Do you think NHS dentistry still feels like part of the NHS, or has it become something different, and what’s your experience of trying to see a dentist?

00:00During COVID I lost my dentist because he said I didn't go to my regular appointments even though they were
00:05closed and it took me a good while to find another NHS dentist which is mainly private but so no
00:15it's certainly gone downhill and they hardly do anything for you on your normal tier so it's definitely gone downhill
00:24in my opinion.
00:25My recent experience has been fairly good. I had to have a heart surgery a few years ago for which
00:33I had to have a certificate signed off by my dentist and I was able to sort that out quite
00:39easily.
00:40Accessing dentistry is very difficult nowadays. You'll take like months maybe years in a queue for maybe just getting something
00:48as simple as braces and I think something like braces like a lot of people need it nowadays.
00:53So I don't think it should take that long to just have basic access to things that will help your
00:58teeth in the future.
