00:08Ladies and gentlemen, we're shortly beginning our descent into St. Marie, so if I could ask you to fasten your
00:13seatbelts. Thank you.
00:30We have a situation.
00:34Kevin, I can't help you if you don't talk to me.
00:37I just want this to be over.
00:40But I need to do it in my own time, all right?
00:43I can't be rushed. I won't be rushed.
00:45All right. No one is rushing you.
01:03Kevin, where are you going?
01:07Kevin, please calm down, sweetheart. I'm worried about you. What are you going up there for?
01:12Anthony, are you here?
01:37Oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, yeah.
01:55I wasn't expecting to be picked up.
01:57Your secretary Rosalie thought it would be a good idea.
02:00I'm Leo.
02:01It's a pleasure to meet you, Commissioner.
02:14I've been spending some time in London with my daughter, but I very much have been looking
02:23forward to coming home again.
02:26And what about you?
02:28You're working at Government House?
02:30Interning.
02:31It's been four months now, and I'm totally loving it.
02:35The job, the island.
02:37I didn't know we had in touch.
02:39There's a new business and tourism department.
02:42George McCann heads it up.
02:43I'm not sure if you know of him.
02:45Good.
02:52Rosalie.
02:53Commissioner, I am so sorry to bother you, but I think you need to come straight to Government House.
03:11Is he still up there?
03:13Yes.
03:18What are all these new people doing here?
03:21They're Government Advisors.
03:22Being brought in, you know, to oversee business.
03:24Business and tourism, I know.
03:27But why here?
03:29Kevin!
03:30Please!
03:31Look, come back and talk!
03:34Deborah?
03:34Thank goodness you're here.
03:36George is on his way over.
03:37This is Commissioner Patterson.
03:39I need you to phone the fire brigade and an ambulance, just in case, and, um, alert my team.
03:44Right.
03:47Uh...
03:49Kevin!
03:50My name is Commissioner Patterson.
03:53Perhaps we could talk?
03:54He shut down a few minutes ago.
03:56Just stop talking.
03:57Uh, if you could...
03:59Step aside.
04:09Kevin!
04:12Kevin!
04:14Kevin!
04:15Oh, my God!
04:15Oh, my God!
04:27Oh, my God!
04:28Oh, my God!
04:33Oh, my God!
04:35Oh, my God!
04:52¶¶
05:08I think you should all head inside and wait for me there, please.
05:12Commissioner Paterson, George McCann, Kevin worked for me. Do we know yet why he might have...
05:16If you could just go inside and wait for me on the other, Mr McCann.
05:19Of course.
05:22Ah, emergency services are on their way.
05:25Paramedics are coming, and I spoke to Sergeant Fletcher at the police station.
05:29She's notifying our team.
05:31Sergeant Fletcher?
05:33Who is she?
05:46Say, is there a Sebastian Rose here?
05:53Anyone?
05:58All right.
