00:00In the UK, a 999 call is made to the police every three seconds.
00:25It's alright, don't panic. There's people on their way.
00:28Are we going to go to a murder scene? Because it's entirely possible at that point.
00:33But not every call is as it seems.
00:36The dagger that he had is designed that could even go through somebody's skull.
00:40Oi! What's going on? Oi! I'm going to need an ambulance.
00:44It's the investigating officers who must hunt for the truth.
00:48Keep your hands out of your pocket.
00:50Hey, listen.
00:518-6, we have a mobile phone in the bushes here.
00:53And prove it.
00:54I can't remember anything at all.
00:56My gut was saying that he was lying to me.
00:59Examining every angle.
01:01What measures are they prepared to take to try and throw us off the Senate? We don't know.
01:05To bring the guilty to justice.
01:07She needs to stop lying.
01:10The girl's deceased.
01:12Yeah.
01:12I've been nighed by a crazy bloke.
01:33Exactly what has happened?
01:36I'm pulling with blood.
01:41Okay, I understand that they're going to get that help arranged for you.
01:44Is the attack still nearby?
01:47Well, he's going to run off in the end.
01:50But I'm scared that they're going to come back.
01:52Where is he meant to be?
02:00Wright Street.
02:00This is Wright Street.
02:01He could be anywhere.
02:03Have you got a description of the person that's done this at all?
02:06He had a black job.
02:08Just keep holding that firm, steady pressure on the wound.
02:12I'm literally just going towards the ambulance now.
02:14The response officers were there within a few minutes.
02:18All the information they have at the time is that there's a victim that's been stabbed
02:22and where that victim is and the ambulance are there, they're treating them.
02:27How are you doing?
02:28It's becoming a little bit hyper-attensive, so these blood pressures drop in and all the rest of it.
02:32But we've still got isolated injuries.
02:34It looks like a laceration cut down there and one to there, so potentially a knife.
02:40There is a problem with crime.
02:42As in every city.
02:44How are you doing, mate?
02:45I'm a police officer.
02:47Within Peterborough, we don't often get random knife attacks.
02:52But laceration is fine.
02:53Laceration here, same on the other side of the shin separately.
02:56Very small one on the arm, very small one on the head.
02:58How deep would you say that is, roughly?
03:00Haven't even assessed.
03:01You can see it's on the tendon.
03:03Fine.
03:03And then I've stopped looking.
03:04Fine.
03:05No problem.
03:06He had four stab wounds, slash wounds.
03:10There was one on his head, two on his leg.
03:12But the most serious one was on his shin.
03:16And I think it was very much a sort of protective stance from him as he's been on his back on the floor and he's sort of brought his legs up to protect himself.
03:25Had he not done that, who knows?
03:26I'd be thinking, do these two people know each other?
03:31Have they had some sort of history past where this guy's been targeted for whatever reason?
03:36Do you know this man?
03:38No, you don't.
03:39Okay, fine.
03:39The victim tells police he'd been out for an early morning walk when someone rushed up behind him and started stabbing him.
03:48Is there some sort of political, religious motivation for this attack?
03:52All we know at that moment is that we've got a victim, multiple stab wounds, and a suspect that is no longer on the scene.
04:02The ambulance service has already given police some details of the attacker.
04:07I have also got a description.
04:09Oh, yes, please.
04:10We need to identify and we need to locate who this person is.
04:27We are looking everywhere for this male.
04:34The priority for the police in this scenario is safeguarding everyone.
04:38This person is a dangerous person.
04:42And they are on the streets of Peterborough, and we need to find them immediately.
04:59Police emergency.
05:01Hiya, there's been an accident in Glyn Terrace, Farfrew.
05:05Yeah.
05:05And the call came through that there had been a vehicle collision up near Vokru, and that it was serious.
05:20There was rain, but generally visibility should have been good.
05:24The area is quite mountainous in what would be, you know, considered the Welsh Valleys.
05:29The fire brigade and police are immediately sent to the scene.
05:35On the way, they receive a second 999 call, this time from the driver.
05:40It's been in the car, car collision.
