Transkript
00:14Sardines, anyone?
00:15I can't believe you brought that to the Emperor's Villa.
00:19Wine.
00:20Bertungs and Asmik.
00:23So, what have you heard?
00:25I've just returned from the forums of Reditus.
00:27It seems that Crisis underscore Panzersuit is a little concerned about the volcano.
00:33And how our young governor will be able to build cities around it.
00:37Hungry hearts of the future empires.
00:39A stage for ambition.
00:41This is the largest land we've ever seen.
00:43What if it erupts?
00:45What will happen to the people?
00:46Our farms to this tavern?
00:48Expansion requires sacrifices.
00:50Preferably someone else's.
00:52As long as no lava hits the bathhouse, we'll be fine.
00:55True, true.
00:55There's always a silver lining to a mountain spitting fire and ash.
00:59I predict cycles of bounteous bloom with phoenix-like fertility.
01:04Sounds like we need to please Vulcan.
01:07Reckon 30 pigs will do it?
01:09Have you heard this rumor from Discordia of Monuments?
01:13Nighthawk 1176 whispered something of unparalleled prestige.
01:18It's a library.
01:20Thanks.
01:21Hero underscore Trevelyan thinks it's a hippodrome.
01:24A hippodrome?
01:25Nothing make me happier.
01:27The equine architecture.
01:30Games!
01:31And gambling.
01:32Roaring crowds.
01:34Daring wages.
01:35Think about the columns.
01:38Wench vein of Discordia imagined a spectacle.
01:40Dust in the air.
01:42Chariots wheel to wheel.
01:43Sweaty riders whipping their horses.
01:45Mawling each other to death.
01:49I mean, I'm sure the architecture's the real draw.
01:53Fantasies aside, a hippodrome would certainly bring unparalleled fame to the governor who builds it.
02:00Speaking of governors, I have heard that we shall soon settle our very own province.
02:06The river delta of Egyptus?
02:08Yes.
02:08Amorable contest 3-1-1-2 is worried that the delta may burst forth with floods.
02:13Oh, right.
02:15So now spitting lava and flooding rivers.
02:17Bye, Hercules.
02:18Actually, the river delta is rumored to be quite lush.
02:22Banticus mentioned it's Rome's breadbasket with new trade routes and ships sailing on the rivers.
02:28Flowing of exotic goods.
02:30And new cultures.
02:31That we can Romanize.
02:32Surely the emperor would grant the governor untold riches.
02:35Hold on.
02:36This ancient civilization must have technologies we haven't discovered.
02:40New ways of fighting.
02:42New deities to offer their boons.
02:45Nothing can come close to the greatness of the Roman Empire.
02:48And plus, Taka agrees.
02:50The pyramids are so out of fashion.
02:53Indeed.
02:54I have heard they are in need of repair.
02:57You won't catch me repairing them giant towers.
03:00I got fields to tend, wood to chop, sardines to catch.
03:04And porridge don't just eat itself, you know.
03:06I'm sure the town crier knows something.
03:09No one's seen him since the wolf nursed the twins.
03:12Poor Sap.
03:14Though, I always liked his voice.
03:20That's the volcano.
03:21We need the pigs.
03:22Pigs won't save us now.
03:24We only hope that our young governor has what it takes to lead us through river floods,
03:28trade disputes, cultural conflicts, shady wages, volcanic eruptions, bird tongue shortages.
03:35Our young governor can take it from here.
03:51We'll see you next time.