06:07well i appreciate your attention i said i am looking for a sebastian rose
06:13has anyone seen him yes sir that's me
06:25sebastian rose except for shot well morning officer rose matty fletcher i'm your new sergeant
06:32it's good to meet you nice to meet you so you have a fun night then yeah man partied hard
06:40it was
06:40lit you know i am sorry to poop your party but we've got a call out here i mean when
06:46duty calls
06:47right what wait how did you know i was here and how did you get me uniform i got your
06:52home address
06:53off your file i headed over to your house you were up but your mom was in so we had
06:57a quick chat while
06:57she gave you uniform and iron she seems really cool anyway she had told me that you'd been out at
07:03a
07:03beach party all night which means you're either going to be at total bay or down here at paradise
07:08cool and if you know anything about anything about a beach party which i kind of just assumed you did
07:15then you're going to be a paradise cool so that's what i did and here i am that answer your
07:21question
07:22i guess so
07:40good morning morning sarge morning mattie officially welcome to the team sorry you landed
07:47the sunday shift on your first day but i made saffron buns thank you so much sarge
07:56amazing
07:59so what's your inspector learn he's english right
08:08this harry me old mate is what we call the business
08:19good morning sir good morning inspector
08:24we've got a case i'll take it
08:28he doesn't really do greetings
08:31sergeant mattie fletcher it's great to meet you inspector i was really enjoying my sunday morning
08:36full english last night's match of the day
08:43it's his favorite tv show he's totally obsessed with it
08:51officer rose you're on snaps i'll card enough
08:54what's the story here then victim's kevin felton works as a tech consultant for the business and
09:00tourism team here at government house seems he took his own life
09:05we'll need post-mortem to confirm but paramedics say injuries are consistent with the fall
09:12yeah well just found this in his trouser pocket i don't know what that's for must be the key to
09:18the
09:18roof door he locked himself up there so
09:31commissioner welcome back it's good to see you both and you sir we really missed you didn't we
09:38inspector is that the victim's bag yes this is the victim's band there's not much in it
09:46a mobile phone a wallet and an empty sweet packet another empty sweet packet and a banana
09:58uneaten look one second sir where are you he hasn't changed then i see not a bit
10:14appreciate it
10:19interesting
10:21notification from his bank 326 this morning 1200 paid to cariba airlines
10:28what time did he jump 4 47. and here in his emails ticket for a flight to the uk due
10:36to
10:36depart this afternoon at 5 pm so if kevin felton came to this building for the sole purpose of
10:43throwing himself off it then why just over an hour beforehand was he forking out for a ticket back home
10:49later this same day you're suggesting the victim didn't take his own night
10:56i am indeed which means someone else did
11:05i was at home asleep when kevin phone was just gone half past three in the morning he sounded drunk
11:12upset
11:14he said he was coming here and that he had enough and he couldn't do this anymore couldn't do what
11:19anymore he'd had a tough time lately his girlfriend split up with him and flew back to the uk he
11:25was
11:25stuck on the island living alone and what would you say is his demeanor was when you got here i
11:31mean
11:32he was always a bit on edge right he was an anxious kid bless him a bit socially awkward you
11:39know but
11:40this felt more intense kept saying he wanted things to be over but needed it to be done in his
11:46own time
11:47well that's when he went up on the roof and i was going to follow him up but deborah arrived
11:52rosalie phoned me worried so i jumped in my car and i got here as quick as i could but
11:59next thing
11:59kevin locked the roof door and that's when deborah said i should phone you commissioner
12:06this roof door key was in kevin's pocket you didn't have a spare you could have used to open
12:12the door well there's never been another copy people go up there to take their breaks so we just
12:17leave it unlocked and where were you all when he fell i followed um commissioner patterson up to
12:25the roof rosalie and i were at the bottom of the stairs mr mckinn i was just pulling up in
12:32my car
12:34why are you asking where we all were when it happened
12:38why does that matter because we are treating kevin felton's death
12:42as suspicious i'm sorry you think we think there is a possibility that kevin felton was pushed to his
12:53death you're having a laugh right no i'm not but how commissioner because when you broke the door
13:01down there was no one else there so how could someone push kevin when he was on his own
13:10we're working on that
