03:50rafal fighter jet for the mmrca deal medium uh multi-role combat aircraft uh india has also uh you know
03:56decided to procure rafal fighter jets for its naval platform as well as and now uh india has also
04:03given the india's ministry of defense has recently given acceptance of necessity for the
04:07procurement of 114 rafal fighter jets uh besides that uh you know uh this fighter jet is uh fighter
04:13jet deal is not only going to help the indian air force but it is also going to uh to
04:18strengthen
04:19the cause of making india because uh dasso aviation the french company which is actually the manufacturer
04:24of uh you know rafal fighter jet is also looking at making india as a key base for the for
04:30the
04:30maintenance repair and overalling facility for the servicing of their aircraft because france is also
04:36looking at uh at uh at procuring up uh you know or getting a uh a deal in uh in
04:42indonesia as well
04:43and this is going to be a very big development because you know uh as many people have called
04:49india eu fta as the mother of all deal now many people are calling this uh you know india france
04:54fighter jet deal as the contract of century uh so so definitely you can you can see the volume of

05:0035 billion dollars is going to be worth of uh the the rafal fighter jet however i can i can

05:05you that you know this meeting is not going to to witness the signing of the the actual contract or
05:10signing of the deal but definitely both the leaders are going to express their uh you know
05:15their commitment uh to further the uh to give a push to this uh rafal fighter jet deal uh and

05:22is going to be a game changer for indian air force because indian air force is long awaiting
05:26for the replenishment of its squadron strength it's uh in fact looking for the uh for the supply
05:31of the fighter jet deals and also uh in terms of the defense procurement we are also looking at the
05:36the the missiles the hammer missiles uh the the you know furthering the range of the scalp and the
05:41meteor missile for the for the new fleet of rafal fighter jets and on top of that the safran engine
05:48deal is also going to be a game changer and a and a and a key deal which will be
05:52on table of of these
05:53delegation level talks between india and france because india is trying to to uh to uh you know
05:58partner with france in terms of you know building its own uh you know fighter jet engine and safran the
06:05french company is likely uh to be partnering with india in the development of this uh you know fighter

06:56of february and this will be under discussions by both the countries apart from the rafale for the
07:03indian air force there are discussions already open for more rafales the additional 31 rafales for the
07:08indian navy we know that 26 rafales for the indian navy the rafale marines deals has has already
07:13signed last year okay and we are awaiting those uh rafales for the indian navy not only rafales neha
07:19but the hammer missiles the helicopters the engines for the advanced jets everything is now being
07:27discussed with the france and this makes france as one of the most important and the top defense
07:33partners so this uh visit and meeting with prime minister naren modi and president emmanuel macron is
07:38not only about the strategy the economy the ai summit but the most important factor happens to
07:44be the defense deals that are the upcoming deals one of the very big deals and certainly uh two
07:50parallel meetings happening out here one with prime minister and president in mumbai where uh a lot
07:55of mous are also going to be exchanged between the delegations of both the countries but yes another
08:00meeting that's happening in bangalore where defense minister rajanat singh is meeting his french
08:05counterpart yes and it also comes uh in connection with the mros and uh the missile systems for the
08:12rafales too so many things happening certainly a big meeting happening today between india and a big
08:17meeting in mumbai and in bangalore as well like shivani is pointing out when i apart from defense trade is
08:23also something that both the countries are looking at very closely what is expected on that front
08:30as you know that india and european union have signed the uh the india eu fda bilaterally india
08:35and france would uh also be looking at expanding the trade ties uh if you see uh the french investment
08:41in india in in india that is at around you know around 15 billion dollar worth of in french investment
08:46in france is also looking at expanding you know those kind of uh you know investment in india and if
08:51you
08:51see uh not only uh you know the defense collaboration between india and france but see the spectrum uh the
08:57the the uh the amount of you know civil aviation partnership between india and france you know
09:01falcon business jet are uh you know likely to be produced the major part of their their fuselage
09:06will be produced in india in pune besides that you know the the research and development facility of
09:12daso aviation will be in pune uh and in fact uh the h-125 helicopter the civilian helicopter will be
09:20produced the final assembly line will be inaugurated by these two leaders prime minister modi and
09:25prior in president macron virtually in in kola of karnataka uh so so that is also going to be a
09:31big
09:32thing and this is these things these developments are going to give a book a big boost to india's
09:37making india program because you know what about a joint uh press conference or statement of sorts
09:42you know a statement of sorts expected at any point in time for now yeah after the conclusion of
09:48these delegation level talks uh we are expecting uh you know both leaders to face the cameras and uh
09:52with they will be giving out a media statement and after the media statement uh you know there's
09:57going to be uh the signing of the agreements as well and uh also we are expecting a joint statement
10:02after the summit level meeting of uh prime minister modi and president emmanuel macron
10:07well absolutely of course we're talking about trade we're talking about artificial intelligence but defense
10:12is what also continues to be headlined the reason why because it's the much awaited discussion on uh
10:17procuring profiles and that is something that everyone is looking at very closely much needed
10:23boost for the squadron like when i was pointing out shivani look at uh you know talk to us a