05:46Are you hurt?
05:47No, I'm not.
05:49No, I'm not.
05:51Sorry?
05:53The girl was deceased.
05:55The girl's deceased?
05:57She's fucking deceased.
05:59She's fucking deceased.
05:59She's fucking deceased.
06:00Index Foxstrot Tango 10, Papa X-Ray, Foxstrot.
06:15Skoda Octavia.
06:17It's hit the storm wall on the descent off the mountain down into Vokru, just before Glyn Terrace.
06:24There appeared to be only one vehicle involved.
06:28There was a lot of debris at the scene.
06:31It had struck a substantial wall that was strewn across the scene,
06:36along with a metal barrier that bordered a cattle grid.
06:54It was a fatality. It's a fatality with a female.
06:57She's still in the passenger seat.
07:02We need to understand who this person is as soon as possible.
07:06The driver had provided a possible name of Chloe.
07:13We were able to identify through some personal belongings
07:16that it was Chloe Heyman.
07:20Chloe had sustained fatal injuries
07:22when the metal barrier around the cattle grid
07:25crashed through the windscreen.
07:27She was just 17.
07:31There's a main scene with, like,
07:34a present who's walking, wouldn't it?
07:37He's believed to be the driver.
07:40The person who we believe was the driver
07:42appeared subdued, withdrawn, quiet, as you would expect.
07:48Probably being involved in an incident like this.
07:51It had been raining, so was disheveled to a certain degree.
07:56But certainly didn't appear to have injuries consistent with the vehicle
08:02and the damage that I had seen.
08:05You got blood there on your left arm.
08:07Just up with your leg, a sec.
08:09It's going to be the...
08:10It's going to be the...
08:11It's going to be the...
08:18So why has this vehicle left the road?
08:21A lot of things crossed my mind.
08:23I looked at the road,
08:24and I was presented with a fairly straight road
08:27with open grass banking.
08:29So visibility shouldn't have been an issue.
08:33Was there an animal involved?
08:34Was there an attempt to avoid an animal that's caused this?
08:39Could there be a mechanical fault
08:41or something that the driver had no control over?
08:43There were other people at the scene in a vehicle.
08:49Does third party become, you know, the significant factor?
08:54The witness who made the initial 999 call
08:57has given police another detail about the driver.
09:00The gentleman who was driving, like,
09:03well, it's his third bottle.
09:05I've seen him drinking alcohol now.
09:19In Peterborough, a man in his 50s
09:21has been stabbed multiple times
09:23in a random, unprovoked attack.
09:26How you doing, mate? I'm a police officer.
09:27Is that exactly what has happened?
09:30I've been knocked by a crazy bloke.
09:34The attack occurred on Bright Street
09:36and it's completely unprovoked.
09:39Looks like a laceration cut down there and one there.
09:44So ambulance had made it clear
09:45that he needs to go to hospital.
09:49But they had also made it clear
09:50that there was another victim.
09:54Hello. How are you, sir?
09:56What's happened?
09:57Shortly after stabbing the man in his 50s,
09:59the attacker tried to steal a phone from another passer-by
10:03and then punched him.
10:05The other victim has been punched to the head,
10:07not stabbed. Punched to the head.
10:10What did you see?
10:11Did you see him attack the other guy?
10:14He'd asked for his phone and then tried to grab it
10:16and punched him in the head.
10:18He's assaulted him.
10:19What's he look like?
10:20The description that was given by the second victim
10:24matched more or less the first victim's account.
10:28What was he wearing?
10:30We can be reasonably sure that this suspect is the same suspect.
10:34We've now got two victims.
10:37We still don't know at that point if he's in possession of a knife.
10:40And we don't know where suspect is.
10:44A description of the attacker is immediately circulated to officers on the ground
10:51and the CCTV team.
10:53They're searching for an Asian male in his 40s in a black tracksuit.
10:57We all kind of more on edge because a random attack, someone's used a weapon.
11:04What's going on? What is this?
11:07Finally, they get a hit for a man matching the description of the suspect.
11:14The CCTV team were able to identify who they thought this person was
11:19and then follow him on camera.