13:37i told george that he needed to move offices now he were back but he dragged his feet but why
13:44are
13:44they even working in government house it was mr mccann who moved them all here i heard him say that
13:49he
13:49wanted to get away from the interfering busybodies at the main offices did he know
14:00i'm also going to need your keys to the building as we're locking it down until further notice
14:06thank you we've done door to door but everywhere was closed when it happened so
14:10no witnesses quarter to five sunday morning hardly surprising sergeant fletcher i presume commissioner
14:18patterson we met briefly when i completed my training but i've been working back in jamaica the
14:23last few years where is officer curtis uh she's over on montserrat looking after her auntie
14:29don't think she'll be back for the foreseeable why didn't the chief commissioner contact me about this
14:33i should be across all recruitment okay this is awkward uh commissioner i am so sorry if i was a
14:40surprise for you inspector everything all right uh yeah it's fine you sure it's a text from my brother
14:57uh we're meeting this evening for the first time he got in touch with you after all yeah he did
15:45so how are you feeling me um yeah i'm good it's all good
15:58if it helps i'm sure your brother will be feeling just as nervous as you
16:11solomon mervyn it's good to see you man listen you ain't got ten dollars for the taxi left my wallet
16:19at
16:19hotel oh yeah yeah sure give me two seconds i'll be back
16:28i tell you it's been a mad day for me zipping around from a to b what our business

16:58acro ain't eaten since breakfast oh get a golf so what's with the bird the flamingo
17:07mervyn if i tell you you wouldn't believe me no let's just say i owe a man a favor and
17:13that fever's covered in feathers
17:18merci thank you well um i think we should toast right absolutely man let's do it
17:24um to having a brother to having a brother yeah man right so um tell me your base off i
17:43mean i know
17:43you live in antigua uh but what's life like um what do you do are you married you got kids
17:49some good
17:50questions man i mean where do i begin right oh that sounds like me
18:02it's got to be one of these school in one moment andre walk one for you
18:09are you doing well yeah um but i think so
18:16it's early days isn't it i mean i i want us to to keep talking mervyn i'm sorry but i
18:21gotta shoot
18:22man bit of business up in park rail needs my attention right i mean a sheer man crying shame is
18:30what it is but what can you do appreciate it my compliments to the chef
18:38uh solomon uh how about dinner tomorrow night absolutely ma'am we'll do some proper talking then
18:49wait a minute uh what about your bird right i reckon you best hang on to it for now
19:18so get up and get yourself into the swing
19:22get up in the morning right
19:24morning commissioner
19:31you all good
19:33i have some interesting information on george mccann oh yeah
19:41inspector what is that
19:45it's my uh bacon and friday body i didn't get my sunday full english yesterday so treating myself
19:54what it smells of egg because they put an egg in it i don't want my car smelling of egg
20:04inspector
20:13i had dinner at the yacht club last night and put some feelers out about our suspect
20:19four months ago mr mccann was brought on board a saint marie's business and tourism
20:26snazzy title
20:27so why here
20:30apparently he got bored with his businesses back in the uk and fancied branching out abroad
20:36but word is he accepts backhanders for companies who are keen to get their building developments
20:42really hit any actual evidence of this no but i trust my sources if george mccann is as corrupt as
20:50people say then then it could be something to do with kevin felton's death yeah yeah well we'll
20:57definitely look into that commissioner right then i better get myself back to the station
21:01actually we can go together i want to stay across this case that mother happened under my own nose
21:08oh right then okay sure great
21:17inspector please don't bring that eggy smell back into my car what am i supposed to do with it
21:24put it in your other hand put it out the window all right okay all right i'm holding it out
21:28the
21:29window that's very good
21:34post-mortem confirms kevin felton's injuries were sustained by a fall i spoke to his girlfriend
21:40back in the uk she video called him a couple of days ago said he seemed pretty clung well he
21:46would
21:46do she dumped him actually she reckoned it was to do with something else of course she did
21:53he always like this yes apparently kevin desperately wanted to return home to england
22:01but george mccann wouldn't release him from his contract couldn't negotiate something she said kevin
22:07tried but mr mccann could be quite intimidating said he didn't like disloyalty like he was kind of
