00:05Caterine, je suis so jealous.
00:06What does it look like?
00:10I know, it's quite cool, isn't it,
00:12to be here with a concept car
00:14with so many new innovations.
00:16I'll just step out of the way
00:17so you can have a look at the car itself
00:20here on stand, a J10.
00:23It's the Software Republic stand.
00:25And I'm here with two people
00:27who are involved in creating this concept car,
00:29Fatma Ouslati and François Beringer.
00:34Thank you very much for being with us.
00:35Fatma, if I could just start with you,
00:37if you can just tell us about Software Republic.
00:39It's sort of an association that brings together
00:41several companies to create innovative products.
00:44Exactly.
00:45Software Republic is an open innovation ecosystem
00:48created two years ago by six tech champions,
00:52including Atos, Dassault Systèmes,
00:55Renault Group, Orange, Thales,
00:58and ST Microelectronics.
00:59And our goal is to create together
01:01new products, new services,
01:04using our technical and technological assets
01:07to the mobility of the future.
01:10Fantastic.
01:10And if we look at the license plate of this car,
01:13H-first vision.
01:14Fatma told me just before,
01:16H-first standing for human first.
01:18So Fatma, if we take a bit of a closer look at this car,
01:23I mean, it looks extremely futuristic to me,
01:24but tell me some of the innovations that are involved in this car.
01:28So this human first vision actually is a car that knows you and takes care of you.
01:34It knows you because today the car is able to authenticate your identity,
01:40so you don't use any smartphone or physical key to access.
01:45It's very natural and very secure.
01:47So the car recognizes my face?
01:49Your face and also the way you walk, actually.
01:52So we have exterior cameras that actually helps the car,
01:58recognizes the way you walk through this camera here,
02:01and we have another camera there.
02:04And once the car knows you,
02:07actually we are able to welcome you
02:10with a personalized welcome message here.
02:14And then you can securely enter the car and experiment it.
02:19Okay, so that's about getting inside the car,
02:21but what about once you're in the car?
02:23What happens then?
02:24Well, what is innovative about H-first vision
02:27is that we integrated some sensors in the steering wheel,
02:31so we can monitor in real time the key health indicators,
02:36such as heart rate, heart rate variation.
02:38And we also have a partnership with a French startup called Stern Tech,
02:44which does mood analysis,
02:45so we can understand if you're happy, if you're stressed, or if you're angry.
02:50And we can also adjust the light inside the car
02:54to help you relax and play music.
02:56So if I'm driving around the Paris city streets,
02:59I'm going to be in a difficult mood,
03:01and it's going to play me some lovely relaxing music, is that right?
03:03Yeah, correct.
03:04And we have like a companion, an avatar on the screen,
03:08who can also suggest some breathing exercises to help you relax.
03:12Fantastic.
03:14Francois, let's bring you in now.
03:16You're with Dassault Systèmes.
03:18Tell us about your involvement in these projects.
03:21So Dassault Systèmes is involved since the beginning of this consortium.
03:30So we are involved to help the collaboration between all those actors.
03:34We have a software for collaboration and for collaborative innovation.
03:38And one key element of this collaborative innovation is to create virtual twins
03:44of the possible innovation of everybody.
03:48Virtual twins, which we are demonstrating here,
03:50virtual twins which are connecting all the contribution,
03:53all the software, all the systems
03:55that all our partners are contributing to the mobility experience.
04:01Fantastic.
04:02Well, let's come up with our fantastic camerawoman, Alice,
04:04to have a closer look at this virtual twin experience.
04:07If you'd like to present that for us, Henri.
04:10We can show the virtual twin experience here.
04:12So this is a car in a city.
04:15It's not only a car in a city,
04:16tu peux le faire, moi.
04:18which is also connected to systems of recognition from Thales.
04:24The V2X platform,
04:26the communication between vehicle and infrastructure provided by Orange.
04:30All those different systems are connected to this experience.
04:34And we create this innovative experience
04:36and we test many options, many novelties,
04:39quickly with this experience here,
04:42with the solution that you have seen.
04:44And this is connected to the car.
04:47So you have, for example,
04:48here the possibility to act on the car.
04:50The car is opening the door here,
04:53as well as in the virtual.
04:54So we can experience either in the physical or in the virtual
04:58the new ideas or the new use cases that we want to do.
05:02For example, we are testing a passenger welcome
05:05for a carpooling experience.
05:08When you are a carpooler
05:09and you wait for your driver
05:11and it's cold,
05:13you want to go in the car
05:14and that's possible,
05:15would be possible
05:16if we add this capacity.
05:19It's so high-tech,
05:20it's so innovative.
05:21This is obviously, as we said,
05:23a concept car.
05:24Henri, how many of these innovations
05:26do you think we might see
05:28in our cars in the years to come?
05:31I will not be able to count any,
05:33but I think the dynamics of Software Republic
05:36with all the startups and partners
05:38makes, we have 20 innovations
05:40that have been embedded in this car.
05:42those are already considered for integration with future cars.
05:48And we are also looking at innovation outside the car
05:51for new mobility services,
05:53for new ways to benefit from data,
05:56from connected cars.
05:57So that brings a lot of benefits
06:00for, you know, the everyday life
06:02and your mobility.
06:03And so, in summary,
06:05it's human first,
06:06so it's about a better human experience,
06:08it's about a more eco-friendly experience as well.
06:10Yeah, so, one key element of future mobility
06:14is to be sustainable.
06:15And eco-friendly comes from,
06:18with a better multimodal connections,
06:20for example,
06:21and that can be encouraged
06:22with good data
06:23and good interface with the human
06:26to propose to the driver,
06:28for example,
06:29to stop in a parking
06:31where you have a bike
06:32that is available
06:33and you can jump on the bike
06:34to finish your trip.
06:35That's one of the use cases
06:37that we are looking at
06:38to be sure we propose
06:39a seamless approach
06:40for a multimodal mobility.
06:44Fantastic, thank you so much.
06:45Henri Berenger,
06:46who I called François earlier,
06:47I'm so sorry about that,
06:49of Dassault Systèmes,
06:50and also Fatima Oestlati
06:52of Software Republic
06:53with this wonderful concept car up here
06:55on the Software Republic stand.
06:59Long live the Republic.
