02:16I'll see you next time.
02:48I'll see you next time.
03:06I'll see you next time.
03:30Hey, you.
04:01You're with the teeth.
04:20I'll see you next time.
04:49I'll see you next time.
05:55You see,
06:00I'll see you next time.
06:42I'll see you next time.
07:00I'll see you next time.
08:00Love each other.
08:03Love each other.
08:17Love each other.
08:44Love each other.
08:48Love each other.
09:31Be somebody.
10:01I'll see you next time.
10:02I'll see you next time.
10:02I'll see you next time.
10:18I'll see you next time.
10:35I'll see you next time.
10:37I'll see you next time.
10:40I'll see you next time.
10:59I'll see you next time.
10:59Just close your eyes.
11:02Imagine positive images so that you can make your anger work for you instead of against you.
11:11I'll see you next time.
11:12Okay, open your eyes.
11:24Anger. Use it. But don't lose it.
11:38I'll see you next time.
11:39I'll see you next time.
11:39Be somebody.
11:46Starling.
11:49Hey, everybody gotta wear clothes.
11:51And if you don't, you'll get arrested.
11:53But that don't mean you gotta let some fashion designers in New York or Paris
11:56tell you what to wear.
11:58Clothes express your personality.
12:00So express yourself.
12:02Not someone else.
12:03Calvin Klein, Bill Blass, or Gloria Vanderbilt
12:07wear clothes with your name on it?
12:09No. Of course not.
12:11So you table the label.
12:12And wear your own name.
12:20Xena and Xena.
12:21For that exciting walk to the grocery store.
12:24Here's Xena and Xena from San Bernardino.
12:28Thank you, Xena and Xena.
12:40And here's Marta, our subway sweetheart, taking the A train to fashion
12:45in this graffiti-inspired creation.
12:47With her mustard socks and her ketchup sash.
12:50She's a real hot dog.
13:09Jeff.
13:10Who's the hippest cat in town?
13:12Ain't no doubt when Jeff's around.
13:14With pants peg tight and hair in fitness.
13:16He's the 80s nod to 50s splendor.
13:19Stay cool, Jeff.
13:39Athena.
13:40With her English bowler hat and Japanese kimono.
13:43Athena combines the very best of East and West with more than a dash of American-style know-how.
13:49Whether she's fixing her bike or prepping for the prom, she's a living United Nation.
13:53But there's no need to vote on this outfit.
13:55Thank you, Athena.
14:09All dressed up with no place to go.
14:11No sweat, says Kelly.
14:13I'll just run around the block a few times.
14:15And she probably won't be running alone in this versatile outfit.
14:18Perfect for stopping traffic and starving.
14:20Who knows what?
14:35Manny.
14:36All the break's been going well for Manny.
14:38He's wearing the B-boy look.
14:39B for breaking?
14:40And boy, do that look tough.
14:59And here's Janine, cool as a peppermint ice cream, in her pink ensemble and frosty white pumps.
15:06Steer every breeze, Janine.
15:07It's getting hot in here.
15:22Hey, that was great.
15:24I like that.
15:25Don't you?
15:26Blow your Vanderbilt.
15:27Bill Blast.
15:28Calvin Klein.
15:30Eat your heart out.
15:31And remember, table the label.
15:33And wear your own name.
15:36Beat somebody!
15:38Beat somebody!
15:55Peer pressure.
16:04Everyone wants to be accepted by the group.
16:07But that doesn't mean you have to accept everything the group does.
16:15Everybody wants to be accepted by the group.
16:17But it's important to be doing yourself.
16:21Ain't what you do.
16:23Right or go.
16:24It's what you do.
16:26Nobody else.
16:29Be your pressure.
16:30Be your pressure.
16:32You don't have to follow the means.
16:35Be your pressure.
16:37Be your pressure.