22:14punishing kevin have you searched the victim's apartment yet officer rose and i going to do that
22:18straight after this uh what have you got there is that from the crime scene oh yeah so i found
22:24it on the victim just tucked under the front of his hoodie i think it's just a piece of rubbish
22:34sagittarius what starts on miss kevin felton uh 23rd of april so taurus so if he was a taurus
22:42why does he have a sagittarian horoscope on him uh like i said son maybe it's just a piece of
22:49rubbish yeah you said but what was it doing on him in the first place i mean did it just
22:54happen
22:54to be fluttering by while he was falling to his death i don't think so anything else i'm about to
23:00head over and speak with my secretary rosalie she spent the last few months working alongside our
23:05suspects good idea sir is that it one more thing actually leo quinn george mccann's intern he's on
23:14his way into the station why because sergeant fletcher and officer rose discovered that he had a big
23:21argument with our victim just a few hours before he was murdered you wanted to talk with me
23:28so we checked kevin felton's finances and we know he drank at shades bar late saturday night
23:36that's kevin our officers also spoke to the barman and he says he saw kevin having a very
23:43heated conversation with a man matching your description and if i'm not mistaken i believe
23:48that's you there i wouldn't say it got that heated between us
23:57um i mean i can see how that appears but i can promise you it really was all chill between
24:03us
24:05oh um that's you being chill
24:12okay look leo i'm gonna tell you something and i want you to listen carefully before you respond
24:17because right now you're in danger of looking like a bit of an idiot
24:20now the lip reader hasn't had a chance to examine this properly yet but when they do
24:25they'll know exactly what was being said there we were arguing about something kevin knew
24:30had found out about my dad who's your dad george mccann
24:38he didn't want people knowing about it he didn't want people thinking he took me on just because i'm
24:44all right right and what had kevin found out about your dad was it something about him being corrupt
24:52taking payments what kevin was threatening to reveal this is that what he was referring to when
24:59he told rosalie he wants it over kevin said dad had it coming
25:05and that's why i lost it like i did and then you followed him to government house because you're
25:10worried about what he's going to say to the police i mean that's a pretty strong motive right oh
25:17no look i was angry and i was worried i'll admit that but
25:23not so much that i'd go and kill him and i was nowhere near that roof so i couldn't have
25:28done it
25:32why kevin felt sure like this pizza i reckon he was lonely you know had no friends here just stayed
25:40in
25:40all day playing games eating pizza i mean i think about it i could get used to that you know
25:53so sarge i have to know what was it like being an office here in jamaica huh must have been
26:01full on
26:01right like some real bad man huh big island like that well kingston town definitely has a life about
26:10it you know there's always something going down you got to keep your eye out for what made you come
26:17back
26:18oh uh i don't know i it just felt like the right time i guess
26:32there's nothing in the bin he must have recently emptied that can you go check the garbage outside
26:36gotcha that's some super smart jamaican kind of thinking going on huh
26:50okay well thanks for talking with me
26:55that was leo quinn's mother angela back in the uk thought i'd see if she could tell us anything about
27:00leo and his father and her and george have been estranged a long time he wasn't really a big part
27:08of leo's life growing up so why did george end up giving him a job out here it wasn't george's
27:13choice
27:14sounds like leo always wanted to follow in his father's footsteps maybe idolized him a bit
27:21what have you got suspect's phone records and a fair bit of activity the night of the murder first
27:27leo calls george at 309 presumably to let him know that kevin was threatening to expose his corruption
27:32then george gets straight onto the blower to deborah we have a situation
27:37and again 40 minutes later i mean there's definitely something dodgy going on between them but
27:42which one pushed kevin off the roof and how they managed to do it when none of them were anywhere
27:47near him ain't got a scooby hang on looks like the search of kevin felton's apartment has proved fruitful
27:54here we have bag number one and you're probably thinking why i'm gonna call it bag number one
28:01that's because inside of it is bag number two we checked is the same confidential
28:08waste acts as the one that they use in the government house you're probably wondering what's inside bag number
28:22too
