Between the *wink, Edelman and Gronk interview, Brown being a former Pats fan, and having played for Vrabel, the rumors swirl-
Transcript
00:00My lead this morning is about A.J. Brown. Whether it is Saquon Barkley talking about how A.J. Brown,
00:06the wink that we all saw with Edelman and Gronk, it was all about because he grew up a Patriots
00:12fan
00:12and he loves the Patriots. He loved Tom Brady, so on, so forth. But whenever people bring up A.J.
00:18Brown, we constantly have people calling in, texting in, writing in Twitch or YouTube
00:21that they're worried about the personality. How will he do when it comes to coming into this
00:27locker room issues he's had in the past? And I feel like sometimes we focus so much on the
00:33negativity when it comes to these players and not the positive messages they send out.
00:38And in the wake of the terrible suicide of Rondell Moore, the Vikings wide receiver,
00:44A.J. Brown took to social media yesterday, posted an over nine minute video. So we obviously can't
00:49play all of that. But if you have the time today to watch it, I think it's a great watch.
00:53Um, and he was as raw as you could be. Um, he's talking about, you know, don't take the easy
01:00way out. I once thought that that was the way for me. Um, being very vulnerable when speaking about
01:06trying to take his own life at one point, uh, talking about the fact that all the negative
01:10thoughts in your head, just then look in the mirror and say 10 positive things about you.
01:15I think that sometimes we are so hyped up on the negative side of these athletes that we forget
01:22that they're actual human beings. And yes, they may screw up here and there. They may say something
01:26that they regret down the road, but to look at the entire person. And I saw that video yesterday
01:31and I said, this is another reason why this is a guy I want in this locker room. I think
01:35his
01:35relationship with Mike Vrabel, the fact that he was a Patriots fan growing up, the fact that he loves
01:40the new England Patriots, but also his vulnerability and his ability to just speak person to person,
01:46human to human, and not as a professional athlete, um, does something for me. So I continue to be on
01:51the train of, I would love AJ Brown in this locker room. Now he's going to cost you a couple
01:55picks
01:56and a player shot. I heard you talking about this over the weekend. Also. Yeah. Meggo had suggested
02:02that it might be a couple of picks in a player that that to me is a price that the
02:05Patriots will not
02:06pay. They won't pay it. No, I think you, I could be, I would be, I feel like they would
02:13be open to
02:14like a straight up first round pick for AJ Brown trade. I think that would be in play. But when
02:19you're talking about multiple picks and a player, I think they would be very hesitant to do that.
02:23And I think multiple picks means like, if you're giving up a first round, they're probably saying,
02:27all right, you got to throw a fourth round in there, which I would do. I don't, I don't want,
02:30I don't want people to think multiple picks means like a multiple first and second round.
02:35No, I, but I look back to Wiggy when Steph Diggs got traded from Minnesota to Buffalo. It was like
02:40a one, three and a five. Like, I don't know, like if the Patriots are being told, yeah, it's going
02:45to
02:46be a one, four and a player. They're not going to do that. But I don't know if that price
02:49tag is that
02:50high on AJ Brown. You know what I mean? I think if you offered Philadelphia a first round pick,
02:55if you offered them their 30, your 31st overall pick, they would take that in a heartbeat.
