00:00So when I started college, my degree was going to be psychology pre-med, and then I got a D in chemistry.
00:08And it was like, the D is like, done. Don't even do that no more. No thank you. Don't even try to do it.
00:15So that semester I dropped pre-med, I actually started blogging, because one of my friends peer pressured me to doing it.
00:21So I had this blog, and I was writing about undergrad life, the D I was getting, roommate beef.
00:27And that's really what kind of got me started.
00:30And one of my friends ended up becoming the first black editor-in-chief of my college paper, and I went to Illinois.
00:38And she said, you know what, I love how you write. I want to give you an advice column in this cool newspaper.
00:44So every Wednesday, my picture would be on the back of the paper, and people would stop me on campus and be like, I saw you on the back of the paper.
00:50That was good.
00:52And honestly, that ended up becoming the blog that was awesomelylovey.com, which I still have today.
00:57That blog I started in 2006, it changed my life.
01:00So almost 20 years for the blog.
01:02Yeah, I'm a 20-year overnight success.
