00:00We're just talking about it, riding incredibly well all season long, a lot of momentum.
00:05Love to see what he could do with a great start right here, and he needs to keep that confidence,
00:09JT.
00:10He sure does, and speaking of confidence, speaking of momentum, that Hayden Deacon guy has taken control of this championship,
00:17and he really has an opportunity here to slam the door shut on this championship.
00:22He goes out here and does it again.
00:24I don't think that even mentally these other guys think that they're still in this thing.
00:29And JT, to stay in this thing, we've talked about it, we'll talk about it again.
00:33It might just come down to this start.
00:35Levi Kitchen, the number 47, has not had a whole shot yet this year.
00:40Traditionally, in the past, a good starter.
00:42As we told you earlier on, he's been working on those starts, and I saw him hang back.
00:46He's the last one out the gate there for that sight lap.
00:48He knows how important it's going to be here for this main event.
00:51Thanks, Bill.
00:52And then the teammate of Kitchen is Cameron McAdoo.
00:56They were second and third last week.
00:58The team owner, team manager, Mitch Payton, said yesterday, I don't want congratulations on the second and third.
01:03We're here to win.
01:03He also said he wants his riders to be aggressive.
01:07And also, he feels that good things happen to good people.
01:09He likes nice guys on his team.
01:11You folks can think of whatever you want out of those words.
01:14But that's McAdoo, and that's Kitchen.
01:16Well, how about this guy, Max Anstey?
01:19I mean, incredible season opener in Anaheim.
01:22Pretty good ride.
01:23Had some help going down at San Diego.
01:26And then really hasn't shown us the same potential that he did those first two races.
01:32So what's going to happen here in the main event?
01:34Let's keep an eye on this guy right here.
01:37Now, 61 needs to bounce back.
01:39And it started with great starts at the beginning of the year.
01:41They've fallen off.
01:42He's lined up pretty far to the inside of the 61.
01:45Fly racing, 30-second card is up.
01:49Again, just two races before a long break for 250 West.
01:53So if anyone is going to try to become a Thorne and Deegan side,
01:56they're going to have to start doing it.
01:58All right, now, Boland so strong earlier in the evening with a heat race win.
02:03What can he do?
02:05Here we go.
02:07The nerves are there.
02:09They're locked in.
02:10It's time for the main event.
02:12250 from Glendale.
02:20Oh, McAdoo, I thought, had it on the inside.
02:22Look at him, he's up there.
02:23And it's going to be Deegan.
02:25Oh, Deegan doubles right out of that corner.
02:28Look at the gap that he gets because of doing that.
02:31Moseman right there in second.
02:321-2 for the Alahas.
02:34There's McAdoo had a good jump, but he got to the breaks early.
02:37Is that DeFrancisco?
02:39It is.
02:40Hey, I said keep your eye on extremely fast early today.
02:45Having a lot of confidence.
02:46He's had an incredible season so far.
02:49Bad gate pick for DeFrancisco with a heat race crash.
02:53But, boy, has he come back to make it a good start.
02:56McAdoo fighting him.
02:58Yeah, if he can stay in front of McAdoo, it's going to be pretty easy right here.
03:03But watch McAdoo's whoop entry speed like JT was telling you about in the Yamaha track map.
03:09Watch.
03:10Oh, Ryder has good entry speed as well.
03:14That's Anstey and Kitchen buried back there.
03:17So, another bad start for the 61 Kitchen.
03:20I believe it's just a few positions further up and now a big pileup back there.
03:25Oh, these guys got to keep it clean.
03:28Nice and straight through the lane right here.
03:30Heartbreak for Max Anstey and Levi Kitchen.
03:34It just seemed like they cannot stop the leak, Will.
03:39Guys, I just want to give a bit of background in that heat race and what we saw in the
03:43highlights there.
03:43Happened to Max Anstey when he rode up on the burn there.
03:46It wasn't anything to do with the bike.
03:48He told me that he just got us getting elbows from out of the riders there and just basically ran
03:52out of space.
03:52He said, look, I could have put on the brakes, but I probably would have ended up on the ground.
03:55Or I could have just stayed straight and not hit the brakes and that's exactly what he had to do.
04:00All right.
04:00Good to know that.
04:01Yeah, it wasn't the brake problem.
04:03He just didn't have room there.
04:04Thanks, Will.
04:05But the problem now is that he is in 13th and Kitchen is in 10th.
04:10There's some loop entry speed from McAdoo in the top box.
04:13He does not want to let DeFrancisco get away.
04:20He's right there.
04:21I go back to, what was it, Anaheim 2.
04:23These guys are battling it out to the end and McAdoo slipped up right there.
04:29There's about a lap and a half to go.
04:31And Ryder DeFrancisco moved into that podium position.
