00:16Ah, hello there. You caught me just about to preview our new Eagle Eyes safety show.
00:23Quite a cast of characters here.
00:26There's old Theodore Eagle. Never misses a beat when it comes to water safety.
00:30And Amelia Eagle. Always alert for fires.
00:33And of course, there's Eddie Eagle. Alert for gun safety.
00:37What? You haven't heard of Eddie Eagle?
00:40Why, he's the number one ace in the skies. A real hero, I'd say.
00:52Eddie was born in the mountains of the great Northwest. High in the mountains.
01:02Here he is. Just popping out of the shell.
01:13Hello, world.
01:17From his first day out, Eddie had a natural talent for loops.
01:20Wow.
01:22Hey, look at that.
01:24Hey, I think I got it, Mom.
01:27Whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa.
01:30Whoa.
01:33Eddie had other talents, too.
01:34First, his ability to see a long way.
01:37Yep, he had those Eagle Eyes.
01:40Eagle Eyes, always alert, and a big heart for others.
01:46It was Eddie's heart that led him to join the Eagle Eye Club,
01:49so he could help children everywhere.
01:54Eddie Eagle, at your service.
01:56Before long, Eddie was in charge of the entire gun safety department.
02:00Let's see what Eddie's up to now.
02:08Yeah, Eddie, what's up?
02:11What's up?
02:12Well, I am, as a matter of fact, about 50 stories, straight up.
02:17Whoa, hey!
02:19Eddie, what's wrong?
02:21Oh, just some stray balloons cluttering up the airways.
02:25Talk about a busy morning, though.
02:27What happened?
02:28Well, I was making my rounds in the countryside.
02:33When through the open window of an attic, I spied five or six kids looking all around, really excited about
02:41neat stuff they'd found.
02:43Grandma's attic was full of fun things.
02:47Lots of old boxes, all tied up with string.
02:50There was a clock, and a globe, and a trunk full of hats.
02:55And an old radio, and a baseball bat.
02:59Oh, and an out-of-tune guitar.
03:05Boy, they were having fun.
03:08And then, behind the broom, I saw a gun.
03:14At just that moment, the kids saw it too.
03:17I didn't wait.
03:18I knew what to do.
03:23Stop!
03:24Don't touch!
03:25I'm Eddie Eagle, and I like you too much.
03:27To see you get hurt, and that's why I say, if you spot a gun, just walk away.
03:32Go find an adult, go tell him what you found.
03:34Guns shouldn't be left lying around.
03:36Yeah, stop!
03:37Don't touch!
03:38Leave the area, tell an adult.
03:40Do it with me now.
03:41Stop!
03:42Don't touch!
03:43Leave the area, tell an adult.
03:46Grandma, we found a gun in the attic!
03:48All right!
03:49The kids told their grandma, and I knew my work was done.
03:52Now they know what to do if they see a gun.
03:56Way to go, Eddie.
03:58Sounds like you got there in the nick of time.
04:00And that isn't all.
04:01You mean there's more?
04:02Hey!
04:03Whoa!
04:04Eddie!
04:05Eddie!
04:05Hey!
04:05Eddie!
04:07Oh, yeah!
04:09There's lots more!
04:10I hurried back to town, to the neighborhood school,
04:13to give a little speech on gun safety rules.
04:16Then I stopped by the park where the little kids play,
04:19and I said,
04:20Do you remember what I taught you yesterday?
04:22And they said,
04:24If you see a gun...
04:27Stop!
04:27Don't touch!
04:28Leave the area, tell an adult!
04:31Stop!
04:32Don't touch!
04:33Leave the area, tell an adult!
04:35Oh, I gotta tell ya, they remembered it well!
04:39I stopped to get a cone, and then settled into phone,
04:43when I heard a funny sound, and I quickly turned around.
04:47I know I saw a present, said Josh to Jill.
04:51Where'd your mom put it?
04:52Asked their friend Phil.
04:54They opened up a closet, and their eyes did spy a big blue box on a shelf up high.
05:01There's a gun up here, I heard Josh say.
05:05That's when I knew this was no place to play.
05:12If you see a gun...
05:15Stop!
05:16Don't touch!
05:17I'm Eddie Eagle, and I like you so much!
05:20Please be safe, go away, it's a must!
05:22Go find an adult, someone you can trust!
05:24Go tell an adult, don't hang around!
05:26Tell them what you saw, tell them what you found!
05:29Stop!
05:30Don't touch!
05:31Leave the area, tell an adult!
05:33Yeah, stop!
05:34Don't touch, leave the area, tell an adult!
05:38The kids found their father, and told them what they found.
05:41And I knew I could leave, because they were safe and sound.
05:45Two in one day, Eddie?
05:47Man, you must be exhausted.
05:48You got that right.
05:50I think I'll take a little break here.
05:53Go ahead.
05:54You deserve it.
05:55Way to go, man.
05:56Hey, thanks.
05:57Huh?
05:58Hmm.
05:59What is it?
06:00Well, it looks like some kids playing hide and seek below.
06:02I'm gonna check it out.
06:04Guess I gotta go!
06:05Later, Eddie.
06:07That's Eddie Eagle.
06:08Eagle eyes, always alert, and he knows what to do.
06:12Do you?
06:13Do you know what to do if you spot a gun?
06:16In fact, if you were one of those kids playing hide and seek, and you found a gun, what would
06:20you do?
06:20Stop!
06:21Don't touch!
06:22Leave the area, tell an adult!
06:24Yeah!
06:25Stop!
06:26Don't touch!
06:27Leave the area, tell an adult!
06:29Talk it over with a grown-up you trust.
06:31Stop!
06:32Don't touch!
06:33Leave the area, tell an adult!