28:24you know you're gonna have to clean all this up officer rose yeah i know but it was worth it
28:29okay so why did our victim take this confidential shredded waste to his house and then din it my
28:37thinking is that kevin felton was looking for something a document that had been shredded
28:41but the fact that he then put all of this back into the rubbish bin could suggest that maybe he
28:47found what he was looking for it's possible so then where is it if kevin felton did piece together
28:55some sort of documents what he do with it unless he had it on him when he went to government
29:01house
29:01yesterday but it wasn't about his person and all the suspects were searched before they left government
29:06house so no one took it with them then it could still be there right first thing in the morning
29:13we
29:14need to search that building
29:20let it go with the police
29:23i think they're onto you
29:35katherine meet mattie fletcher she's her new sergeant she just transferred from jamaica
29:42lovely to meet you mattie but i feel we've met before i actually grew up here in saint marie and
29:51i might
29:52have come here a couple of times when i was a teenager and you you might have kicked me out
29:57a
29:58couple of times for not being old enough i remember you and your friends would drive me crazy i am
30:05so
30:06sorry i promise i'm so much better behave now excuse me one moment
30:20hello stranger welcome home
30:27it's so good to see you i'm so happy you're back on saint marie where you belong
30:35it's not been the same without you i've missed it here and your job too
30:40i don't regret having had some time away spending a bit with andrina but i realized there's more i have
30:48to give to this island but maybe not the return that you quite envisaged no
30:57i've had dealings with george mccann as mayor
31:03he's what the english would call a bad egg i don't know all he's been up to yet but i
31:10know enough and
31:11the fact that he's been conducting his nefarious business in one of this island's most respected
31:16buildings it's not right i want this case solved i want him and his team out that building this island
31:28you sell better
31:36solomon welcome come in man a little something for us to band over the old kill devil
31:45shouldn't there have been a label on this do you think it's vintage you never get a label with a
31:49proper old stuff oh well if you say so here you go well this is a sweet little place you've
32:04got i know
32:05right came with a job and how did you end up being a detective was it always what you wanted
32:11to do
32:13well kind of i really liked um solving things when i was a kid moving around foster families and care
32:23homes there'd always be some fight breaking out or things going missing or kids running away
32:29but i'd always be the one to sort things out and put things right you know
32:34well you've done well man you should be proud thank you i am
32:42oh wow
32:51so uh what about you mate um what's your line of work oh you know this and that with a
32:58buying and
32:58selling but i've not really found my thing yet not like you have well finding your thing can take time
33:05can't it listen man i'm sorry things were so hectic last night but i'm glad we're doing this straight up
33:16me too solomon me too call me sol yeah so
33:37morning naomi morning sir how are you doing uh good yeah really good actually things went better
33:49with your brother last night yeah definitely i mean it was really good to have some proper time together
33:56you know and we uh we just talked a lot mostly about dawna i mean our mum
34:06yeah it was just really nice to hear what she was like as a as a mother you know
34:13i'm pleased for you sir
34:18so uh we've got the transcript through from the lip reader oh right yeah and
34:23it's pretty much as leo said apart from one thing mention at one point of a title deed for a
34:29property
34:29that was being developed but kevin turns his back as soon as he says it so that's all i got
34:34i just wondered if that's the document kevin was looking for in the confidential waste
34:41i've asked mattie and said to keep an eye out when searching government house good work
34:47ah morning commissioner rosalie and i have something of use to the investigation
34:55there's a homeless guy who often sleeps in the tomb square outside government house his name is lloyd and
35:03i saw him there when i arrived the night it all happened so he's a possible witness we went to
35:08visit him
35:09he clearly come into some money recently he was wearing new clothes he said two nights ago he'd
35:16been given five hundred dollars to go and sleep somewhere else by a woman matching deborah shellman's
35:23description she paid him off so he wasn't there to witness whatever was about to happen that's
35:31what deborah does she makes problems disappear so as kevin was proving to be a threat to george
