Continuous rain since Thursday (Feb 19) has caused flooding in three districts in Sabah, with one temporary relief centre opened in Kota Marudu on Friday (Feb 20).

The affected districts are Kota Marudu, Paitan and Pitas.

00:24Sabah State Disaster Management Secretariat said that 336 flood victims from 111 families
00:32have been evacuated to five temporary relief centres in Kota Marudu and Pitas.
00:39Rescue operations are continuing in all affected areas,
00:43while monitoring is being carried out in high-risk zones.
00:46Relevant agencies remain on standby to coordinate further evacuations and assistance if conditions worsen.
00:53Residents have been advised to move to safer areas if water levels continue to rise.
