Wiggy believes there's still something big coming for #Patriots ! Could a big name WR still be on the way? Would Eagles deal A.J. Brown?

00:00The New England Patriots, I believe, have something brewing,

00:03something big up their sleeve when it comes to the wide receiver position.

00:06I know we talked about the offensive line and I think the Morgan Moses thing

00:12and what potentially could be doing.

00:14I think there's an opportunity for them to maybe draft some guys later in the draft

00:20when it comes to help at the offensive line.

00:23I still think you could probably get some depth.

00:25Maybe you move Moses to left tackle for a year.

00:29But I think there's going to be a big splash when it comes to the wide receiver.

00:33And I think that's going to be via trade.

00:37So because for them to address really every position,

00:43but not really address, I think, their position that they need the most

00:48and that it's the hottest to find, in my opinion,

00:52when it comes to finding that elite wide receiver

00:55that can literally change the face of your offense,

00:59there is something big up that sleeve.

01:01And I don't know what that is.

01:02I don't know if it's an A.J. Brown trade.

01:04I don't know.

01:05I know some people are not a big fan of it.

01:07I don't know if it's a George Pickens trade.

01:09But there is something big that I believe the Patriots will do

01:12and address when it comes to the wide receiver position.

01:15Well, they have to be, like, it has to be at the top of their list.

01:19Yes, and that's why I think that it's something big

01:22because they're not really doing anything when you come

01:26and you start to look at where they are with the position.

01:29It has to be trade, though.

01:31Really, there's not, Shine, correct me,

01:33there's really nothing left for the agency.

01:35No, there's like nothing left for the agency.

01:37And I hate to be a wet blanket, but they're not trading for anybody.

01:41They're not trading draft picks.

01:42They've shown you they have zero interest in trading

01:44even their seventh round draft picks,

01:46just have the rights to talk to the guy

01:48and keep him at least under the contract he currently has.

01:50Like they're not trading actual draft capital for any players.

01:53I'm sorry, it's not happening.

01:55Would anybody be opposed to trading the fourth overall pick for AJ Brown?

01:59Yes, that's a good one.

02:02I might be on board for that.

02:08I mean, you're on the AJ Brown train

02:13because of his experience with Rable.

02:16Yeah, he's good.

02:17He's this thing, he's fast, he's talented, he can catch the ball.

02:22Eagles have already said they're not trading him.

02:24Yeah, that's what they say.

02:25A lot of people say a lot of things, and then you give them the right price.

02:28But I think something big is going to happen.

02:30And I believe maybe there's deeper conversations

02:35that are trying to happen with AJ Brown.

02:37Maybe that's why they've been a little hesitant

02:40with some of these other receivers, whether it's Deebo, Samuel.

02:43But I'm telling you, something big is happening.

02:46All I ask is that just like with the Red Sox,

02:48when you said they would sign somebody,

02:50if they don't do it, you have to criticize them.

02:53And if they do do it, I will admit that I was dead wrong.

02:55I'm telling you, I don't see them trading any valuable draft capital

02:59for anybody at this point.

03:01And just to be clear, so people out there

03:03would rather have the short-arm tackle than AJ effing Brown.

03:13The tackle could have 60-inch arms.

03:15AJ Brown is a legit proven commodity.

03:18So you would have no concern whatsoever giving the 4-up for that?

03:24One of the odds that the guy they pick at 4

03:26is as good as AJ Brown at his position.

03:29And who cares about the money?

03:31The cap is gone.

03:32It's only financials the reason you wouldn't do it,

03:34and there's no reason not to.

03:35But what if you were looking at Travis Hunter?

03:38I would still go with AJ Brown.

03:40If everything goes well with Travis Hunter,

03:42he is almost as good as a receiver as AJ Brown,

03:45but never quite as good.

03:46You just locked up the corner.

03:48You have two good corners.

03:49Why would you need Travis Hunter?

03:51Listen, Travis Hunter wouldn't even be able to be

03:53in the same category at wide receiver

03:55when it comes to AJ Brown

03:56because Travis Hunter is going to play cornerback

03:58and 90%, 95% of his practice time

04:02is going to go to cornerback.

04:04So he'll be a,

04:07and I think you said this yesterday, Greg Best,

04:09he'll be a gadget guy.

04:11And that's fine,

04:12but AJ Brown is a legitimate number one wide receiver.

04:17Now, Travis Hunter will be a good cornerback,

04:19but you already signed the cornerback.

04:20You have two good cornerbacks.