35:39does she make that problem disappear as well
35:45this is ridiculous i admit i gave the man a few quid a few quid you gave him five hundred
35:51dollars
35:51miss shelvin only because i felt bad for him i never said he had to move somewhere else what he
35:56says you
35:57did all i said was i hope he can find somewhere more comfortable to sleep with the money i gave
36:01him
36:02he must have misunderstood and your role is well remunerated right oh we checked the company's
36:09finances you seem to get a lot of bonuses it matters to him people are loyal and he rewards them
36:16for it
36:17okay so what is your official job title miss shillman i'm george's operations manager
36:24operations manager and what does that entail exactly anything and everything but not because
36:30i think this is where you're heading pushing a man off a roof you're right that george pays me well
36:35but it's not enough for me to kill for him if there's nothing else
36:47let's see what the search is showing up
36:58george it's me the police are getting warmer much warmer
37:05there's nothing here that we could find us like a title deed or any other documents that have been
37:09shredded but the only thing of interest was this these are the ground plans for a boutique hotel
37:16development they have a swimming pool spa restaurant nice very bougie i'll get it
37:27it's just there are no details on it no architect mentioned no address name of developer and all the
37:35other projects here have those details except for this it just makes me think that there's something
37:42they're trying to find they're trying to hide
37:54so who's at the door earlier just some guy wanted me to move the bike was blocking him in
38:04something wrong sarge maybe
38:25that guy was distracting you so someone could sleep inside and hide while you moved the bike
38:29i knew something wasn't right you know why all right i'll check over here
38:44my new ones
38:46d.i. wilson from sergeant fletcher george mccan just broke into government house
38:52seen exit through the rarefire escape he's in a great convertible license number charlie zulu 217
38:57fox
38:57we're on him mate you can stand down over
39:16Sergeant Fletcher, do you receive? Over
39:20Sergeant Fletcher, you can stand down now, over
39:36What the hell is she doing?
39:43Mr. McCann
39:45i need you to step out of the vehicle please
39:52Sergeant Fletcher you all right
39:56Sergeant Fletcher yeah no yeah i'm okay i'm i'm fine
40:02that really wasn't cool i was just trying not now inspector we'll do this later
40:13i think this is what kevin felton had found it's a title date but look where it's for
40:20government house no architect mentioned no address name of developer you're gonna tear it down or as good as
40:29turn it into a hotel
40:36commissioner there's a development you need to know about as i'm sure you're aware mr mccann i
40:42have a detective and two uniformed officers at your solicitor's office with a search warrant they
40:49have already uncovered further evidence confirming our suspicions all right well
40:56hit me with what you've got and i'll tell you if you're close you and your team were of the
41:02belief that the land government house sits on
41:05wasn't actually owned by the government the only title deed in existence
41:11showed it belonged to a farmer who passed away in the early 1900s
41:16with questionable maneuverings you attempted to make a land grab there's nothing questionable about it
41:25it's all within the boundaries of the law but let's not split hairs as you were a lost title deed
41:31that superseded the one you had
41:35it showed the land was legally acquired by the saint marie government in 1929 which is why
41:44you proceeded to destroy it unfortunately for you kevin felton had suspicions he retrieved the document pieced
41:53it together and worked out what you were up to that is why you murdered him before he could reveal
42:00the truth
42:02you're 99 right i admit i had big plans for that old relic of a building would have been a
42:09gold mine
42:10and yeah maybe i played a bit fast and loose with the planning laws here so go ahead and charge
42:16me with
42:17whatever i'll let my solicitor work his magic because and you should know this he's good at that very good
42:24now let's get on to the one percent you're wrong about kevin felton's death as you know commissioner
42:32paterson me debz leo none of us were on that rooftop when it happened so how in any way could
42:40it be murder
42:46he's right all our suspects have the perfect alibi me we're farther away from solving this murder as we
42:54were at the start of the case
42:58what there's a man with a flamingo splat for the back of his car
43:04yeah that's um my brother my half brother
43:11i'll give you a little knife
43:16brother my man how's things it was a final night we had last night yeah yeah it really was we
43:24should
