Cornucopian rebounded from a disappointing fifth-place finish in the GI Churchill Downs Stakes with a super speedy win in the GIII Aristides Stakes. The Bob Baffert trainee earned a career-high 103 Beyer Speed Figure, making him this week's Fastest Horse of the Week. The Fastest Horse of the Week is sponsored by WinStar Farm, home of stallions like Audible, the sire of recent GII Shawnee Stakes victress Splendora.

00:00The fastest horse of the week brought to you by the fast sires at Windstar Farm, home of stallions like
00:06Audible, who is very well represented this weekend by his daughter, Splendora, last year's Breeders' Cup Philly and Mare Sprint
00:14winner.
00:14Remember, Splendora was somewhat flat at Churchill Downs in the Derby City Distaff on the Kentucky Derby undercard, but she
00:22rebounded in a big way on Saturday to win the grade two Shawnee Stakes again at Churchill Downs, defeating former
00:28champion two-year-old Philly Immersive for her fourth graded win.
00:32Audible is currently the leading fourth crop stallion by black-tie horses with 14 already this year.
00:41The proven son of Intimischief stands at Windstar for $7,500.
00:47So Splendora is now a part of Bob Baffert's new Kentucky satellite stable, and so is our fastest horse of
00:54the week.
00:55The aforementioned Kornucopian, who won the Aristides about an hour after Splendora, took the Shawnee Stakes.
01:03Like Splendora, Kornucopian had been disappointing on Derby Day, finishing a well-beaten fifth in the Churchill Downs Stakes, but
01:10he came back in the Aristides to run 108.41 under Flavian Pratt for a career-high buyer speed figure
01:18of 103.
01:20Kornucopian is the son of Intimischief, owned by the Avengers.
01:23He's now a leading early contender for the Breeders' Cup Sprint, and Kornucopian is our fastest horse of the week.
