Combined agents Naracoorte weaner steer sale

TDC Livestock & Property agent Jamie Gray, after the first Naracoorte combined agents weaner steer sale for 2026. About 3300 steers were yarded.

00:00It started pretty sedue, the bidding was not there, but as the sale went on it started to fire up,

00:06especially when we got into the EU cattle.

00:08Definitely in the mid fives to high fives for the lighter cattle.

00:12The heavier cattle around the $5 mark, definitely the EU cattle had a premium today.

00:18And unweaned cattle really got a hammering.

00:22A few to Gippsland and a few up north, but mainly local.

00:26Our TDC sale was about on the same money as before Christmas.

00:30Maybe even a fraction deer on the lighter cattle.

00:34Earlier on the season was pretty ornery.

00:36We had a brilliant spring, especially down in the south areas of the southeast was an excellent spring.

00:45The cattle have come through with a fair bit of weight for cattle this year, which is really good.