16:38Listen to your heart and believe
16:43Everybody's pulling at you
16:45Wanting you to be one of them
16:48But they'll accept you, whatever you do
16:52Cause that's the way you'll be friends
16:57Be a pressure, be a pressure
16:59If you don't have to follow the leads
17:04Be a pressure, be a pressure
17:06Listen to your heart and believe
17:11You've got the choice to
17:13Do you want to believe or follow the leads
17:18It's up to you, where you go, what you do
17:24Be a pressure, be a pressure
17:27If you don't have to follow the leads
17:31Be a pressure, be a pressure
17:34Listen to your heart and believe
17:39Be a pressure, be a pressure
17:41If you don't have to follow the leads
17:45Be a pressure, be a pressure
17:48Listen to your heart and believe
18:07You've got the choice to
18:09Do you want to believe or follow the leads
18:14It's up to you, where you go, what you do
18:21Be a pressure, be a pressure
18:23If you don't have to follow the leads
18:27Be a pressure, be a pressure
18:30Listen to your heart and believe
18:35Be a pressure, be a pressure
18:37If you don't have to follow the leads
18:41Be a pressure, be a pressure
18:44Listen to your heart and believe
19:02Be a pressure, be a pressure
19:05If you don't have to follow the leads
19:09Be a pressure, be a pressure
19:12Listen to your heart and believe
19:17Be a pressure, be a pressure
19:19If you don't have to follow the leads
19:23Be a pressure, be a pressure
19:26Listen to your heart and believe
19:30Be a pressure, if you don't have to follow the leads
19:46Be somebody.
19:52Recouping.
19:56Oh, hi there. I'm Dr. T.
19:59Have you ever been embarrassed, ashamed, or exposed?
20:02I mean, done something so absolutely ludicrous
20:05that you wish you could have moved to a deserted island
20:07and had your head in the sand?
20:09I mean, check this out.
20:21Now, how can that little brother recoup?
20:23Let's run that again.
20:40Is that recouping, or is that recouping?
20:43So the next time you find yourself in an absolute ludicrous situation...
20:46Mr. T.
20:47Don't go hide your head in the sand.
20:49Mr. T, you're...
20:50Recoup instead.
20:52Your pants.
21:05Recouping.
21:06One out of one, Dr. T's recommended.
21:10Be somebody.
21:34Creating.
21:37Creating.
21:38Creating is a way of making your mark.
21:39Some people paint.
21:41Others make music.
21:42Or write.
21:44Still others make art with their body.
21:57The next time you find yourself in an absolute world.
21:58The next time you find yourself in an absolute world.
22:00The next time you find yourself in an absolute world.
22:01The next time you find yourself in an absolute world.
22:01The next time you find yourself in an absolute world.
22:02The next time you find yourself in an absolute world.
22:02The next time you find yourself in an absolute world.
22:02The next time you find yourself in an absolute world.
22:02The next time you find yourself in an absolute world.
22:03The next time you find yourself in an absolute world.
22:03The next time you find yourself in an absolute world.
22:04The next time you find yourself in an absolute world.
22:14The next time you find yourself in an absolute world.
22:29Can you throw a wave?
22:33Yeah.
22:34How you doing?
22:35No, seriously.
22:37Pretend there's a basketball in front of you.
22:39Start with your hand at the top of the basketball.
22:41Try to get to the bottom without letting go of the basketball.
22:44Put your fingers in, bring them down, sliding it, underneath the basketball, to your elbow,
22:52to your shoulder, with your shoulder, down to the other elbow, and out.
22:58And bring it back.
23:00Let me see you try that.
23:07Hey, look at that.
23:10The next thing is it's called a tick.
23:12It's a mechanical sharp movement.
23:14Start with your wrist, elbow, shoulder, shoulder, elbow, wrist, again.
23:23You can either do it fast or slow.
23:24It doesn't matter.
23:25By the way, this is called passing.
23:28Okay, try to do it fast.
23:33And the last one I'm going to show you, you've got to step back a little bit.
23:37This is called backsliding.
23:39This is called backsliding.
23:50Okay, to do this movement, you have to have your weight on one leg, and then, and the other leg
23:56is straight, sliding back to the other foot, shifting the weight, and changing the knee.
24:04Switch, slide, switch, slide, switch, and when you start getting the hang of it, then you can go faster.