11:22We had the CCTV operator following suspects every move.
11:28But they then lost him.
11:35He must have gone into a blind spot.
11:39So at that point, again, you start thinking,
11:42what's happening? What's he doing now?
11:49He clearly has some sort of vendetta, whatever it might be, to go out and injure people.
11:54Are we going to go to a murder scene? Because it's not entirely possible at that point.
12:01It's not entirely possible at that point.
12:02You start thinking.
12:04You start thinking.
12:06And then...
12:13CCTV had spotted the suspect.
12:19the suspect he was seen going into a shop if you've got a small shop with members of
12:38public inside you just know how somebody's going to react what if he tries to take a
12:42hostage what if he pulls a knife out and stabs someone so armed units were immediately dispatched
12:48to that area they've been deployed by our oscar one so it's a control room inspector who give them
12:55authority to arm
12:57police emergency
13:16the girl's deceased
13:22in gwent a girl has been killed in a car crash on a country road near the village of walker
13:37witnesses have reported the driver drinking after the crash from male front passenger who's that
13:45confirmed as deceased she's been named as 17 year old chloe hayman
13:50while officers on the scene begin to investigate the crash a family liaison officer needs to notify
13:57her family immediately
13:59the police knocked my door
14:03so i'm on i'm in the house on my own
14:07they said do you know chloe hayman
14:15and i said yeah i said she's she's my daughter
14:19um and they said well she's been involved in a
14:24a road collision
14:26and i said right i said well where is she and i said well she's at the scene and i said
14:31sorry what do you mean and i said well she's it's been fatal and i said well i said i said what do you mean fatal
14:38and she said well she's she's passed away
14:45i can't even describe the feeling it was like
14:53like just it was like i couldn't understand or accept what he'd said
15:00i just remember thinking this isn't real
15:05so i was really really quite young having chloe
15:11i think i was like 18 maybe 19 having her
15:18so for me all of my adult life was having chloe a part of that
15:26chloe just gave me something that nobody else did and i think to have that stripped away from you
15:32physically is so soul destroying
15:45at the scene police are investigating reports the driver has been drinking after the crash
15:51they talked to the eyewitness who made the initial 999 call
15:55i was aware there was some bottles of alcohol around the scene
16:16the witnesses had explained that the driver appeared drunk
16:20he said i just killed somebody's and take me ads off he said i wasn't drinking like a
16:25football axe
16:26i'm just gonna speak to the main house thought to be the driver

17:16The reading he provides then will naturally be higher than maybe what would have been at the point of collision.
17:23And it's important that we can prove how impaired he was at the point of collision.
17:29I'm going to require you to provide me a sample of breath or breath test, okay?
17:32Yeah, I was driving home. I had four bottles of prorine in my car.
17:37And that happened. I will be honest with you.
17:41Soon as that happened, I literally drank it all at once.
17:45Have you had any alcohol in the past 20 minutes?
17:51No. In 20 minutes, yes, yes, yes.
17:54I'm going to wait 10 minutes before administering this test, okay?
17:58A breath test can only be given 20 minutes after the last thing a suspect has consumed.
18:04This is to avoid contaminating the sample.
18:07I know for a fact I'm going to feel this breath, is it?
18:10I'm going to go to the station and I'm going to feel Lawrence or I know Elm.
18:13Maybe I shouldn't have drunk them, yeah? But I was not drunk driving. That wasn't the case.
18:18All right.
18:20Okay, take a nice deep breath for me. Make a firm seal around the mouthpiece and blow until the table stops.
18:26Nice deep breath.
18:26Keep going, keep going, keep going, keep going, keep going, keep going, keep going, keep going, keep going, keep going.
18:36Okay, it's shown a fail, okay?
18:41It hasn't given me a reading, but it's shown a fail.
18:44And there is a strong smell of intoxicants coming from you, okay?
18:49The breathalyzer confirms Keelan is over the legal limit to drive.
18:54But it hasn't given a reading of how much he's over the limit.
18:58And he's been seen drinking after the crash, which could affect the result.
