00:00in the short term. So while LA is looking great, you got some sunshine out there. We're getting
00:04ready for inches of rain, an inch or two in the city, even more than that up into the hills
00:09just
00:09on the north side. But for now, we got rain falling across much of Arizona. High elevation
00:13snow near Flagstaff, certain sections of I-17 seeing a little bit of that. We got a little bit
00:18of rain-snow mix there, various elevations there into Utah and Colorado seeing a little bit of
00:23snow. It's been dry in these areas, so we're going to welcome the moisture in. And temperatures,
00:26Cedar City, you're down to 43. You've been just mild enough to avoid accumulating snow
00:31there, but we're still in the low 70s there into Lake Havasu City on the backside of the
00:36storm. This big ribbon of moisture is going to be coming into the northwest. We're getting
00:40some rain in Seattle now, Portland into the day tomorrow. But as this surge of moisture
00:45slams into California beginning on Sunday and Sunday evening, it's going to be a big change.
00:51So if you have any outdoor plans in the southwest, Saturday is your day. Sunday, the rain's going
00:56to be rolling on in to San Francisco, gradually pushing south into Bakersfield and Los Angeles
01:02by Sunday evening. And Sunday night, we'll begin to see some rain. We'll give you a little
01:06more context here as one storm exits to the east from Pueblo to the east. We'll see a
01:11little bit of leftover shower action in the morning. 5 p.m. Saturday, rain still off to
01:16the north. It begins to roll into San Francisco into early Sunday. Here's Sunday, 5 p.m., and the
01:21rain is beginning to move into areas just northwest of at least Ventura, California. We'll begin to see
01:26some showers. And then into early Monday and through midday Monday, heavy rain into Southern
01:31California as well. It's going to really pile up out there in the mountains, too. The snow will be
01:35heavy several feet coming to this area. So get ready for it. It's going to be a high-impact event.
01:40We need the snow. It's going to be beneficial. But at the same time, if you're traveling and you have
01:45to
01:45get through the passes, it is not going to be good. Now, at the low elevations, the Central Valley can
01:50expect
01:501 to 2 inches of rain. San Francisco, 2 to 4 inches of rain. Santa Maria, 2 to 4. L
01:56.A. proper
01:56looking at 1 to 2 inches of rain. And San Diego will be on a similar page. But the snow
02:01is piling up
02:02here this week, or next week, I should say, beginning on Sunday night, ending to Monday, Tuesday, and
02:07Wednesday. Travel restrictions will be in order. Big-time snowfall. Even I-5, west of Mount Shasta,
02:136 to 12 inches of snow there. But Lassen Park, 2 to 4 feet, looking at about 2 and a
02:17half to 4 feet
02:18into Donner Pass, 3 to 5 feet for Bear Valley. Big-time snow.
