00:28you're the CEO of Luke Cycle
00:30of course we're going to talk about
00:33those amazing sports that are cycling
00:38tell me a little bit more on what you are up to right now
00:43very happy to be here with you today
00:46we like to say that we represent the art of cycling
00:50Luke and Karim are brands that have a deep and long history
00:54in professional cycling
00:56but now we sell products obviously to a lot of amateurs
01:00and I'm here today because we talk about the technology
01:04and we talk about technology for athletes and for para-athletes
01:08at Luke, the art of cycling is a combination of different things
01:13is our French heritage
01:15and so that spirit of innovation
01:17being disruptive and being creative
01:19is the excellence that we look in terms of the quality
01:23and the performance of our products
01:25and the craftsmanship
01:27we manufacture our products
01:29we are experts on carbon
01:31and we bring that experience for all kind of athletes
01:34and of course Paris 2024 is definitely about Olympics
01:38and Paralympics
01:40what does it mean to develop performance as product and equipment
01:43for para-athletes
01:45sure
01:46performance is the same
01:48whether you're a para-athlete or a normal athlete
01:51and we actually develop products
01:55performance is a holistic approach
01:57right
01:57it's about the equipment
01:59it's about the nutrition
02:01it's about mental performance
02:04we are experts on certain products
02:06in particular carbon wheels
02:08that's why we're here today
02:09and so what we learned
02:11what we developed before
02:12and with athletes
02:13we carry that on to also para-athletes
02:16so wheelchairs for racing
02:18long short distances
02:20for tennis on wheelchairs
02:22and various disciplines
02:24where carbon performing wheels are needed
02:26then we are experts on it
02:28and obviously we have athletes
02:31that are going to go to Paris
02:34and just like world championships
02:36for para-athletes
02:39and I do trust your expertise
02:40but either one major challenge
02:43when it comes to one particular
02:44or specific para-sport
02:46compared to another one
02:47no performance is the same
02:49everybody has the same needs
02:51sometimes bodies function different ways
02:54but performance is always the same
02:55and so the way we bring that technology
02:58to para-sports is exactly the same
03:01what we do however
03:03what we learn and what we develop
03:05for para-athletes
03:06we're able to carry it also for everyday use
03:09so for example
03:10the wheels that are used today
03:13for handbikes or for wheelchairs
03:16for short races
03:18those technologies are used for everyday wheels
03:22and so athletes can also continue to use our wheels
03:27for everyday use
03:28but not just athletes
03:29everyday people can use our wheels on wheelchairs
03:33how far are you going to be involved when it comes to Paris 24?
03:37we are official sponsors of the French Federation
03:39we also sponsor of the American Federation
03:43and so we work very actively with those federations
03:46to develop products
03:47and obviously the Paralympics are an important event
03:52catalyst of attention for media
03:56but also for fans of sports
03:59I like to say that when we talk about the Paralympics
04:03it's not just the fact that they're for para-athletes
04:05it's a parallel event to the main event
04:08that's why the name Paralympics comes
04:11and that's our approach
04:12whether it's a para-athlete or not
04:14the products are the same
04:16and they're still great athletes
04:17and we are very proud to work for them
04:19and Paris 24 has promised to be as inclusive
04:22as possible
04:23when it comes to every single athlete
04:25because as you said
04:26it definitely performance
04:27has no barriers and no frontiers
04:30when it comes to the credible athletes
04:33that are going to lead the way
04:35in a year and a half from now
04:36are you looking forward to Los Angeles 2028?