19:03Without more detailed blood tests,
19:05police can't prove how much alcohol was in his system at the time of the crash.
19:10The driver was presenting as shocked and remorseful and upset.
19:15But had he consumed alcohol after the collision to actually throw us off the scent
19:22and mask how drunk he was at the time of collision?
19:28I was very angry.
19:32I'd never felt so much hate towards a person in my entire life.
19:37You know, we're not just coming on about an accident or a fight.
19:41We're on about somebody that's died here.
19:43And you were the cause of that.
19:46In Peterborough, police are on the hunt for a random attacker
19:59who stabbed one man and assaulted another while trying to steal his phone.
20:05He's been spotted on CCTV going into a shop.
20:08Worried he has a weapon and may strike again,
20:14armed officers move in to arrest him.
20:20Fella!
20:21Oh, please, show me your arm!
20:23Show me your arm!
20:23Taylor!
20:24Listen to me.
20:25Wait, on the floor.
20:26Sit down on the floor now.
20:28Keep looking at me in those southern movements.
20:30So your arms out to the side, mate.
20:32Your arms out to the side.
20:34Arms out to the side.
20:35Okay.
20:35Put your palms facing up.
20:37Okay.
20:37Palms facing up.
20:38Okay.
20:39Turn your arms out facing up.
20:40Okay, good.
20:41Okay.
20:42Do you know why you're being detained?
20:43I don't know.
20:44Okay.
20:44There's been a report that you might have a knife on you, okay?
20:47Someone's been injured.
20:48Your arm behind your back.
20:49He looks quite confused.
20:51He's doing gestures to the police,
20:54almost like, well, I don't understand.
20:56Oi.
20:57Got any workers on you, mate?
20:58I can't consult.
20:59That's a good man.
20:59It's a kill.
21:00You're being detained.
21:01Someone's saying they've been assaulted.
21:02Stats.
21:03Yeah, get back on.
21:04Stats.
21:05Sit up with me.
21:05Oh, boy, dude.
21:06I want to stand you up, okay?
21:08Yeah, it's okay.
21:10The suspect is taken into custody,
21:13but says he has no knowledge of any attacks
21:15and there's no sign of a knife.
21:20It's always going to run through your mind
21:22whether or not you've got the right person,
21:25because what if we haven't?
21:27What if there is still somebody out there?
21:28The suspect is identified as Inam Qureshi.
21:37While detectives wait to question him,
21:40they review CCTV to track his movements that day.
21:42And that's when we found the third victim.
21:47We know that our suspect has gone into McDonald's
21:55and bought coffee
21:56because CCTV then picked him up on a street called Westgate.
22:02He's picked out this victim.
22:05He can see him coming.
22:06He's targeted him.
22:07He's got the cup in his hand.
22:09He walks up to him, makes a beeline for him.
22:11And literally, he's within a few feet from him
22:13when he's throwing this hot cup of coffee.
22:18Victims then try and literally running away.
22:20Suspect's chasing after him.
22:27He catches up with him here.
22:30And his stance, he's like a fighter stance.
22:32He's bending his knees.
22:33He's sort of dancing around him a little bit.
22:36He's pushing him up against a shop window.
22:41But again, he's crouching down.
22:44He's got his hands poised.
22:47And there, bang.
22:48One punch.
22:50Now, he's lucky.
22:51He's lucky the injuries weren't worse.
22:57It blacktracks it with a gold band around it.
23:00And it just stands out.
23:01You know, it's quite unique.
23:04The police need to prove he's the same man
23:06responsible for an earlier attack,
23:08where a man in his 50s
23:10was repeatedly stabbed with a knife.
23:15Unfortunately, the first attack,
23:19what set this all in motion,
23:20wasn't captured on camera.
23:25Investigating officers pull CCTV from a pub
23:28close to where the man was stabbed.
23:30We captured the first victim limping.
23:40And then literally a second after,
23:42our suspect appears on camera
23:43in the car park,
23:45bright as day,
23:46and that quite distinctive gold band
23:48around his top.
23:50You can see it's him 100%.
23:52And it was just a great bit of footage
23:54to show almost there goes victim.
