00:00Lift it or leave it.
00:01The ACC will have a renaissance, a resurgence, if you will,
00:06now that Miami appears to be, quote, back.
00:10I'm going to leave it.
00:12I think Miami is somewhat back.
00:14I don't think the ACC as a whole is going to be back.
00:16I feel like there's just too much work to be done,
00:19and they're not going to be able to do it.
00:22So we got Miami.
00:23Who else have we got in there?
00:24I think Virginia Tech with James Franklin.
00:26He took about two-thirds of Penn State's recruiting class, I think, with him.
00:31So I'm excited to kind of see what he does.
00:33And you know this.
00:34I mean, I mean, James Franklin, you guys did a good job beating him quite a bit.
00:38He had a poor record against Ohio State.
00:40But he can get some talent now.
00:42Like, he can recruit.
00:43I mean, my man can sell ice to Eskimos.
00:45To quote my man out of Tommy Boy, David Spade,
00:49you can sell a ketchup popsicle to a woman in white gloves.
00:52So he gets the talent in there.
00:54He'll be in a good spot.
00:55But Clemson, you said, Davo, they've hit the portal a little harder.
00:58Can they get back to their winning ways?
01:00Virginia was on the uptick this year.
01:02Can they maintain that?
01:04Florida State, can they get it back together?
01:07Louisville looked like they could be competitive at times.
01:09Georgia Tech.
01:10Like, there's a handful of teams.
01:11I just don't know how many of those teams outside of Miami
01:16could compete on a national stage.
01:17Like, in a big stage with some of those.
01:19It's weird because they came out so strong.
01:21Like, Florida State looked really good.
01:22Georgia Tech.
01:23They beat Bama, which was crazy.
01:24Everybody expected them to win 10 games then.
01:27And then at the very end of it, they have Duke ended up winning the ACC championship.
01:30Like, it just.
01:31That's 75.
01:32Yeah, exactly.
01:33I hope they have a resurgence because my earliest memories of college football
01:38is the ACC being the king with your Florida States and your Clemsons
01:44and all those schools like being the top dogs.
01:46So I think college football in general is better when the ACC is good.
01:49So I'm still going to leave it, but I do hope that I'm wrong.
01:53Yeah, I'm with you.
01:54I hope that you're wrong.
01:55I hope that I'm going to be wrong, too, because I'm going to leave it as well.
01:57I think there's a handful of them.
02:00A resurgence.
02:00Like, is that putting them on par with the Big Ten?
02:03Like, you take their best team.
02:05Miami.
02:06They lost Indiana.
02:08They did beat Ohio State.
02:09But I mean, I'm not going to say that, like, on a year-to-year-out basis,
02:12they're definitively better.
02:14Do you think they're definitively better than Oregon?
02:17Oh, that'd actually be a really good matchup.
02:19That's what I'm saying.
02:20I was hoping it would because that's where Mario Cristobal left to go to Miami.
02:24So that would have been a tremendous matchup as you look at it.
02:28But, you know, you've got that second-tier Penn State-Michigan-USC.
02:33I mean, I think when those teams get their footing,
02:36I think that they're capable of beating Miami.
02:38So you have, like, six teams that you're looking at.
02:40Like, okay, Miami's around that.
02:42But after Miami, Steele, who else in the ACC with those kind of six-ish top teams
02:49in the Big Ten, who would you kind of put on that level?
02:53I mean, especially with next year, you've got Clemson losing Kate Klubnick.
02:57You've got Georgia Tech losing Haynes King.
02:59Like, these are teams that are losing, like, all of their, like, premier players.
03:03So right now I just don't have a good idea of who's going to come out on top
03:06and be kind of that ying to the Miami's yang over in the ACC.
03:10But I guess I might go with Louisville just because they got our boy over there.
03:14Then North Dakota, South Dakota, wherever he's from, star.
03:18And got Lincoln.
03:21Yeah.
03:24Lincoln's down at Louisville.
03:25I mean, he could be pretty good.
03:26Like, it's a lot about portal.
03:28You know, Miami pulled in Mensa from Duke.
03:31And so we'll see if he's going to be able to get that done for him.
03:33But now Duke needs to find a quarterback with that.
03:36Pat, Pat's coming strong, threw another one in here.
03:39Jeremiah Smith should be the definitive Heisman Trophy favorite in 2026.
03:45Lift it or leave it?
03:47Leave it.
03:49He's the best player in college football.
03:51But for a receiver to win it over a quarterback, that's just so hard to do.
03:55He's the best player.
03:55He's the best player.
03:55He's the best player.
