00:00Have you ever noticed how hard we work trying to make everybody like us?
00:08How much energy we spend trying to fit into spaces God never asked us to enter?
00:16Trying to impress people who weren't even paying attention.
00:21Trying to soften ourselves so that no one gets uncomfortable.
00:25And then one day, the Holy Spirit drops a line so simple, so honest, it stops you right where you stand.
00:36Stop trying to be liked by everybody.
00:40You don't even like everybody.
00:43Let that settle for a second.
00:47Really let it breathe.
00:49Because as soon as you hear it, something inside you exhales, doesn't it?
00:57Something inside you says, finally, someone said it out loud.
01:03You know, we've been raised to believe that being a Christian means being agreeable, being pleasant, being likable to every living soul.
01:14But look at scripture with clear eyes.
01:17God never once called someone and said, I need you to make sure everyone approves of you.
01:25Not once.
01:27He said, go where I send you.
01:30He said, speak what I command you.
01:34He said, stand firm.
01:37He said, be courageous.
01:41Obedience has always been the assignment.
01:45Approval never was.
01:46And here's the truth that makes some of us uncomfortable.
01:50And I understand, but even you don't like everybody.
01:55Not because you're hard-hearted, but because your spirit discerns.
02:01You feel when someone isn't aligned with your purpose.
02:06You sense when someone's energy is draining you.
02:10You pick up on motives long before you can put language to them.
02:14You built, you are built with spiritual receptors, not because you are better than anyone,
02:23but because God wired you to notice what others miss.
02:27So if you, as one human being, don't feel connected to everybody,
02:34why in the world would you expect everybody to feel connected to you?
02:40Trying to be universally liked is one of the fastest ways to lose yourself.
02:45You start editing your personality.
02:48You start shrinking your gift.
02:52You start apologizing for your calling.
02:56And you become less of who God crafted and more of who people demand.
03:02Little by little, you begin to disappear.
03:08That's not humility.
03:10That's fear wearing a polite mask.
03:13Think about the people God used.
03:16Noah wasn't liked.
03:18Moses wasn't liked.
03:21David wasn't liked.
03:23Jeremiah wasn't liked.
03:25Paul wasn't liked.
03:28Jesus himself, walking in perfect love, perfect truth, perfect mercy,
03:35was not liked by everyone.
03:39He's not liked by everyone today.
03:43Now, some loved him.
03:45Some followed him.
03:47But some doubted him.
03:50And some opposed him.
03:52Some plotted against him.
03:56Now, if perfect love wasn't universally loved,
04:00what makes you think you will be?
04:03Think about that.
04:04Being chosen by God always creates a reaction in people.
04:10Some will be drawn by your light.
04:12Some will be irritated by it.
04:15Some will admire your courage.
04:18Some will feel threatened by it.
04:20Some will celebrate your growth.
04:24Some will resent it.
04:25But you know what?
04:26It's not personal.
04:28It's spiritual.
04:30And your presence stirs things.
04:33You don't think that's true?
04:35Read the comments on my videos.
04:37I'm anything from a great guy to the Antichrist.
04:42I mean, what are you going to do?
04:43You can't please everyone.
04:45All you can do is show up every day and do your best.
04:48And that's exactly why you can't anchor your identity in people's opinions.
04:55You'll never walk in your calling if you keep trying to manage their comfort.
05:02You don't need to apologize for outgrowing a season.
05:06You don't need to shrink to fit into somebody else's insecurity.
05:10You don't need to explain your boundaries to people who benefit from you not having any.
05:18You don't need to carry the weight of being everyone's favorite.
05:24Let them misunderstand you.
05:27Let them misinterpret you.
05:29Let them talk.
05:31Let them distance themselves if they need to.
05:35That's between them and their own heart.
05:38And sometimes when you lose people in this world, it's not always a loss.
05:44You know, your job is not to make everyone comfortable.
05:48Your job is to make yourself available to God.
05:53Some people are not meant to go where God is taking you.
05:58And when they feel that shift, they may pull back, criticize, or question your motives.
06:04But that's okay.
06:07Separation often looks like rejection until you understand the assignment.
06:13Sometimes God protects your future by pruning your circle.
06:19And yes, it can hurt.
06:23And you know what?
06:24Also, it can feel personal.
06:28Yeah, it feels like a loss.
06:31But often, it's actually direction.
06:35It's God clearing space.
06:37It's God removing interference from your signal.
06:40It's God making sure you are not bound to people who would never withstand the weight of your next season.
06:50Stop demanding universal approval for a calling that was never meant to be universally understood.
06:59You are not here to be everyone's preference.
07:02You are here to be God's servant.
07:05And the day you embrace that is the day you step into real freedom.
07:10Your shoulders relax.
07:13Your voice will strengthen.
07:16Your prayers will deepen.
07:18Your clarity sharpens.
07:20And your spirit will rise.
07:24Because now, instead of spending your life trying to be everyone's favorite,
07:29you spend it trying to be faithful.
07:32Faithful to God's whisper.
07:34Faithful to God's whisper.
07:35Faithful to His direction.
07:37Faithful to His purpose for you.
07:41And you have a purpose.
07:44A beautiful one.
07:45And gifts within you that only you can represent in the way God intended.
07:52Listen.
07:52Some will like you.
07:55Some won't.
07:56Some will understand you.
07:59Some won't.
08:01Some will celebrate you.
08:04Some won't.
08:05That's life.
08:07That's ministry.
08:09That is humanity.
08:11But the beauty is this.
08:14None of them can stop what God is doing in you.
08:19So walk boldly.
08:21Walk freely.
08:23Walk lightly.
08:24And walk without fear of opinions that were never meant to guide you.
08:31Walk with the confidence of someone who knows their worth doesn't come from crowds.
08:36It comes from the Creator.
08:40Stop trying to be liked by everybody.
08:44Start trying to be faithful to the one who called you.
08:49Because that's where your freedom is.
08:51That's where your power comes from.
08:55And that's where your purpose begins.