23:57Here comes suspect.
23:57We now have a situation
24:00where we've got a suspect
24:01with no weapon.
24:02So where is that weapon?
24:06Police need to find a knife.
24:13So this is the location
24:15where we've got that lovely bit of CCTV
24:18from the pub just there.
24:19The beauty of the footage
24:23that we got showed
24:24our suspect coming out
24:25of the trees and the bushes.
24:29As he's cut through,
24:30it's just a perfect opportunity
24:31to dump the knife in there.
24:36If you're all right to wait
24:37till I've cleared the areas,
24:39that'll be great.
24:40A police dog unit
24:41is dispatched
24:42to search for the knife.
24:43And then as you come out
24:47the bushes onto the side,
24:48immediately on your left.
24:55That's when they found
24:56a knife.
25:00Hey, good boy.
25:03Well done.
25:04It was a big knife
25:07that could have caused
25:09serious, serious damage.
25:11The physical findings
25:13from the knife
25:14were of paramount importance
25:16in establishing the events
25:17involving the victim.
25:19If we can get forensically linked
25:21with the suspect
25:22or the victim
25:23on that weapon,
25:25that's a game changer.
25:25Gwent police
25:35are investigating
25:36a possible drunk driving incident
25:37in which a 17-year-old girl
25:39has been killed.
25:42OK, it's shown fail, OK?
25:45It hasn't given me a reading,
25:46but it's shown fail.
25:48And there is a strong smell
25:51of intoxicants
25:52coming from you, OK?
25:54The driver,
25:5421-year-old
25:56Keelan Roberts
25:56has failed a breathalyzer test
25:58at the scene
25:59but claims this is
26:01because he drank alcohol
26:02after the crash.
26:05I was not drinking
26:06all the way
26:06I was in my car.
26:07I drank after, no.
26:08OK.
26:10OK, pop your arms
26:11up for me a second.
26:13He's arrested
26:14on suspicion of driving
26:15while unfit
26:16through drink
26:16and causing death
26:17by dangerous driving.
26:19But officers
26:20need to gather
26:21more evidence
26:22to prove how much
26:23alcohol was in
26:23his bloodstream
26:24at the time
26:25of the crash.
26:28Just because we have
26:29the presence
26:30of alcohol
26:30at the scene
26:31it doesn't mean
26:32that that evidence
26:33is strong enough
26:34to get that conviction.
26:36Drinking alcohol
26:37shortly after a crash
26:38can work
26:39on a breathalyzer.
26:40The police
26:41cannot determine
26:41when the alcohol
26:42was drunk
26:42but there are
26:43more detailed
26:44blood tests
26:44that will reveal
26:45that information.
26:47Specialist
26:48toxicology calculations
26:49could show
26:50whether or not
26:51Keelan was over
26:52the limit
26:52at the time
26:53of the crash
26:53but they need
26:54to get a blood sample
26:55as soon as possible.
26:58We know that
26:59substances,
27:00alcohol
27:01do leave the body
27:02at a certain rate
27:04and it's important
27:06that we can prove
27:07how impaired
27:08he was
27:08at the point
27:09of collision.
27:12The biggest
27:13ticking clock
27:14is obtaining
27:15that evidential specimen.
27:18Having been involved
27:19in a serious crash
27:20Keelan must first
27:22be checked
27:22for injuries.
27:24The driver
27:24had to go to hospital
27:25because of the collision
27:26they'd been involved in
27:27and we had a duty care
27:28to them to make sure
27:29that they were safe.
27:31It's two and a half hours
27:32before police
27:33finally get the blood
27:34sample they need.
27:35A delay
27:36which could impact
27:37the results.
27:42Officers
27:42question Keelan
27:43about the events
27:44that led up
27:44to the crash.
27:46Then what happened?
27:49When I out
27:49picked up my friend
27:51and then
27:52we needed a lift
27:53to Bolton Debrief
27:54to the event
27:55to the nightclub
27:55we went to.
27:57I left my car
27:58in Derry
27:58and then I went
28:00from Derry
28:00to the nightclub.
