Wendy Williams, Crystal Waters, Rosanna Scotto, Ramona Singer, and more attended New York designer Dennis Basso's Spring 2026 presentation at NYFW. This season, Basso paid tribute to strong American women with tailored looks infused with feminine touches--what he calls 'new world glamour.' The collection featured light, flowing fabrics like silk, pleated chiffon, taffeta, and organza, adorned with handmade silk petals, scarves, evening boleros, and "summer fur" in broadtail, sable, and mink. Soft hues like mint, buttercup, and ice blue dominated the palette, alongside Basso's signature black and white. Silhouettes ranged from one-shoulder gowns to dinner dresses, wide-leg trousers, and daytime ensembles. He also showcased pieces from his Dennis by Dennis Basso line for QVC, promoting fashion for all.

00:00Hi, I'm Dennis Vasso, and you're watching Life Minute TV.
00:10I'm thinking fabulous. I'm loving it. I'm hoping to work with him.
00:14I'm doing an orchestrated event, so he said he would dress me, so I'm excited.
00:20I love the new collection. It's so typically Dennis. Glamorous, timeless, effortless.
00:27Everything a woman wants to wear when she goes out. Dennis, I know for a very long time,
00:33I love that he's just larger than life, and his personality comes out in his beautiful clothing.
00:41He loves women, and we love him. I've known Dennis, my gosh, for like 30 years,
00:47and I've seen him evolve. You know, he started off with just doing fur. I actually started off doing
00:53fake fur, which he built a huge business on, and then he did real fur, and now he does beautiful
00:58fashion. I think he has great style, and he's a personality bigger than life. I'm already
01:03understanding that this is his best collection so far, and from what I can see, I can see why,
01:07so I'm very excited for him. I love him. I love this. I want it really badly.
01:14I really wanted this collection to reflect the strong American women. So you can see there are
01:25some very tailored looks with a lot of feminine overtones, and I think that's really the way of
01:31the future. Our women are running companies. They're strong. They're mothers. They're wives.
01:35They're taking control of their life and their fashion choices, and that's why this collection,
01:41I believe, is a bit varied, whether it's a structured pantsuit to a flooring gown,
01:46and I try to embody that in this collection. The fabrics we're using Duchess Satin in some
01:52pantsuits was a strong and structured, tailored, but the feminine part is we did some hand beading
01:58down a tuxedo stripe down the pant and around the cuffs. A little bit tailored, but yet quite feminine.
02:05We've used in the garden a bit as our inspiration and taken organza and created individual petals
02:12to create boleros or trim on a dress. So this one particular look right here that we're standing by
02:19is a very modern look. It's a large organza ball skirt with a sequined top, and this is mixing the
02:25high and the low. This is really something so extraordinary. These are hand-done organza petals
02:32that have been sewn on individually on an organza bolero.
02:40Because this is spring summer, I want you to go with soft colors. When I look at this, I feel that
02:47this is truly a breath of spring in terms of this block printed chiffon, all hand pleated,
02:55all original artwork, and it just moves and flows. We did the pale blues inside, which you just saw,
03:03and these greens and beiges and a little bit of peach. It gives that ethereal summery light feeling.
03:10Fashion should be fun, and you should really try to experiment a little bit as opposed to just being
03:16tried and true.
