00:00We're talking about knowledge of the future in movies, YouTube channel, Easter Egg Psychic.
00:05In this video, I'll share what appears to be a future Easter egg to the Capcom fighting arcade game Street
00:14Fighter 2, released in 1991.
00:18And you can see this in the 1989 beat-em-up arcade game Crime Fighters, developed and published by Konami.
00:28And additionally, I'll show how you can take a look at the various movie adaptations of these games and draw
00:37further relationships.
00:39Alright, so to see this, fast forward to stage 7.
00:43And you'll notice that this appears to be down at a port, a harbor.
00:49There's some docks here near the ocean.
00:51There's either a sunset or sunrise.
00:54And additionally, a boat or ship can be seen here.
00:59So one enemy you'll see in this stage wears a red gi or martial arts uniform.
01:06Very similar to what's shown in Ken's stage in the Street Fighter 2 arcade game.
01:14Ken and Ryu, of course, are major characters in this series.
01:18Ken wears the red outfit.
01:21Ryu wears white.
01:22In Ken's stage, the fight takes place on what looks like a pier or a jetty or a causeway.
01:29So back to Crime Fighters.
01:31So at the end of the level, you fight the boss.
01:34I believe this character is called the Army Sergeant.
01:37Not exactly, but maybe similar to Guile in Street Fighter.
01:43Yeah, listen to the background music for this stage of Crime Fighters.
01:48I think you'll note a similarity to Konami's Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles arcade game, also released in 1989.
01:57There's another connection here, and it's through musician Mitsuhiko Izumi, who is credited as a composer on both the soundtracks
02:07for Crime Fighters and Ninja Turtles.
02:10Now, Casey Jones is known for wearing a white hockey mask.
02:15This is somewhat similar to that worn by movie slasher Jason Voorhees in the Friday the 13th movies.
02:24The Crime Fighters arcade cabinet can actually be seen in the 1990 TMNT film in Shredder's Lair at around 31
02:35minutes.
02:36In Crime Fighters, the boss enemy of the level 2 train stage also wears a hockey-style mask.
02:45The boss enemy of the stage 4 rooftop level appears modeled on A Nightmare on Elm Street's Freddy Krueger, complete
02:54with metal claws.
02:56After Corey Feldman, who plays Donatello in TMNT, previously fought Jason Voorhees in the 1984 film Friday the 13th, The
03:04Final Chapter.
03:05Actor Ski Orich appears in the Ninja Turtles movie in 1990, and he later acted in A Nightmare on Elm
03:14Street creator Wes Craven's slasher franchise Scream, starting with the 96th film.
03:20My YouTube channel is Easter Egg Psychic. There I go back and look at movies and television from the past.
03:26I analyze these for possible references to future media.
03:29These may appear in the form of anecdotes, idioms, anagrams, hidden in the subtext of the work in question.
03:35I also use an unconventional method where I look at the likenesses of the actors.
03:42What I found is you can take the likenesses, match these up to some of the anecdotal items,
03:48and show past, present, and future information about actors and other personalities
03:54that you may resemble the personalities in the movie or television episode that you're watching.
04:01My email contact is easteregguy, that's G-U-Y, at yahoo.com.
04:08Thanks for watching.