43:24do it again sometime soon let's keep the dialogue going yeah no question so so what are you doing
43:30there oh i uh i wanted to talk to you about something a kind of fever yep okay i was
43:37wondering
43:38you couldn't loan me a little money just temporary like um yeah sure what is it 50 100 two thousand
43:51two thousand dollars
43:55so that's not a little that's hey the thing is there's a couple of business opportunities right
44:02for investment coming my way and i'll have it back to you in no time
44:06i don't think i've got that kind of money to lend i know we're brothers but hey funny no worries
44:13man
44:13it's cool always worth to ask right
44:21is that what all this is about me and you you just needed some money what no car's not i
44:29want to do
44:29this for real i just thought
44:33i'm sorry
44:38i uh better shoot yeah
44:46nearly forgot is it all right if i nip by your place and pick up that flamingo you've been looking
44:52after isn't that it no man that's the other one they're a matching pair that's why i have to bring
44:59this one here i'm reaniting them oh yeah i see um yeah yeah help yourself
45:14how's it going
45:17honestly
45:20i don't know i mean right now it feels like we're both coming at this
45:26brother thing from completely different directions well that doesn't mean it isn't worth sticking at him
45:40the flamingo flamingo the flamingo well that's it isn't it that's how
45:47that's how the victim could have been pushed off the rooftop without anyone being there
45:51how could someone push kevin off the roof when he was on his own rosalie phoned me worried so i
45:57jumped in my car and i got here as quick as i could but kevin
45:59come in lock the roof door is she still up there yes
46:06like i said sir it's probably just a piece of rubbish
46:10and that explains the horoscope the horoscope horoscope and the flamingo the horoscope and
46:15the flamingo that explains everything well almost i need to check a couple of things first
46:20the gps tracker on the car that picked you up and i need to take a look outside government house
46:34so what's he looking for
46:40i have no idea
46:47but whatever it is i think he found it
46:57this case
46:59i'll be honest it's been tough a victim forced to his death from a roof our three suspects all have
47:08solid alibis because you could all be accounted for at the time it happened the only explanation that
47:15makes sense is that kevin felton jumped of his own accord that's what we've been saying from the start
47:21it was suicide except it wasn't it was murder and we now know that it was you leo quinn who
47:29did it
47:31i was with everyone else when it happened like you said well yeah except that's not when it happened
47:37or indeed where it happened because at the point where kevin felton was heard falling onto that car
47:46it was already dead and to make it look like that's when and indeed how it happened you and your
47:54father
47:55and miss shellman constructed a very clever plan that nearly had us all fooled you see it was something
48:02i saw just this afternoon someone was transporting something on the back of their car and it got me
48:08to thinking how you could have made it look like kevin fell on that car when he didn't
48:14then i remembered this it's a horoscope it's all from a newspaper found tucked inside kevin's hoodie
48:20and that's when i started to wonder if kevin didn't fall where we thought he did
48:29that's when he was going to reveal the truth about mr mccann making an illegal land grab on that building
48:45and so you phoned your father and you both headed off the government house where kevin
48:53fooled rosalie no i didn't i didn't follow kevin oh but you did leo you see i checked the gps
48:59tracking
49:00on your car and it shows that you arrived at government house at 3 44 a.m and parked around
49:08the
49:08back for 26 minutes it was a big deal for kevin what he was going to do that night we
49:15know he felt
49:16intimidated by you mr mccann so calling the police revealing your corruption i think that weighed heavy
49:24on him but i need to do it in my own time right it's maybe why he went to the
49:29bar first and had a
49:30couple of drinks that evening to steal his nerves because he discovered a crime was being committed by
49:37you his boss and he wanted the truth to come out and doing so would also mean he could finally
49:45leave
49:46his lonely life here and fly back home to england feeling anxious he went up onto the roof to get
49:53some
49:53air and when rosalie went downstairs to see michelle man mr quinn you also headed up to the roof
50:02we'll never know what happened up there that night we assume you you can't do this to us pleaded with
50:09him but he refused he will destroy us to listen to you everything my father's built up his reputation
50:16we're going to prison for fraud oh and in the heat of the moment you ran at kevin with some
50:22force
50:23and you pushed him
