00:13said the incident was discovered when a resident heard suspicious noises outside his home at around 5 a.m.
00:20The witness later saw a group of men cutting cables and attempted to follow the suspects,
00:26but was warned off by the group.
00:27Ramzi said the incident also went viral after a video surfaced
00:32showing the suspects using several vehicles, including four-wheel drives.
00:36The 14-second clip, widely shared on social media on Saturday,
00:41captured the men carrying out the theft,
00:43as well as the four-wheel drives believed to have been used to transport the stolen copper cables.
00:48Police are still assessing the quantity of stolen cables
00:52and the total losses incurred as investigations continue.