10:28about how this is being viewed in terms of capacity building uh in the country for our air force uh
10:34you know also on how this is going to boost the spot in that sense
10:42see sneha uh the squadron strength right now of the indian air force is 29 after the retirements
10:47of the last two squadrons of mig in september last year so indian air force is desperately waiting for
10:53new fighter jets it wants to enhance its fighter uh squadron strength to 42 and with the mrfa now open
11:00uh you know uh the multi-role fighter aircraft program has been uh delayed for quite some time
11:06but now when it is open and there's a lot of hope about procuring these rafals very soon after the
11:11deal discussions will happen and the finalization of the deal will take place though there are certain
11:15conditions that the indian government has put that this has to be a government to government deal
11:19where around 40 to 50 percent of the indigenous content has to be there and there has to be full
11:25authorization of the integration of weapon systems in these rafals that will be mostly manufactured
11:29in india so certainly when these 114 rafal deals will be locked and these rafals will be procured
11:36uh it will be a huge capability enhancement for the indian air force which has been waiting and we know
11:41that the tejas program has been delayed now tejas which is being manufactured by the hl is delayed uh
11:48we are still waiting for those first fighter jets the tejas mark one is but in the meantime to fill
11:53that
11:53gap the 114 mrfa deal that happens to be with france for the rafals will make that strength
12:01enhanced because you know some uh squadrons will be brought in in the flyaway condition so in this is
12:07this is certainly a big step by the indian government and we've seen after operation sindoor how the speed
12:12of these procurements have aggressively enhanced sneha and that's what we've seen that the defense
12:17procurement board uh gave the nod on uh in the month of january and very soon on 12th of february
12:23the dac approved this rafal deal so now the discussions will be open and it's been expected
12:28that this deal will also be a very pacey and a quick deal so that the indian air force gets
12:34its rafals
12:35very soon we already have two squadrons much more are awaited so certainly a positive sign and with
12:40the visit of president emmanuel macron it's been expected that it will be a very uh quick deal that
12:46will come into place so that our indian air force gets more rafals absolutely be with us i'm coming

12:57intelligence is concerned with the president uh expected to be a part of the ai summit as well

13:50france and in fact partners in terms of all the aspects and all the the uh you know the various
13:55areas of the spectrum but coming to the the cutting and new age technology uh as you know that you

14:01last year france uh hosted the india the the ai impact summit and at that point of time uh president
14:07emmanuel macron who hosted that that summit in fact you know uh took along prime minister narendra
14:13modi along uh you know with him on the dais and in fact given a special uh you know gesture

14:18prime minister narendra modi uh by by ensuring his presence there and now it is uh it is time for
14:23prime minister narendra modi to reciprocate and in fact french president emmanuel macron will be uh
14:28there uh at bharat mandapam for the india ai impact summit in fact that is the the biggest ever
14:33uh ai impact summit or ai brainstorming session which is being hosted by any country and in fact
14:38this is happening for the first time uh in any country of global south so cutting edge technology
14:43the new age technology how india and france can collaborate in in artificial intelligence to make
14:50artificial intelligence more accountable in fact the process which was uh what's conceived in in
14:56paris will be taken forward in the the delhi declaration of this uh uh ai in impact summit which
15:02is being hosted by india and besides that how we how india and france can collaborate to to uh to
15:08make tangible gains and in fact deliver the key gains uh in terms of the projects uh in terms of

15:14startup incubation in terms of the the finance facilitation and in in terms of you know the the
15:20new age solution uh be the farming sector be the education sector be the agriculture sector because
15:25these are the key areas uh not only a concern area of you know key concern for india but many
