00:00All right, Essence, we've got more. Do you want more? I can't hear you. Do you want more?
00:11Listen, I know I don't look like Lauryn Hill or Missy Elliott, the people that you're going to
00:16see, but you want more from us right here at this Essence stage, right? Okay, so we, who loves to
00:23travel? Hands, hands. I love it, I love it. Well, through our hospitality of Disney, you too can
00:30travel with friends and family, see all these great destinations with our Adventures for Disney,
00:36with our Disney Vacation Club, National Geographic, Expeditions, I like that, Expeditions, and even
00:43our Disney Cruise Line. Take a look.
00:53See you next time.
01:23See you next time.
01:53Wow, doesn't it look fascinating? Well, here to tell us more, please help me welcome
02:10Vice President of Travel, Services, Pricing, and Revenue Management, Tracy Powell.
02:16And she's looking fabulous. Tracy, we're making everybody strut their stuff on this runway.
02:24Work, work, work. Oh, yes. We love it. And we work, work, work, and then we take vacations,
02:31and that's what Tracy's here to tell us all about. Thank you so much for being here with
02:35us on this stage. Thank you, Deja. So you're going to tell us a little bit about the Disney
02:40vacations around the globe. What sets this apart from the vacation experiences? What sets them
02:47apart? Wow. It is, first of all, thanks for having us here. We are so excited to be here.
02:52And I'll tell you the difference. I mean, we have such fantastic experiences in our parks and in our
02:57resorts. But this is a way to be able to experience Disney outside of the parks and resorts.
03:04And I don't think a lot of us think about that. So what is the Disney Vacation Club? Is that just
03:08for guests who want to go to the parks or is it broader? Yeah. I mean, Disney Vacation Club is a
03:15phenomenal way to be able to see each and every one of our parks from around the world, which is
03:20fabulous. But the reality is through Disney Vacation Club, as a member, you can go and experience the
03:27world in so many different ways. You can go to places within the country, outside of the country,
03:33Mexico, Las Vegas, all around the world. Wow. And you can do that as a member. That is amazing. Okay. So
03:40one word keeps going through my head, majestic expeditions. Is there a difference between
03:45Adventures by Disney and National Geographic expeditions? Oh, that is a great question. I want
03:53to tell you a little bit about Adventures by Disney. So Adventures by Disney is a legendary guided
03:59experience. And so you may not know what a guided experience is, but you have an opportunity to go
04:03with a small group around to a destination and have an opportunity to really experience what that is
04:11in that country, wherever you are. So through Adventures by Disney, you have that ability
04:16to do it with very, very seasoned adventure guides that takes you to places that you may know and
04:23in places that aren't really on the beaten path. But only Adventures by Disney can do that. And if you
04:31want to know the difference between National Geographic expeditions and Adventures by Disney,
04:36National Geographic expedition. Well, first of all, let me ask this question.
04:39Does anybody know National Geographic? Oh my gosh, of course. We all love National Geographic.
04:45All right, of course. 134 years they have been in place. And so you have to think about the
04:52storytelling that can happen there and the adventure that happens there. And only National
04:57Geographic expeditions can bring that to life just for you. That sounds amazing. In 80 different
05:03destinations all over seven continents, including Antarctica. And you get an opportunity to experience
05:10all of that through National Geographic expeditions. Okay, so where are we going? Because I'm ready.
05:15I got my passport. I'm ready. Those sound like some really big adventures. How about before we do this,
05:25can we bring out a special guest to help us with our next travel? Yes, yes, yes. All right.
05:32From Disney's Aladdin on Broadway. Please welcome back, Michael James Scott.
05:41Yeah. Come on over here. Oh, he's changed. Look at this. He's got on the outfit.