28:03The account
28:03given by Keelan
28:04was
28:05a fairly standard
28:06night out account.
28:08Obtaining a lift
28:09to a pre-arranged
28:10establishment
28:11spending the evening
28:12there
28:13and
28:14having a
28:16way home
28:16via
28:17a third party
28:19lift.
28:22Chloe Heyman
28:22was also
28:23in the same
28:24nightclub
28:24that evening
28:25with friends.
28:30From around
28:31five,
28:32six o'clock
28:32she was messaging
28:34me,
28:34calling me.
28:36She was
28:37FaceTiming
28:37with her friends
28:38and she said
28:39oh ma'am
28:40why didn't you
28:40come out,
28:40why didn't you
28:41come out?
28:44I didn't go out
28:45and I wish I had
28:45because I would have
28:46taken her home,
28:48would have driven
28:48home with her.
28:53She messaged me
28:54at like eight o'clock
28:55and said I love you
28:56and that was the
28:57last thing she ever
28:57said.
29:01How many pints
29:02did you have?
29:04I had two pints
29:05around six,
29:09six, seven o'clock.
29:10so if we get CCTV
29:12from the pub
29:13and want to play
29:14in the club
29:14it'll show you
29:15having two or three
29:17tranks
29:17two or three
29:17tranks
29:18yeah
29:18I'm already
29:19like yeah
29:21and I think I had
29:22one
29:22double vodka
29:25is it?
29:26So you were
29:27perfectly aware
29:29of your surrounding
29:29what I was doing
29:31yeah
29:31it was quite
29:33spaced out
29:34as well
29:34like
29:34it was like
29:35the amount
29:36of time
29:36I had them
29:37it was quite
29:38spaced out
29:39time in between
29:39and that
29:40although they
29:42knew people
29:42in common
29:43Keelan and
29:44Chloe only
29:45met that
29:45evening
29:46Chloe was
29:56upset
29:56as her
29:57friends had
29:58left the club
29:58by that point
29:59her phone
30:00had run out
30:00of battery
30:01and she
30:02wasn't sure
30:02how she'd
30:03get home
30:03I asked
30:05the question
30:06of do you
30:06want to
30:06come back
30:07to my
30:07leg
30:07and
30:08obviously
30:09she did
30:09the same
30:11boy who
30:11took us
30:11picked us
30:12back up
30:12as planned
30:17the designated
30:19driver drove
30:19Keelan back
30:20towards his
30:21house
30:21with Chloe
30:22on board
30:22but only
30:27five miles
30:28from their
30:28destination
30:29in the village
30:30of Derry
30:31the plan
30:32suddenly changed
30:33Keelan told
30:35them to stop
30:36they stopped
30:38Keelan
30:39got out
30:40and was
30:41followed by
30:41Chloe
30:42and got
30:42into
30:42his
30:43vehicle
30:43so you
30:46get in
30:46the car
30:46you get
30:47in your
30:47own
30:47car
30:48which is
30:48perfect
30:48now
30:49what was
30:49going
30:49through your
30:51head at that
30:51time
30:51it means
30:52to have my
30:52car with me
30:53for the next
30:53day
30:54I don't know
30:54why I haven't
30:55got back in
30:55there
30:55I bet
30:57if I
30:58probably
30:59if I didn't
30:59meet Chloe
31:00I wouldn't
31:01have got back
31:01in there
31:02I was just
31:03thinking of
31:03more convenient
31:04for me to
31:05have it
31:05with me
31:06for the next
31:06day
31:06if I had
31:07to take
31:07her
31:08home
31:08why did
31:10you drive
31:10the car
31:11because you
31:13knew you
31:14were intoxicated
31:15you knew
31:15you were
31:15drinking
31:16I didn't
31:17think I
31:19was intoxicated
31:20like
31:20when I drove
31:21the car
31:21I thought
31:22I was
31:22unable to
31:23drive
31:23tell me
31:26exactly
