00:0065, I'm in 465.465 feet, 4.065, 4.065.
00:05Yeah, we had an increased yarding today, over 2,000 cattle with sort of every type of animal represented in
00:14the yarding.
00:14So we had heavy feeder steers, store steers, every breed you can think of and every age drop.
00:21So it's a bit of a, this sale tends to be the wiener sales are over and then everything sort
00:26of gets tidied up and gets bought in.
00:27And there were some cows, PGIC as well.
00:30Yeah, and some heavy end cattle, well over 400 kilos obviously in here as well.
00:34Yeah, some heavy end Angus and coloured cattle and they were sort of 470 to 490, probably firm on previous
00:44markets.
00:44The mid-range steers, they were anywhere from sort of $5.20 to $5.70 or $8.80 at the
00:53better end.
00:53So that probably ranged right down to, you know, your lighter weights being at that highest since a kilo, you
00:59know, pushing $6.
01:00And they're really light and small and young.
01:02So that was really solid.
01:04A bit of a local buying gallery today, in fact all local with a couple of feedlotters.
01:08So if you'd seen anything today, I think you would have been satisfied with the results on the steers.
01:14Yeah, and then the heifers, how did they?
01:16Yeah, the heifer job was definitely dearer, a little bit dearer.
01:20You'd say dearer without being drastically dearer.
01:22Sort of 440 to 470.
01:25And with the odd pin at $5.00 and some really, really light heifers actually made $6.00 a kilo.
01:30Real little squeakers.
01:32Seemed to be some consolidation there.
01:34Maybe some laying the groundwork for the rain that's coming from the north, putting out those really well-bred heifers.
01:40We did have some lovely heifers in there too.
01:42People have sort of picked out their retainers and now they're selling the ones that are left.
01:47And they're pretty handy.
01:48So they sold really well as well.
01:50A lot went into the Lissendale district.
01:52And yeah, very strong in Lissendale today, I'd say.
01:56And that's in preparation for what's to come.
01:59You know, we've got probably, there's talk of even 100 mils over the weekend.
02:03So everyone's waiting their bated breath.
02:05And finally, there was a few cows.
02:07You had some black cows in there.
02:09Were you happy how they sold?
02:10Yeah, they were sort of a bit of a weird calving for us.
02:12They were calving in the middle of winter.
02:13One lot of Herefords was unjoined.
02:15So a bit of a mixed bag.
02:17They made from 20, they made sort of probably processor money.
02:22Yeah, yeah.
02:23So they made sort of mid to 2000s.
02:26Yeah.
02:26And went to, you know, local breeders slash punters to carve down.
02:31So, yeah, they sold okay on the market too.
02:34And finally, there seemed to be a bit of, as you talked about with this rain coming, there seemed to
02:37be a bit of optimism around.
02:39Do you think people are pretty excited where this cattle job could be going?
02:42I think so.
02:43It didn't really manifest itself today on a huge jump.
02:46But there's definitely a real, a bigger buying, broader buying gallery.
02:51And everyone buying to a figure at the moment.
02:53Whether we, we're not staring out the window at grass yet.
02:56So when that happens, look out.