24:12And use the mirror, it's always good.
24:14Let me see you do it.
24:15Well, I tell you what, I'm going to practice on that.
24:20I'll be back tomorrow.
24:21Okay.
24:32Now that you got popping, you want to let some breaking?
24:35Oh, man.
24:36Why don't you shoot me?
24:37I'll watch.
24:38Okay, this is some basic footwork.
24:40Go ahead.
24:44We're doing up rock, into his floor work, into baby swipes.
24:53Spin around, into our baby swipes, into the introduction.
25:02Now these are windmills, high push-up windmills, where you throw your weight and you push up.
25:10And these are speed windmills.
25:30I'll be back.
25:57Hey, you people at home, are you getting this?
26:01One day, you might be as good as me.
26:13Yeah!
26:14All right, let's see!
26:20Be somebody!
26:30Twelve, you couldn't be more than five.
26:33You're so fat they have to jack you up to take off your shoes.
26:37Yeah, well, you're so skinny your eyes are in single file.
26:41Well, you're so ugly your ears stick out to get away from your face.
26:45Well, your mama is so...
26:47Wait a minute, wait a minute.
26:48Don't bring any one mother into this.
26:50She ain't here.
26:51And if it wasn't for your mother, you wouldn't be here.
26:53So remember, when you put down one mother, you put down mothers all over the world.
27:22Let's go.
27:24Let's go.
27:25Let's go.
27:27Mother, I always love her.
27:30My mother, so treat her right, treat her right.
27:35M is for the moan and the miserable groan from the pain that she felt when I was born.
27:42O is for the oven with the burning heat where she stood making sure I had something to eat.
27:48T is for the time that she stayed up at night and took my temperature when I wasn't feeling right.
27:56H is for the hard-earned money she spent to keep clothes on my back and try to pay the
28:03rent.
28:04E is every wrinkle I put on her face and every worry that I caused when I stayed out late.
28:11The last letter R is that she taught me respect and for the rule up in heaven that I know
28:17she'll get.
28:19Mother, there is no other like mother, so treat her right.
28:26Mother, I always love her.
28:30My mother, so treat her right, treat her right.
28:34Treat her right, treat your mother right.
28:48She's a queen, second to none.
28:51Take care of mother, you only get one.
29:04Treat her right, treat your mother right.
29:25Mother, there is no other like mother, so treat her right.
29:33Mother, I always love her.
29:36My mother, so treat her right, treat her right.
29:44Be somebody.
29:51Work out.
30:08Oh, I'm so full, I can't move.
30:12Me too, I feel like I'm gonna explode.
30:15What y'all doing to your bodies?
30:17Popcorn, potato chip, candy, soda pop.
30:21This ain't good, you gotta keep your bodies in shape.
30:23I'm waiting for this new gym to open on my corner.
30:26You don't need no fancy new gym and pay all that money.
30:29This is a gym right here.
30:32Yeah.
30:32Can I borrow this?
30:33Yes.
30:39Can you do this?
30:40I can do that.
30:45One, two, three.
30:47Let's do it too.
30:47Oh, that's good.
30:53Oh, that's good.
30:57Oh.
30:58Oh, that's good.
31:02Yeah, you getting there all right.
31:04That's pretty good.
31:05How about your bag of popcorn?
31:08All right.
31:14All right.
31:14What about this?
31:15Here it is.
31:16That too.
31:22Let me try it.
31:23Oh.
31:24Good.
31:27All right.
31:32All right.
31:39Oh.
31:40My, my.
31:41I'm about to get you in shape my way.
31:43Come on.
31:44Let's go.
31:46Follow me.
32:10Sweat.
32:12Make your body work.
32:17To get wet.
32:21Now is the time to make your move.
32:28Better put on those dancing shoes.
32:35Work.
32:36In the distance.
32:38The body's electric.
32:42Let's do it.
32:44Till we join us again.
32:49Burn.
32:53Sweat.
32:54Make your body work.
32:59To get wet.
33:04Fill the current.