05:47Costume change. Yes. Hello, lovely ladies. Hello. Hello. Look at this. All right. Now, you know,
05:54he's from Broadway's Aladdin. He plays the Genie on Aladdin. Michael, do you know why we brought you out
06:00here? Well, I guess probably because I'm a huge Disney Cruise Line fan. Yes, yes, yes. I would think
06:09that's somewhat of a part of it because Disney Cruise Line is everything and it's iconic. I mean,
06:14the ship is iconic. All of the ships are. Absolutely. Absolutely. But before we talk about that,
06:19you play the Genie on Broadway. It's time to work a little Disney magic. Okay. So are you going to
06:25grant some wishes around here? I think we might be granting some epic wishes. Oh, okay. Now, wait.
06:32On to you. So, let's see. Let's see. Why don't you do this for us? Okay. Well, first of all,
06:38who likes to travel? Oh, now they have energy. Who likes adventures more importantly? Okay. Okay.
06:47Okay. That's good to see. But we have to narrow it down. So, Michael. Yes. Do you mind coming over
06:53here and absolutely pulling three numbers from there? Three. Just three. Three numbers. Think your
07:04number. Think your number. Think your number. Okay, everybody. Think about a number. Think about a
07:07number. First one. Call it out. Go ahead. 168. Number 168. Front and center. Now, look for our
07:19friends with the white glove right there. They're going to help you out. Come on, Genie. Make
07:22your wishes come true. 251. 251. Come on. Come on. Go over here right here to our friends with the
07:32white glove Mickey hand. 29. That's my age. 29. And I'm holding. 29. Right over here. Oh, my gosh.
07:47Those are the three. Now, you three go up with our friends in the audience. Don't forget to come back.
07:52Michael, tell us a little more about your connection with Disney Cruise Line again. Oh, gosh. Well,
07:57I recently got to do something pretty amazing. I was a part of the first national commercial for
08:05Disney Cruise Line and as the voice for the commercial for the newest, biggest ship that
08:13they have, the wish. Wow. So, that's me on the commercial singing this, the incredible, a dream is
08:19a wish. Okay. Okay. Wait. Uh-oh. This, who was singing, who was singing that song, Michael James
08:25Scott. Give it up for him. Woo! It really was so special. And it's also, it can be seen in some of
08:33the movie theaters before the movies. So, it was, it was pretty special. My connection with the
08:38Disney Cruise Line is, it's a beautiful part of the company. That's awesome. That I just love
08:42dearly. Tracy, did you have a question for me? Oh, yeah. Yeah. Okay. So, you have to tell
08:47us. So, you've been on a cruise. And so, for those that have never been on a cruise, what's
08:51the best thing about a Disney cruise? Oh, gosh. There's so much. There's so much. I mean,
08:58obviously, the, well, one of the things is the kids, they, they're going to be away. They're
09:02going to be in their own worlds, which is, you know, so they can have their thing and then
09:06the, and then the, and then the parents can go do their thing. But the most amazing
09:09thing is the family connections, I feel like. There's such amazing moments that happen on
09:15the cruise. And also, the shows. There are some incredible stage shows that are on that
09:22ship that are, I mean, truly world-class, amazing, amazing, amazing. And, of course,
09:26that's what, I mean. Clearly, yes. That's what I want to, I want to be there. Broadway-like. Yes.
09:30Like that Broadway style. Exactly. Exactly. And Tracy, what do you love about Disney Cruise
09:35Cruise Line? Oh, wow. I could go on and on and on. But let me just tell you a little bit.
09:39I love the fact on Disney Cruise Lines, like no other, we have things for the young, as far
09:47as our young guests, and those that are young at heart. And let me tell you a little, a little
09:51bit about it from the kids' point of view. Okay. We have kids programming, to your point,
09:55that is fabulous. They have an opportunity to really immerse themselves in this kid programming.
10:01And one, in particular, is about the Marvel, Marvel story. And so, they really immerse themselves
10:07in that Marvel story. And Black Panther is right there cheering them along.
10:12Wakanda forever. Absolutely. Wakanda forever. Along with that, they have story time and arts
10:18and crafts with Rapunzel and Belle and so many others. So, they have such a great time. But I have
10:25to say, adults get a chance to play, too. Okay, now. They get an opportunity to have adult
10:30only. And please note, these areas, no kids allowed, where they have a chance to have their
10:37own pools, lounges, bars, restaurants. Just for the grown-ups? Just for the grown-ups. Just
10:42for the grown-ups. Come on now. It's phenomenal. I love it. And I have to also say that you mentioned
10:48Disney Wish, which is our newest ship. We're super excited about it. But our fleet is growing.
