00:00The other team, though, or one of two others
00:04that I bet in the national championship market
00:06and a team that I do not really understand
00:11why they haven't moved more,
00:13though it's happening a bit,
00:15is the Florida Gators.
00:18I know that Florida lost at home to Auburn,
00:21and it's a real thing that happened.
00:24So you can't strike it from the record.
00:26But if you did, if you did,
00:33I think Florida's looked like the best team
00:35in college basketball for about two months.
00:38And I think there are a bunch of results that suggest that.
00:43They obliterated Tennessee.
00:45They won at Vanderbilt.
00:47They massacred Alabama and then A&M and then Georgia.
00:53I mean, it's a team, JY, who beat South Carolina by 14,
00:59playing pretty terribly.
01:01They go on the road today to Ole Miss.
01:03I know Ole Miss is not great.
01:06Laying 13 and a half in this conference
01:09isn't an easy thing to do.
01:12Laying 13 and a half on the road in the SEC,
01:15they're the only team in the conference
01:17that books would even consider posting that number at.
01:22I'm not playing this game today,
01:23but I have no reason to think
01:25it isn't another impressive performance by Florida,
01:29especially on the defensive side of the basketball.
01:32You know, I was just thinking, Kevin,
01:34as you were talking about how Florida has looked
01:38over the last three or so weeks,
01:43this happened, Kevin Reddy,
01:46around the same time last year.
01:49It was the end of January.
01:52No one was talking about them.
01:54And then, Kevin, you know what happens.
01:57They went on that run.
01:59Now, it's completely different.
02:02It's more big-based than guard-based.
02:05But it is what it is.
02:08And they do a really impressive job
02:12of that three-man attack up front
02:15with Thomas Howe, Alex Conn, and Ruben Chinua.
02:19They bury you on the boards.
02:22I think last week,
02:23I think that all three of them
02:24got the double-digital rebounds.
02:26Like, I think they had, like,
02:2730-something rebounds between the three of them.
02:29That's insane.
02:30So, because of their way
02:32to dominate you on the boards,
02:35an Ole Miss team that's got,
02:37that's 1-11 in quad one wins.
02:40So, you can throw out the chances
02:42of them winning this game
02:43because they just don't have
02:45the wherewithal
02:47to go against teams
02:49that are,
02:51that are like this.
02:52Now,
02:53the way that
02:54Ole Miss can make this interesting
02:56is live off of turnovers
02:58from Florida
02:59and live at the three-point line.
03:02That, that, that is always,
03:03Kevin, right,
03:03the equalizer, right?
03:04You shoot the ball well from three
03:05and you force turnovers
03:07and that is where you could
03:09kind of do your damage.
03:12But when you start looking at it is,
03:14how do you combat that
03:15if you're Florida?
03:16You dominate the boards.
03:18Ready?
03:18Florida, number two in the country
03:20in offensive rebounding percentage.
03:21Ole Miss, 285th.
03:26That's where they are.
03:28Florida, you know,
03:29doesn't shoot the ball well from three,
03:30but Ole Miss doesn't defend
03:32a great from three either.
03:34So,
03:35Florida has the guard play.
03:38They're bigger.
03:39They're more athletic.
03:40And if Ole Miss tries
03:41to make it a running game,
03:43you can do what I call
03:44in the past as a coach
03:45is play volleyball,
03:46which is throw it up
03:47against the backboard
03:48and you got three guys
03:50that are 6'10 or bigger
03:51that are going to get
03:52every offensive rebound
03:53and dominate the game.
03:55I don't know
03:56if Florida covers that spread
03:57because it's still
03:58a lot of points,
04:00but that Ruben Chinlew,
04:01or if you want to take Alex Hall,
04:03or, I mean,
04:04Thomas Hall or Alex Condon,
04:07any of those guys
04:08in the rebounding prop
04:08is where you're going
04:09to win this game
04:10because they are going
04:11to literally punish
04:13that team underneath
04:15for 40 minutes.
04:16We'll see you next time.
04:16We'll see you next time.
04:16Bye.
