Husband-and-wife design duo Anna Shaheen and Anthony Cucculelli have masterfully channeled the enigmatic allure of Art Deco mysticism, blended seamlessly with the vibrant spirit of '60s psychedelia to create their captivating Fall 2026 collection, aptly named Electric Cosmos. This bold and visionary line evokes a cosmic energy, marrying vintage glamour with a contemporary edge that feels both timeless and electrifying. The unveiling took place at New York's legendary Bowery Ballroom, where the atmosphere buzzed with excitement. Among the front-row attendees were actresses Bianca Lawson, Lilia Buckingham, and Larsen Thompson, who watched as Nashville-based rockers Calico Mantra set the perfect sonic backdrop with a riveting live performance. Each season, Shaheen and Cucculelli push the boundaries of craftsmanship by experimenting with innovative techniques that elevate their signature aesthetic. A standout feature this season is their exquisite use of chiffon appliqué delicately layered over tulle, with meticulous beading outlining each piece. This intricate detailing strikes a perfect balance--imparting a polished finish while maintaining a raw, rocker-inspired attitude. The Electric Cosmos line pays homage to retro rocker chic through a rich tapestry of flowing capes and ethereal sheer dresses that capture the spirit of rebellion and glamour. These designs celebrate a fearless femininity, where transparency and texture combine to create silhouettes that move effortlessly between elegance and edge.

00:11So we're really excited. We have Calico Mantra. They're a band from Nashville, Tennessee, and they really encompass this kind
00:16of 70s feeling, and we were designing the collection, we're listening to it over and over and over again, and
00:22it always helps kind of influence the design process.
00:24We're in a real kind of art deco mysticism mood, but also mixed with a kind of 60s psychedelia feeling,
00:30and so we kind of like mushed it together to come up with something that we felt encompassed our mood
00:35for the season.
00:36Every season we're trying to like come up with new techniques. One of our favorite is like the chiffon applique
00:40on top of the tulle, and then it's like kind of beaded around the edges, and all the colors are
00:45hand dyed, so we're really excited about that.
00:53I'm a big fan. This is my third time at their show. Whenever they invite me to anything, I'm like
00:58immediately, I'm canceling all plans, and this is them tonight, so I feel very lucky.
01:04I'm sort of obsessed with this like renaissance era that's sort of coming back into fashion right now. I love
01:09to embody that ethereal theme.
01:15The clothes are incredible and so elaborate. Sometimes if you're wearing really beautiful clothing, I think there has to be
01:21a kind of yin and yang contrast.
01:23We're doing just pure beauty. It's not really a concept. It's just making girls look as gorgeous as possible in
01:30that slightly old school supermodel way.
01:33You know, a sharp cheekbone, you know, a bronze cheek, a beige lip. But we're putting a little line of
01:39fine glitter in the lash line to make it look a bit wet, like she's just come out of the
01:42shower.
01:43I kind of almost wanted them to have that slightly kind of festival feel.
01:47We're here at the Bowery Ballroom, so today the look was kind of an art deco vibe. A lot of
01:53short bobs. You'll see these structured haircuts.
01:56So we just kind of enhanced them, made them a little bit more natural, rocker, kind of downtown. And then
02:00we also put little geodes in the hair to kind of give a little pop with the braids.
02:04I guess there's like a little nod to like the 20s vibe with the short bobs. So just natural enhance.
02:14It's always good to like have someone to throw ideas against. And the best things that come out of our
02:20design partnership are things that we tend to like kind of not argue about, but we kind of have to
02:25convince one another that we're into.
02:27You kind of almost have to like talk them over to your side. And in doing that, sometimes we come
02:31up with even like a third idea, which is even more exciting than where we started.
02:35And I think that's the benefit of having like a partnership, having two people to kind of like play ideas
02:39off of.