33:05Go through your veins
33:11Temperatures so high
33:13You're a burning flame
33:18It's so hot
33:19But you don't want to stop
33:25You look like
33:26See if you can do what we're doing
33:28Get on your feet
33:29Ten knee bends
33:31Twenty jumping jacks
33:33Five push-ups
33:34Running on the spot
33:35Every day
33:37Start stretching
33:38Get wet
33:46Burn
33:53Our body rock is so hot
33:57Our body rock is so hot
34:00Our body rock is so hot
34:04Our body rock is so hot
34:07Our body rock is so hot
34:11Our body rock is so hot
34:15Burn
34:18What?
34:20Make your body work
34:25Get wet
34:26Get wet
34:27Get wet
34:29Burn
34:30Burn
34:32Swat
34:34Make your body work
34:37Get wet
34:43Burn
34:44Burn
34:47Sweat
34:48Make your body work
34:51Be somebody
34:53Be somebody
34:54Be somebody
35:09Hey, quiet down there
35:12Hey, you
35:12Hey
35:14Hey
35:15Hey
35:23Rappin'
35:25Rappin'
35:30Rappin' is like street poetry
35:32It lets you express your feelings inside
35:34Or the way you are
35:36Rappin'
35:36It's like your signature
35:37Your outfit
35:39Or the way you move
35:41Even if you don't know it
35:42Everybody's gotta rap
35:43But we don't all work on it
35:46Rappin's gotta be in rhyme
35:48If it's not
35:49It ain't what you're done
35:56Rappin' is the way of saying knock knock
35:58Who's there?
35:59Me
36:00Open the door and listen to what I got to say
36:07We all know it's like a jungle
36:10And that's the way it is
36:12Hard times and bad times are being free to our dears
36:17Survival is so rough, so tough
36:19Without the dollar bill
36:21And with all the problems of the world today
36:23We are taxed for overkill
36:25They say the message is real dope
36:28It's just like that
36:30But believe in me and I'm Mr. T
36:32That's not where it's at
36:39This morning you wake up
36:40Turn on your radio
36:41You rhyme with the rap
36:42On the records that you know
36:43And they talk about war and polity
36:45And the whole hot circuit reality
36:47I used to sound good but it makes you feel sad
36:50You're worried about things you wish you had
36:52Then you go to work or school with your head held down
36:54Wait a minute, get your face up off the ground
36:57You gotta realize that I have a lot
36:59But you better thank God for what you got
37:01Stop being so they dress the tree up
37:03Don't be sad
37:03Cause they ain't drop the bomb
37:04So it ain't that bad
37:09I'm not a happy politician
37:12But I have a college degree
37:14And I'm the one to provide up
37:16On your society
37:18I feel the world has got a chance
37:21For real prosperity
37:22And if you work together for a brother
37:25You're right to Mr. T
37:27Listen
37:28I am
37:29I am somebody
37:32I am
37:34I am somebody
37:36I am
37:38I am somebody
37:41I am
37:43I am somebody
37:47I know the world will be a better place
37:50If you stop telling people and forget about the race
37:52Plan a future of tension
37:53The will to achieve
37:54You can bend you to the top
37:55But you got to believe
37:56We have to realize that the fate of the world
37:58Lives in the future of our boys and girls
38:01Don't sleep your life away
38:02Don't sleep every day
38:03Cause you need an education to get the top play
38:09So it don't take a genius
38:11To be able to see
38:13That we have got to push ourselves
38:16To meet all we can be
38:18But yet we work together
38:20For peace and love
38:22I'm sure that we can make it
38:25With help from God above
38:27I am
38:29I am somebody
38:31I am
38:33I am somebody
38:36I am
38:37Hey, that was my rap
38:38Why don't you try to make one
38:40I am
38:42I am somebody
38:45I am
38:51I am somebody
38:53I am
38:55I am
38:57I am somebody
38:58I am
38:59Be somebody
38:59I am
39:00I am
39:01I am somebody
39:23Where I come from
39:24A true friend
39:25Is someone that when you get bit by a snake in the big toe
39:28They'll be there to start the poison out
39:30I mean, that's a real true friend
39:33Oh no
39:34A snake just bit me in the big toe
39:38Sometimes a true friend is hard to find