10:55Really? And it's growing because we have Disney Treasure coming out in 2024.
11:01Treasure. A new one? And we have our seventh ship that is under development. So, we have so much
11:08going on in Disney Cruise Line. Absolutely. Okay. They've been using the time wisely. Oh, yeah.
11:13So, question. We got to lean in. We got to lean in. When are we going? When are we going?
11:17Because I'm ready. I am ready. Well, you have to talk to my people. All right, fine. You know what?
11:22I might know your people. And I know the mouse. And I know there's a gloved hand that we were
11:26talking to. Where are our winners? Are they all set and ready? Okay. Well, we're going to welcome
11:32them back. And we want you to come up here. Play a little game. Well, come as close as you
11:42can come. Play the game. As close as you can come. And here's what you're going to do.
11:47When it's your turn, you're going to reach into that bag and grab out something. Your wish
11:53is about to come true. No peeking, all right? Go ahead. Boom. Next. Boom. Next. All right.
12:10All right. So, what I would love for you to do, this beautiful young woman. Let's see.
12:17Raise up what you have in your hand. Okay. Got it. It looks like a little bird. Yes. It
12:25looks like a little bird. Yes. So, you know, I think those are very nice gifts. I'm glad
12:29that you were one of the ones to receive the gifts because it's really exciting. But, of
12:36course, Disney would never allow you just to have those. So, that wonderful parrot that you
12:43have in your hand will not only be yours, but you'll have an opportunity for an all-expense
12:49paid trip on Adventures by Disney to Costa Rica.
12:54Oh! Come on, Disney. Come on.
13:00Yo, Disney. Come on. Right. Right. Come on. Yes.
13:03Come on, Disney. Come on, Disney. Congrats. Okay. All right.
13:06Congrats. Congrats. Okay. Second. What do you have in your hand?
13:09Oh, look at beautiful Simba. Is that baby Simba? Oh, yes. Oh, my gosh. Now, let's see.
13:16Hmm. I believe. What do you think, Michael? I think. I definitely. I know where you're
13:23going. I know where you're going. That you should get an all-expense paid trip on National Geographic
13:29Expeditions to Kenya. Oh, my gosh. She's going to the motherland.
13:36She's going to the motherland. Come on, now. Hey. Go to the motherland. Go to the motherland.
13:40What? You better hold the baby Simba up. Hold him up. Yes.
13:44Okay. Next prize. Next prize. All right. Last, but definitely not least. We are not going to
13:50go home. Oh, you have a Mickey. Oh, isn't that sweet? Oh. Beautiful. Oh. Well, we can't
13:57let you go home without having an all-expense paid trip on a Disney crew. Yeah. Amazing.
14:05Congratulations to all three of you. Making all of your dreams come true. And you know
14:12what? Michael James Scott, we got to put you to work. You've granted wishes. Yes. And now
14:17we have to really hear a dream is a wish. We got to hear from you. Come on, now. All right.
14:22Can't let you leave without that. Yes. All right. All right. Take it away, Michael.
14:26Let's do this. Thank you. Thank you.
14:49Well, in the meantime, how you doing? Here we go.
14:53I just want to go back, don't I? I just want to go back.
14:56Probably.
15:11A dream is a wish your heart makes when you're fast asleep. In dreams you will look at me,
15:22You will lose your heartaches
15:26Whatever you wish for, you keep
15:30Have faith in your dreams
15:34And someday, your rainbow will come smiling through
15:39No matter how your heart is grieving
15:43If you keep on believing
15:49The dream that you wish
15:56Will come true
16:19In your dreams
16:26And someday, your rainbow will come smiling through
16:33Oh, how long in your dreams and someday your angel will come smiling through.
16:45No matter how your heart is grieving, if you keep on believing the dream that you win.
17:03The dream that you wish will come true.
17:13The dream that you wish will come true.
