00:00Floodwaters in Sabah have forced hundreds more residents to seek shelter in emergency relief centers.

00:06The floods on Friday has particularly impacted the districts of Pitas and Paitan,

00:11with 862 people from 282 families now displaced.

00:17According to the Sabah Civil Defense Force, Pitas recorded the highest number of evacuees,

00:22with seven relief centers in the district are currently housing 784 people from 259 families.

00:31In neighboring Paitan, three relief centers are providing shelter to 61 people from 17 families.

00:37The flooding has affected 24 communities across the region,

00:4119 areas in Pitas, three villages in Paitan, and two villages in Kota Marudu.