50:29miss mccann i believe you arrived at government house around the same time that happened we understand
50:37you never had much involvement in your son's life so why not just let the police deal with his actions
50:44why risk getting involved yourself well we think after seeing what leo had done
50:52realizing the loyalty he'd shown in trying to protect you you decided to help him phone records
50:58show that you made your second call to me shellman that night at 4 4 in the morning to a
51:05bring her in
51:07on your plan and b to tell her to keep rosalie distracted downstairs while leo exited the roof so
51:15as instructed leo recovered the title date from kevin's back and came off the roof locking the door with the
51:21only key and taking it with him you then told leo to go and collect the commissioner from the airport
51:27as it was supposed to at 4 30 a.m while you remained in the alley with kevin's body
51:32it was four in the morning so unlikely anyone would appear but in case someone did you knew you could
51:37deal with it i mean we know you're no stranger to chucking money at a problem to make it go
51:42away
51:44and deborah you tasked rosalie with getting hold of the commissioner once he landed while you went
51:50and dealt with kevin pretending he was still alive behind the door kevin kevin when i arrived at
51:59government house with mr queen rosalie took me upstairs believing kevin was on the roof we had no reason to
52:08think you didn't follow us inside but you didn't you turned got in your car and drove round to the
52:16alley at the back of the building as the gps also proves once there you knew you had to make
52:23some kind
52:24of dent in the roof to make it look as though kevin had fallen in it i imagine you would
52:32just jump up and
52:33down on it and you and your father george mccann moved kevin's body onto the car roof remembering to
52:40put the roof dorky in his pocket unfortunately for you there were bins out back overflowing and this
52:51unassuming piece of rubbish must have been lying on the ground and as you move kevin's body got stuck
52:57under his hoodie you see it was always bugging me why this was inside kevin's clothing but if he fell
53:05at the rear of the building and not at the front then this little horoscope starts to make sense
53:12he got sold out from a piece of paper mr quinn you then roll around to the front of the
53:19building
53:20and parked the vehicle exactly where you had previously before heading inside mr mccann you also
53:28drove around to the front of the building and proceeded to create a loud bang
53:38hearing that noise from outside was leo's cue to set off his car along while you got back into your
53:45car
53:46giving the impression he just arrived it was certainly a convincing show you put on and you very
53:52nearly got away with it you tried to take from this island somewhere that stands for all that is good
54:00and right but much like myself that building isn't going anywhere george mccann stand up stand up
54:18i'm arresting you for perverting the course of justice fraud and theft
54:23and for assisting in the cover-up of a murder
54:33never shall come and you are also under arrest
54:46never shall come and you are under arrest
54:49thank you
54:57you want her to see me commissioner
55:00come
55:09you've done some good work sergeant fletcher during this case
55:14and you seem to have settled in well with your colleagues
55:18but after hearing what happened this afternoon your reckless behavior
55:24i am concerned
55:27i am sorry sir i just wanted to get us a result and
55:34i knew it was a stupid thing to do
55:39how do i know it won't happen again
55:42because i won't let it
55:45i just lost myself for a moment
55:50it isn't the first time though is it that you have lost yourself
55:58your employment file from jamaica and i've spoken to the chief commissioner
56:05so
56:08i know what happened there before you left
56:13that's all in the past now sir
56:16it's behind me
56:19i promise you there will be no more mistakes
56:26okay
56:28whoa
56:40i'm sorry about your brother sir but he made things awkward for you
56:44maybe the commissioner was right
56:47the road was always going to be bumpy so perhaps it's worth sticking with
56:53i mean his family right
56:58so whatever curveballs are thrown
57:00i want it to work anyway serious talk over it is officially beer o'clock come on
57:13i want to talk to you
57:14sir where are all your clothes
57:16and the record player and all the records

58:07Couple's therapy, not my cup of tea

58:12Turn left, wait, no, sorry
58:14For God's sake, Alistair
58:16Nah
58:16Each of them had opportunity to kill the victim during the dinner
58:20Except no one leaves a table for more than two to three minutes
58:24This island petitioned to get you your job back
58:27And you walked away like you didn't care
58:30Solomon, you get me my things now or I arrest you
