Tuna melts are back in a big way! In this video, Nicole shows you how to make this tuna melt boat recipe. This recipe sets the stage with a French loaf to hold your tuna mixture and is baked with cheese until it’s deliciously cheesy and bubbly. Top with your sandwich fixings of choice and enjoy!

00:00My mom used to do tuna melts for dinner, but never like this.
00:02Start with drained canned tuna,
00:04finely chopped red onion, and pickles.
00:06Season it up with a little lemon pepper, salt, and mayonnaise.
00:08Mix it up, then add in a little bit of lemon juice,
00:11give it one more mix, and spread it onto your French loaf.
00:13I like to scoop out a little of the bread before I fill it up.
00:15Top it with cheese, and then pop it in the oven
00:18under the broiler, and let the tuna melt.
00:20I'm doing a revised Mike's way,
00:22starting with shredded lettuce,
00:23add in a little tomato and some banana peppers,
00:25sprinkle with a little oregano,
00:27red wine vinegar, salt, and olive oil.
00:30It's a perfect bite in sandwich form, if I've ever seen one.
00:34Mm-hmm, I think we just made tuna melts popular again.
00:37That's an A+.