31:26what
31:26happened
31:26as I
31:29went
31:29towards
31:30down
31:32into
31:32Focker
31:33towards
31:33Focker
31:34village
31:34it was like
31:35a chicane
31:35bend
31:36I went
31:36around
31:36the bend
31:37we're on
31:40the street
31:41and then
31:41you've got
31:41signs that
31:42says
31:42please drive
31:43carefully
31:43and then
31:44when I
31:44went to each
31:44village
31:45hit the
31:47stone wall
31:48on the
31:48left hand
31:49side
31:49we're not
31:55100%
31:56clear of
31:58how well
31:58occurred
31:59and what
32:00happened
32:00we asked
32:00how did
32:02you know
32:02you crashed
32:03this
32:03the impact
32:03a bang
32:05did you crash
32:06because of
32:07excess speed
32:08were you going
32:09too fast
32:10no I wouldn't
32:10say I was
32:10going too fast
32:11though
32:11were you
32:12repaid by
32:12alcohol
32:13no
32:14did that
32:14cause you
32:15to crash
32:15no
32:15at speed
32:16no
32:17I had
32:19alcohol
32:19but it
32:20didn't
32:20it wouldn't
32:20have
32:21it wasn't
32:21I don't
32:21think
32:22that caused
32:23me to crash
32:24like I said
32:24I wouldn't
32:25have drove
32:25the car
32:25if I wasn't
32:26able to
32:26drive it
32:27like
32:28if I was
32:29to say
32:29drunk
32:29or intoxicated
32:30I wouldn't
32:30have got
32:31in the car
32:32I wouldn't
32:33if I couldn't
32:33think I could
32:33drive the
32:34vehicle
32:34I wouldn't
32:34have drove
32:34the vehicle
32:35I wouldn't
32:39you know
32:42that we've
32:43had blood
32:43out of you
32:43yeah
32:44obviously
32:45that blood
32:45is going
32:46to be
32:46sent
32:46off
32:46her
32:46laboratory
32:47analysis
32:47and we'll
32:48get a report
32:49back
32:49are we
32:50going to
32:50find any
32:50controlled
32:51substances
32:51in her
32:52do you know
32:52what I mean
32:53by then
32:53yeah
32:53are we
32:54going to
32:54find any
32:55no
32:55but Keelan
32:57admits to
32:58taking
32:58ecstasy
32:59or MDMA
33:0024 hours
33:01before
33:01on Friday
33:02night
33:02so from
33:05the ecstasy
33:06Friday night
33:07to Sunday
33:08morning
33:08the date
33:08of the
33:09collision
33:09did you
33:10take any
33:10controlled
33:10substances
33:11in our
33:11time
33:12no
33:13and we
33:13won't
33:13find them
33:14in your
33:14flat
33:14no
33:15Keelan
33:16doesn't have
33:17any
33:17previous
33:17convictions
33:18but a
33:19search into
33:20his recent
33:20encounters
33:21with the
33:21police
33:22reveals this
33:23isn't the
33:23first time
33:24he's been
33:24tested for
33:25drink driving
33:25Keelan
33:28Keelan had
33:28been pulled
33:29over on
33:29numerous
33:30previous
33:31occasions
33:32and been
33:33breathalysed
33:33but he'd
33:34always got
33:35under the
33:35limit
33:35so I think
33:36that emboldened
33:37him
33:37we have a
33:39case of
33:39somebody who
33:40has gotten
33:42away with it
33:42before
33:42and has felt
33:44almost indestructible
33:45that evening
33:46you may feel
33:48completely sober
33:49and find a
33:50drive
33:51but figures
33:52and science
33:53will say
33:53that you're
33:53not
33:53in Peterborough
34:04three people
34:05have been
34:06violently
34:06attacked
34:07at random
34:07one of whom

34:10police have
34:13found the
34:13knife they
34:14believe was
34:14used in
34:15the attack
34:15and then
34:17as you
34:17come out

34:31brutal attack
34:32on the

34:33with a lot
34:36of cases
34:36forensics
34:37is the
34:38key
