00:00Venezuela's Acting President Delcy Rodriguez enacted the Amnesty Law for Democratic Coexistence.
00:06The legal instrument promoted by the Acting President was unanimously approved by the National Assembly on Thursday.
00:13Likewise, according to the Acting Head of State, the objective of this law is to pave the way for reconciliation
00:21with all political sectors in the country.
00:24It should be noted that the measure will not apply to citizens with criminal records for murder, drug trafficking, corruption,
00:31and other serious human rights violations.
00:40Now, as a legal professional, I say that this activity should not end here.
00:46You, the Parliament, have appointed a special commission to monitor the law,
00:53and I ask you to act with the uttermost speed.
00:56Just as you have worked hard for 20 days, I ask you to work as quickly as possible.
01:03I also want to ask the Judicial Revolution Commission,
01:07chaired by the Sectoral Vice President, Diosdado Cabello,
01:12to ask the Venezuelan Parliament and the Program for Democratic Coexistence
01:17and Peace to Activate the Review of Cases Not Covered by the Amnesty Law
01:23and to Make the Appropriate Recommendations to Heal Wounds
01:28to Restore Democratic Coexistence
01:31and Justice
01:35tackle this fundamental task
01:38as one of the great virtues of our republic,
01:42which must be justice,
01:43and I say this before you,
01:45the Venezuelan Parliament,
01:48Venezuelan Society,
01:50and the National Executive
01:53that all of Venezuela take action in this arduous task
01:56where we must all do our part
01:58so that this law opens a new stage
02:00and I repeat
02:01that it be done with the greatest speed.
