00:00So last night, UConn beats Butler 80-70 after losing to St. John's on Friday.
00:07And look, that Big East is going to be tight, Mike, I think right to the finish here.
00:11It seems like a two-team race between UConn and St. John's, both teams playing really good basketball.
00:17And it seems like we just have a lot of appetizer right now before we get to the big tournament.
00:22Yeah, they will play again at the end of this month.
00:26And this one will be at UConn.
00:30And so an opportunity for the Huskies to get a little bit of revenge and to assure themselves,
00:37or not assure, but put themselves in a stronger position still for a number one seat in the NCAA tournament.
00:44So that will be an enormous game.
00:46And along the way to that game, what UConn needs to do is they need to get their bench more
00:53involved.
00:53Last night, 38 minutes.
00:55You see all the time people talking about bench points.
00:58I don't care about bench points, Craig.
01:00I don't care about them at all.
01:01If I want to get the most bench points, I have Michael Jordan on the bench.
01:05I start him on the bench, and I win every time.
01:07Who cares?
01:07You don't get double points for that.
01:09But if your guys aren't playing off the bench, they got 38 minutes last night off their bench.
01:15Eric Reib, I think he played nine minutes.
01:17They need more out of their backups.
01:19When all your starters are going to Butler, a team that's not played well, and you can't go to the
01:26bench at all, you're going to have problems in March.
01:29You don't need to have 10 guys, but you need to have seven and a half that you can play.
01:34Your sixth and seventh guys have to be able to go.
01:38They have to be able to go 25, 30 minutes if required.
01:41And if you don't have that, you're going to struggle in March.
