00:00Honourable Vice President,
00:02The Prime Minister's main plan to promote the Malaysian Tourism Campaign 2026
00:10is to increase the number of tourists visiting the country,
00:15by increasing the number of tourists visiting the country for the night,
00:20by offering packages that can attract visitors for the night,
00:26such as the Midnight Sale Package in Johor Bahru.
00:30To extend the timing of visitors,
00:36by enriching the cultural experience and eco-tourism,
00:42by strengthening the community,
00:45by increasing the infrastructure,
00:48and by reducing tourism spending,
00:53by promoting the tourism experience,
00:57such as health tourism, golf tourism, and gastronomy tourism.
01:05The Malaysian Tourism Campaign 2026 is expected to have a positive impact
01:13on the development of the country's economy,
01:16especially in the tourism sector such as transportation,
01:19accommodation, restaurants, hawker stores, and additional products.
01:25Transportation sectors such as buses, cranes, taxis, and others
01:32will receive higher transportation.
01:35This can create more job opportunities in the tourism sector.
01:44MOTEC has set a target of 35.6 million international tourists
01:59for the Malaysian Tourism Campaign 2026.
02:03However, we have managed to achieve more than the initial target
02:10of 38 million international tourists in 2024.
02:18In connection with that, MOTEC is reviewing the target of international tourists
02:24for the Malaysian Tourism Campaign 2026.
02:28This will be known after the target is established.
02:34Actually, the Malaysian Tourism Campaign 2026
02:39MOTEC, through its agencies,
02:42will always cooperate with state-owned enterprises,
02:46private agencies, NGOs, or NPOs
02:50in carrying out all kinds of activities
02:55that are encouraged by the parties involved.
03:02Such as the Rainforest World Music Festival,
03:07the Sarong Train, the Maha Exhibition,
03:11Midnight Mega Sale Malaysia,
03:15the ISTA Program, and others
03:21will also be carried out with the support of the Malaysian Tourism Campaign 2026.
03:27Prior to this, MOTEC has held Midnight Mega Sale in Johor.
03:33This year, we will expand this program to 3 or 5 mega sales
03:42throughout the country.
03:43We will also promote the Food Festival for all countries.
03:51That's all. Thank you.
