00:00Tourism. The tourism sector has the potential to play a large role in the employment generation,
00:08forex earnings and expanding the local economy. I propose to set up a National Institute of
00:15Hospitality by upgrading the existing National Council for Hotel Management and Catering
00:22Technology. It will function as a bridge between academia, industry and government.
00:32I also propose a pilot scheme for upskilling 10,000 guides in 20 iconic tourist sites through
00:42a standardized, high-quality, 12-week training course in hybrid mode in collaboration with
00:51an Indian Institute of Management. A national destination digital knowledge grid will be
01:01established to digitally document all places of significance, cultural, spiritual and heritage.

01:21creators and technology partners. India has the potential and opportunity to offer world-class
01:29trekking and hiking experience. We will develop ecologically sustainable mountain trails in Himachal
01:41Pradesh, Uttarakhand and Jammu Kashmir. Also in Arakku Valley in the Eastern Guards and Podigai Malay in the Western Guards.
01:54Turtle trails along key nesting sites in the coastal areas of Orisha, Karnataka and Kerala. And three bird-watching trails along the Pulikat Lake in the
02:11Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu. It's on the border. Under the visionary leadership of Honourable Prime Minister, we established the International Big Cat Alliance in 2024.
02:26This year, India is hosting the first-ever global Big Cat Summit, where heads of governments and ministers from 95 range countries will deliberate on collective strategies for conservation.
02:45Heritage and cultural tourism. I propose to develop 15 archaeological sites including Lothal, Dolavira, Rakigadi, Adichanallu, Saranath, Hastinapur and Le Palace into vibrant experiential cultural destinations.
03:06Excavated landscapes will be opened to the public through curated walkways. Immersive storytelling skills and technologies will be introduced to help conservation labs, interpretation centres and guides.
