00:30Including most recently the Green Booster Programme, which is designed to help businesses and individuals transition to a more sustainable
00:37and low-carbon economy.
00:39Before we get into the company's strategy itself, can you give me a bit more of the context about you
00:44yourself?
00:45What are your motivations for contributing and driving the company towards those objectives?
00:50I will say, as a leader, we have to be a role model.
00:53And as a global company for Workforce Solutions, of course, we know that we have a DNA which is very
00:59socially recognized.
01:00Now we would like to also impact the environmental and some of the things.
01:05And can you talk a bit more about the Green Booster Initiative?
01:09How does it support businesses and individuals in transitioning towards a more sustainable economy?
01:15It really puts the responsibility on the employees.
01:19Yes, you know that as we are a global solution workforce company, of course, our job is to work with
01:25humans.
01:26So meeting humans every day.
01:28So 100,000 people per year, everywhere in the world.
01:32So that means that it is very important that due to the urgent need to change our way of using
01:38the planet resources and work against the climate change,
01:43we believe and we are sure that we have to work on the societal impact we can have by the
01:50people, by the humans.
01:51Because the GIEC report says that humans is the cause and the consequences.
01:57So due to that, we know that maybe meeting them every day, we have the chance to provide them a
02:03support and we create a test.
02:05We create a test, a kind of diagnostic to give you the opportunity to see your maturity about the climate
02:12change.
02:12And based on that, we can evaluate on what is your development plan to support you in your day to
02:21day, to support you in your work and to support you within your company when you do something for your
02:26company.
02:27And we know that in our recent study, that 65% of the people would like to contribute to the
02:35climate change and improve the way we do the things for tomorrow and for sustainable world.
02:41So the focus is very much on the human and human resources.
02:44Yes, it's always the human. This is our part of the business.
02:47So how do you think on a broader level, human resources can have an impact, have a sustainable impact?
02:52Yes, because this is a question of the behaviors. We would like to change the behaviors.
02:56But first of that, to do, to change something, we have to assess your behaviors first.
03:01Are you an outfit? Are you an ambassador? Are you green? Are you not green?
03:06So this is the question you have first and after we can help you and support you and support your
03:10entity, your organization, your company.
03:12Because with all this test, we can have your picture, of course, individually, just for you, anonymous pictures.
03:20But also we can give all these pictures to your leader and give you and give to the leaders the
03:26opportunity to change something by the humans, by the individuals, by the talents.
03:30And businesses themselves, they're facing great pressure, it has to be said, to reduce their carbon footprint, improve their positive
03:36impact on society.
03:38How does the green booster of Manpower Group integrate sustainability and environmental responsibility into the business strategies that can be
03:45shared with those companies?
03:46Okay. For example, in my company, we address about 150,000 people per year.
03:53So that means that we meet these people by the recruitment, by the assessment, by the outplacement, by the training,
04:00by many things on the HR side.
04:02So each time we receive them for one hour, two hours, three hours, we, of course, try to help them
04:08and support them on how they are, how they are, what are their reflex, what are their behaviors on day
04:15to day, and how they can address differently their job, their work in the supply chain they do.
04:22Because what is important for us is that the green product can be changed, but not by us, but the
04:28green behaviors can be changed by us.
04:30So this is the way we would like to address this societal impact.
04:34Okay. One time for one final question. You've been working with a lot of companies to develop these initiatives.
04:39What have been the conclusions from your assessments of your communication with those other companies?
04:45So VivaTech is the launch of Green Booster. This is the day for us. This is the first day we
04:50launch that.
04:51We just started to test many, many, many people here during the VivaTech session to be sure that we can
04:58have a kind of barometer at the end.
04:59So I hope that I will come back just after VivaTech to say where we are.
05:04And on the social network, of course, we will give you the answer of the first evaluation of all these
05:09people that address this topic.
05:10Okay. Sebastian van Dijk of Manpower Group, thank you so much for all that explanation about a really interesting initiative.
05:21and the Green Booster program at your company. Back over to you, Upton, in the studio.