04:36Yeah, McAdoo is so bummed to let that podium get away to DeFrancisco.
04:41So he is determined to stop it this time.
04:45Man, Ryder D has made some massive improvements for that rock star Husky team
04:51and working with guys like the team manager, Nathan Ramsey, an old teammate of mine.
04:57And just the momentum that he has and how well that Ryder D has been performing is great to see
05:05because this is a kid that was extremely talented, still is talented, but had a great amateur career.
05:11And great to see him living up to his expectations, JT.
05:15It is. He's come a long way, Ricky.
05:16And watching Cameron McAdoo here, you know, he's taken some strides of his own
05:20because if you look back at the beginning of this championship, he really got a late start.
05:24He wasn't as prepared as he wanted to be coming in.
05:26And you can see it in his riding.
05:28He was just a touch off on sprint speed.
05:30He didn't really have the pace to go with the guy.
05:33So he's almost having to manufacture these podium finishes, like put himself in position and hang in there.
05:39Watching him this weekend, it looks like he's taking a step.
05:41He doesn't look like he's struggling to find the pace.
05:44So that sprint speed is starting to come back for the 142.
05:47Yeah, I agree with you 100%, JT.
05:50Just sitting here watching Cameron.
05:51It doesn't look like he's on that edge, that ragged edge.
05:55And he just looks like he's at a comfortable pace.
05:58And when you're in that particular zone and you're not on that edge,
06:02I feel like your percentage of something going wrong definitely goes down.
06:06So that's great for Cameron.
06:08And remember, he took a lot of time off last year.
06:10So maybe this was a good approach for him to slowly get into it, control that hype.
06:16There is the 47, his teammate.
06:18But McAdoo said that wasn't his goal.
06:19He wanted to come out firing.
06:20He felt they had improved the bike in the offseason.
06:23But in the races, he didn't feel as comfortable.
06:25And he actually asked to go back to a year ago's setup.
06:30And he said that's what's really allowed him to get comfortable again.
06:33And you're seeing it right now.
06:34He is not letting the 34 out of sight.
06:36And it'll be interesting.
06:38Can they push each other up to Mosavik?
06:41Well, they can for sure.
06:44But the biggest thing I feel like for Rider D is to not let that pressure get to him.
06:48You know, when you go back where I was talking about A1 or A2, how Rider D was all over
06:55Cameron.
06:56And Cameron just held his line until the last two laps.
06:58This is kind of what Rider D needs to do right here.
07:00Just let the race play out.
07:04As for McAdoo has got that whoop entry speed, JT talked about, got the move and the pass.
07:16He was determined.
07:17He was determined.
07:19And I thought that's the move he was going to put on Rider D a couple laps ago.
07:24But Rider D got a great drive through the whoops there, Will.
07:30Cameron spoke to me earlier, Ricky, about his confidence and looking back on his amateur career when he was younger
07:37and how long it's taken him, he said, to get to the point whereby he believes he can push through
07:42so then he can apply patience and know that he's going to get there.
07:46And that was just fascinating to watch him do that against a rider like Rider D Francisco, who grew up
07:51winning to his entire amateur career.
07:54So the belief that Cameron McAdoo now has after all these years is showing through.
08:00Thanks, Will.
08:01And yeah, absolutely.
08:02Let's see if we can go for a second.
08:04At bottom box, you're watching Kitchen battling Yoder.
08:07That is for sixth.
08:09Clubham X-Riders doing well again.
08:11Boland fifth, Yoder sixth.
08:13But here comes Kitchen.
08:16Man, it's tough for Kitchen.
08:18I mean, he's looking really good right now.
08:21He's rolling, setting some good lap times.
08:23He was the fastest guy on the track two laps ago.
08:27Thing is, you use up so much energy early on in these races when you're trying to fight your way
08:34back coming from behind.
08:37This year has just been something I wasn't expecting.
08:41Man, he's had a tough go at it.
08:44And now that's the story as well for Anstey.
08:46Won the opener, but it has been rough since.
08:48He, on that 61, is just trying to go top ten right now.
08:54He's tenth.
08:55Oh, who is that down?
08:56Parker Ross, eighth.
08:58So that's Long and Anstey are both going to pick up a spot.
09:02Now Kitchen has caught Boland for fifth.
09:07Not easy to do on this racetrack with all these 90-degree corners.
09:11Same little pass right here that he did on Yoder.
09:17JT.
09:19Yeah, Kitchen is making another move there.
09:20But you just, you look back on this championship for Kitchen, and it's almost what could have been.
09:25Because so much of it, you know, you hear in tennis this concept of unforced errors and how punitive they
09:31can be.
09:31That's what it feels like for Levi Kitchen.
09:34Those first-term crashes were all his doing.
