00:00This Chargers team, you know, a lot of people are saying this is good fortune,
00:05that, you know, you wanted to avoid the Bills and things of that nature.
00:09Are you in that camp?
00:10Do you think that the Chargers, this is the best-case scenario short of the bye?
00:15Yes, I do, for several reasons, not the least of which you get to see
00:19the Jaguars and the Bills beat up on each other,
00:22and whoever comes out of that bloodbath moves forward,
00:24and they're a little bit lesser because of their first-round matchup
00:26or their wildcard matchup.
00:27I think the Chargers are a good team.
00:30They can be beaten.
00:31They do have some soft spots.
00:33Their pass protection is not great.
00:35Justin Herbert was sacked 54 times this year.
00:38That's the most of any quarterback that's still in the playoffs.
00:42And the other thing is, too, I think New England is going to be able to run up
00:46and down the field, particularly when it comes to the ground game.
00:48The Chargers have given up 90-plus yards in their last three games.
00:51It's not an overwhelming number, but that's certainly a spot
00:54where the Patriots could exploit them.
00:56Yeah, because the running game for the Patriots,
00:59they've, like, over the course of the end of the season,
01:02they became a very effective running team,
01:04and kind of the dynamics of the offense changed a little bit.
01:07Yeah, it did.
01:08And, look, you take the opponents into account,
01:11particularly the last two games,
01:13but I have a hard time finding fault with anything that they've done
01:18on the ground really over the last six weeks.
01:20I think they've stayed over 100 yards.
01:22They've averaged more than four yards to carry.
01:24Stevenson has come back.
01:25He's really bounced back after that rough start.
01:27Henderson is a true home run threat.
01:29So you have two backs who are very complementary
01:31when you look at their overall skill set.
01:33So, yeah, the New England ground game, I think,
01:36is a force to be reckoned with going into this postseason.
01:38But as you guys know, you're going to need to run the ball
01:40in January if you want to win football games.
01:42I'm going to need to run the ball when you're going to run the ball.
