Prices lifted at least 20c/kg at Naracoorte's monthly store sale.
Transcript
00:00Overall, very good sale. I think it was about 900 steers, 900 tempers yardage.
00:04Steers were probably sort of 20 to 30 cents better than the last sale.
00:08A lot of your good black feeder steers is sort of 530 to sort of 560.
00:13Down to your lighter cattle, you sort of nearly saw some of those light little steers out to $6, which is very good.
00:19And probably today, it's good to see.
00:21All the cattle not far behind, like sort of probably only 20 to 30 cents behind, which we haven't seen for a while.
00:26A lot of good rainfall around at the moment. There's plenty of feed probably further south that they stopped early.
00:31So there's a lot of competition.
00:33Yeah, Gambia, Panola, Gaston areas, a little bit of support from the way.
00:38But yeah, a lot of those cattle sort of heading sort of Panola south, I suppose.
00:42Weiner sales got sort of probably $1 to $1.20 a kilo gap between steers and heppers.
00:47Whereas today, a lot of those heppers will probably only make sort of 30 to 40 cents gap, I suppose, see.
00:53And, yeah, a bit of grade of interest, those heavier heppers, good faint lot interest in seeing a lot of coloured heppers and a lot of black heppers.
01:03There's plenty of race stock demand, so we're all pretty solid.