39:41Excuse me
40:06You want to make a new friend
40:09But you say you're too shy
40:13Try
40:14Try
40:16How can you let the boy know
40:19That he's your kind of guy
40:23Try
40:26When it's love that pins at your heart
40:29It's only trying to give you a start
40:34Push in the right direction
40:36And if he means that much to you
40:39Then there's only one thing to do
40:46Try
40:47Love is always passing us by
40:52If you want it, you can have it
40:56Reach right out and grab it
40:59Maybe he's just waiting for a sign
41:06Try
41:08Turn your imagination up high
41:12Throw a smile in his direction
41:16Show some affection
41:18You'll never know unless you try
41:24You'll never know if you don't have it
41:38You'll never know if you want it
41:39About it
41:57When it's love that pulls at your heart
41:59It's only trying to give you a start
42:04A push in the right direction
42:06And if he means that much to you
42:09Then there's only one thing to do
42:17Trying to love is always passing us by
42:22If you want it you can have it
42:26Reach right out and grab it
42:29Maybe he's just waiting for a sign
42:35Oh try
42:38Turn your imagination up high
42:42Throw a smile in his direction
42:46Show him some affection
42:48You'll never know unless you try
42:57Want to make a new friend
42:59But you say you're too shy
43:03Try
43:06How can you let the boy know
43:09That he's your kind of guy
43:19You've got to try
43:22Try, try, try
43:29You've got to try
43:32Try, try
43:36Try, try, try
44:10Boy, it wasn't easy, but if I can do it, you can do it too.
44:14So don't quit.
44:15Don't look at him.
44:16I'm talking to you.
44:17That's right, you.
44:19If you want to be somebody, then it's going to take some hard work.
44:26Mr. T's Tale.
44:31Mr. T, did you ever belong to a gang when you were growing up?
44:36No, not me.
44:37But there was a lot of street gangs in my neighborhood.
44:39I mean, a lot of them.
44:40But I didn't join because my mother didn't want me to be a part of no bad boys.
44:45So I always wanted to do what my mother told me to.
44:46You know, it reminds me of a story about Jackie and Ricky.
44:51Well, I started at the beginning.
44:54Well, many years ago, well, not that many years ago, there was this young man named Ricky.
44:59They liked this young lady named Jackie.
45:01I guess she was about 17, 18 years old.
45:04But they lived on two different parts of town.
45:07Ricky lived on the south side of town.
45:09And Jackie, she lived on the north side of town.
45:13Now, where Ricky lived that, you know, there was a street gang called the Mighty Midgets.
45:17And where Jackie lived that, there was a street gang called the Crazy Cats.
45:21And they always used to fight.
45:23You know, they wanted to be the top gang in the city.
45:26They used to fight all the time.
45:27But anyway, one night, there was a big dance.
45:30Ricky went to the dance.
45:31Then he got in a fight with one of the gang members of the Crazy Cats.
45:36And that's the part of town where Jackie lived that.
45:39And so therefore, when Jackie's mother heard about that, then she was really sure that Ricky was a part of
45:44the gang.
45:45And Jackie was trying to explain to her mother that Ricky wasn't a gang member.
45:50But, uh...
45:52But what?
45:52Uh, I can't remember.
45:55I might get the story wrong.
45:57Oh, no!
45:59Oh, yes!
46:00Uh, you gotta go read the ending yourself.
46:05Read it?
46:06Didn't you make this up?
46:07Well, heaven have.
46:09I halfway made it up and halfway was true.
46:13Well, the real story is called Romeo and Juliet.
46:16And it was written by this English guy named William Shakespeare.
46:19That English dude?
46:20I thought he only wrote old-time stories.
46:23No, little brother.
46:24He wrote a lot of good stuff.
46:26And you can check him out at the library.
46:28And reading can be fun.
46:29It can take you places you've never been.
46:31It can inspire you to make your dreams come true.
46:35Really.
46:43Be somebody!