09:36Yeah.
09:36Putting himself in bad spots.
09:38Falling over, really, when it was no one else's fault but his own.
09:41The riding is not the issue.
09:43He is so incredibly capable.
09:45But if you're going to start outside the top ten each and every week, a guy like Hayden Deegan is
09:50going to be out of sight before you even get started.
09:53And that's definitely the story here into the second half of this main event.
09:57He's got a lot of work to do.
09:58Halfway through, remind you, you stock up on Monster Energy drinks at Quick Trip.
10:04Kitchen's top five, but that doesn't really tell the story.
10:07Outside the top ten early.
10:10Yeah, he's rolling, and I agree with everything that JT was saying.
10:17As for Deegan, no trouble with the starts for him or the finishes.
10:21He's just kind of cruising.
10:23I'm going to say I said it last week.
10:24I mean, these are these type of wins that you really want to enjoy because not always is it going
10:31to be this easy,
10:32especially when you get into that 450 class.
10:35But he definitely looks good, and just where he's been able to improve.
10:40We talked about riding that edge.
10:42This guy doesn't even look like he's close to that.
10:45Putting in some good, smooth laps and really probably learning so much.
10:51Even though it seems like it's easy for him, you just learn, you know, how the bike can work in
10:56certain circumstances.
10:57And we talked about it, too.
10:58Thinking about where you're at compared to lap times on that 450.
11:02You surely have to think that's where his mind is at.
11:05At times.
11:07That's interesting to hear that that's probably where the focus is now.
11:11Earlier we had Deegan on the screen.
11:12Screen 7 drone cam, that new movie coming soon.
11:16But it's kind of fitting for Deegan.
11:18Revs that bike so hard, you can hear it.
11:21Yeah.
11:21You can tell when Deegan's coming by.
11:23It just sounds different than everybody else on the track.
11:26JT, what do you see him?
11:27I'm seeing the same thing you are, Ouija.
11:29And, you know, Hayden and I kind of go back and forth.
11:31A little panter on his podium interviews.
11:33And, you know, in offseason, I've kind of wanted to see things from Hayden to show me that he was
11:39ready to go race the likes of Eli Tomac and Jet Lawrence when he returns.
11:44But I have to give Hayden a lot of credit.
11:46He has answered the bell on all of the things I wanted to see.
11:49I wanted to see him better in the loops.
11:50Check mark.
11:51I wanted to see consistency in the start.
11:53Here he is with another hole shot.
11:54So, I'm going to give credit where credit is due.
11:57All of the things that I wanted to see from Hayden in 2026, he's here.
12:01He has arrived.
12:02And I think he's ready to take a step.
12:04Yeah.
12:04Like it or not, you cannot deny how he really steps up and makes it happen 98% of the
12:13time.
12:14How about this charge of pitching?
12:16This guy is rolling again.
12:18Looking at timing and scoring.
12:21Fastest guy on the track last lap.
12:2358.2.
12:25And going by DeFrancisco, I don't think we expected to see this.
12:30Ryder D3rd was under pressure from McAdoo, but it's now drifted back.
12:33Kitchen getting him as well.
12:35So, that'll push Ryder back to fifth.
12:37Yeah, really strong ride.
12:39And he can take this momentum and build from that.
12:43Because really, I believe at this stage and how the season has gone, it should just be all about wins.
12:50I mean, the championship is going to be a long shot at this stage.
12:55So, go out there and win and show us who you really are.
13:01Shout out to the second place rider, Michael Moseman.
13:03Look, dealing with Deegan is tough for anyone, but it has still been a solid season for him.
13:08And if it ends like this, Moseman will reclaim second in championship points.
13:14Veteran out of Northern California, who we talked about many times.
13:19He's had a retirement party, thought his career was over.
13:22Boy, has he ever returned and better than ever.
13:26And more building blocks for the 23, Will.
13:30And we've talked about this before, Jason, but how different is Michael Moseman from so many other riders in the
13:36paddock?
13:38He's just fascinating.
13:39I got to have a really good chat with him a week or so ago.
13:42And he was telling me that most of his friend group, which he said are not moto guys, they're not
13:47riders.
13:48He said they're kind of like friends from church, family friends with him and his wife.
13:51He said, don't really know what he does.
13:53And then the cat got let out of the bag because his wife was at a watch party.
13:58They were at their hometown there and they were watching Michael race.
14:01And then all his friends were like, oh, we had no idea that you did this at this level.
14:07And now the pass gets made there.
14:09So just fascinating.
14:11It's just very different.
14:11His wife is a lawyer.
14:12It's just not what you normally see.
14:14He's a very interesting character.
14:15Thanks, Will.
14:16Oh, Kitchen hooked up.
14:18And McEner didn't get that double.
14:20And I cannot believe the 47 has come all the way back for a podium spot.
14:24Yeah, the door opened up and the chef walked right on in there.
14:28Uses up all the, pretty much all the track.
14:31Leaves just one thin line at the top of the berm there for McAdoo to get around.
14:36Showing his teammate a little grace.
14:38And this has been a heck of a comeback.
14:41And again, we talk about surprises and what surprises you from Sir Riders.
14:45This isn't a surprise because we do know how talented that the 47 is.
14:50And he is more than capable of rides like this.
14:54And it's great.
14:54It's really great to see him come from behind like this.
14:58He might be more than capable of getting to second.
15:00Oh, yeah.
15:01And the mind starts to wander to next week.
15:04Kitchen's home race in Seattle.
15:06And again, that will be the last race before 250 East begins in Arlington outside of Dallas.
15:13Can he deliver for the home fans next week with riding like this?
15:17Maybe.
15:18And man, he's catching up quickly.
15:20Yeah, again, fastest man on the track.
15:22The last lap.
15:25JT.
15:26Just watching Kitchen, trying to figure out where he's making up so much time.
15:29Rick, are you noticing how quick he is in the mid part of the turn?
15:32Like he's riding so fast through the mid part as he goes to make the pass here.
15:37And just like that, he's in the second.
15:40He's in the zone right now.
15:42He is so focused.
15:43Look at him scrubbing that finish line.
15:45But, yeah, he's throwing a lot of center speed through the corners.
15:49JT.
15:49Another area, too.
15:50He's been rock solid as the whoops.
15:51Looks like he's going a little bit more to the right-hand side compared to the guys.
15:58Thirteenth, the lap one to second for Kitchen.
16:01But, oh, by the way, this guy is on a cruise ride.
16:04Hayden Began out front with a little over a minute and a lot to go.
16:09You can see the ruts right there going through that rhythm lane.
16:16Love the options.
16:19Track changed quite a bit from earlier.
16:21It has, but, again, I'll go back to what I said earlier, is I feel like this track has held
16:26moisture a bit more than what it has in the past.
16:28Uh-oh, look, we've got the challenge for the final podium spot.
16:34And McAdoo and Moseman could be a 2-3 for the pro circuit team again.
16:39And then we're getting into the lappers as well, so they could possibly play a role.
16:44Your Cameron McAdoo keep charging right here.
16:49Watch McAdoo.
16:50If he's going to be able to make a move by the 23, keep your eye on the whoops section.
16:54He's going to have to be closer than he is right now, so maybe it'll be next lap.
16:58Stay right here.
17:00Let's see what happens.
17:01Oh, he's right to that right side.
17:03Here it comes.
17:06Got it.
17:09You saw that coming?
17:11Yeah, I saw it coming just because he's had really good whoop entry speed all day long.
17:18And there it goes.
17:19Now, he sets himself up on the right.
17:21Is that just to get to the inside, or is he actually, is that the line he wants?
17:25Yeah, I think it's the line he wants.
17:26I mean, as crazy as it sounds, there's, like, certain areas in the whoops
17:31where they're a little bit smoother than others, maybe not as steep, especially on the entry.
17:37But Cameron's always had really good speed through the whoops as well.
17:40So a great pass late in the race like this.
17:44Last lap.
17:45And here's what that unlocks our seat.
17:47If he can hold on for this podium, Mozeeman's going to fight him for it.
17:50McAdoo will have 26 career podiums.
17:53He'd be in the tie for fourth all time in 250 Supercross career podiums.
17:58That is incredible.
18:00Yeah.
18:00Especially when you're, you know, like JT was talking about, you know, how his amateur career,
18:05I mean, he really wasn't a guy.
18:06Not at all.
18:07We talked about it out there.
18:08Yeah.
18:09And, man, he just plugged away and got some good breaks.
18:14Shout out to old Tony Alessi who picked him up on the Moto Concepts team late in his amateur career.
18:18They saw something in him, and he has been improving ever since.
18:22Really took a step, as we said last week, with Kawasaki.
18:26But, again, the Kawasaki's are going to be 2 and 3 because no one can stop Hayden Deegan in 250
18:33Supercross.
18:35Another dominant ride.
18:37Another win.
18:38Four in a row for Hayden Deegan.
18:43Great ride for Kitchen, 13th to 2nd.
18:47And there's McAdoo with that 26th career podium.
18:56And, uh, Moseman and Di Francisco got to be bummed on that one.
19:00They were in position for it, but the Kawi boys really were bearing down late.
19:05They were.
19:05But the Deegan show rolls off.
19:08Yeah, the Kawi boys, the Monster Energy Pro Tour Kawasaki boys, they looked good towards the end of that race.