34:39so
34:41a knife
34:43and clothes
34:44were seized
34:44from Qureshi
34:45and they
34:47were sent
34:48off
34:48forensically
34:49to be
34:50analysed
34:50if we

37:22that man
37:22I don't
37:22even
37:23know
37:23him
37:23I don't
37:24even
37:25know
37:25this
37:25guy
37:25why
37:26you
37:26chasing
37:26him
37:26I don't
37:26even
37:27know
37:27I don't
37:29know
37:29why
37:30I'm
37:30chasing
37:30him
37:30I swear
37:32I can't
37:32remember
37:33I don't
37:34know
37:34who
37:34that
37:34guy
37:35is
37:35you
37:35think
37:35that's
37:36acceptable
37:36behaviour
37:36no
37:38no
37:38it's
37:38totally
37:38out of
37:39order
37:39it's
37:40totally
37:40not
37:41acceptable
37:42by
37:43denying
37:43any
37:43knowledge
37:44of
37:44the
37:44attacks
37:44interviewing
37:45officers
37:46think
37:46Inan Qureshi
37:47may want to
37:48plead
37:48diminished
37:49responsibility
37:49he talks
37:51and acts
37:51as if
37:52it's
37:52almost
37:53a
37:53different
37:53person
37:54that's
37:54done
37:54it
37:54he
37:55disassociates
37:55himself
37:56from
37:57his
37:57actions
37:58now
37:59of course
37:59it is
38:00possible
38:00that he
38:00doesn't
38:00have
38:01any
38:01memory
38:01but
38:01it's
38:02also
38:02possible
38:02that
38:02he
38:03does
38:03have
38:03memory
38:03or
38:03fragmented
38:04memory
38:04and
38:04he's
38:05just
38:05trying
38:05to
38:05reduce
38:06his
38:06culpability
38:06legally
38:07speaking
38:08it
38:08doesn't
38:08matter
38:09whether
38:09he
38:09remembered
38:10his
38:10actions
38:10or
38:10not
38:11intent
38:11is
38:12about
38:12what
38:12somebody
38:12thought
38:12at the
38:13time
38:13not
38:13whether
38:14they
38:14can
38:14recall
38:14those
38:15thoughts
38:15now
38:16we had
38:16CCTV
38:17which was
38:17clear enough
38:18to be
38:18him
38:18but he
38:20was trying
38:20to find
38:20a way
38:21out
38:21I have
38:22a severe
38:22depression
38:23mate
38:23I've
38:23got some
38:23for years
38:24I've
38:24been
38:24suffering
38:24with
38:25severe
38:25depression
38:25but the
38:26doctor
38:27Rick
38:27thinks
38:27I'm
38:28psychotic
38:28as well
38:28okay
38:29he thinks
38:30I've
38:30got some
38:30psychosis
38:31claiming
38:34that you've
38:35got mental
38:36health
38:36or drugs
38:37or alcohol
38:38doesn't
38:38necessarily
38:38mean
38:39that you're
38:39going to
38:39get
38:39let off
38:39the hook
38:40there needs
38:42to be
38:42clear evidence
38:43that that
38:43individual
38:44has a history
38:45of mental
38:45illness
38:46and also
38:47they were
38:47suffering
38:47from overt
38:48symptoms
38:48at the
38:49time
38:49from that
38:50CCTV
38:51and the
38:52other
38:52CCTV
38:53I've
38:53shown you
38:54you can
38:54confirm
38:55that that
38:55is you
38:56in that
38:56CCTV
38:56yeah
38:57yeah
38:57obviously
38:57I can
38:57see my
38:58self
38:58there
38:58it's
38:59common
38:59sense
39:00so
39:01when you
39:02have victims
39:03given a
39:03description
39:04of someone
39:04right
39:05and you
39:06match that
39:06description
39:07yes
39:07is it
39:08fair to
39:09say that
39:09it's you
39:10what's done
39:11these
39:12offences
39:13no comment
39:13it was
39:16clear that
39:17this suspect
39:18with the
39:18third victim
39:19was the
39:20same suspect
39:21what had
39:21gone into
39:22the bushes
39:22so
39:22circumstantially
39:23we can
39:24say that
39:25the suspect
39:26was in
39:26the area
39:27of the
39:27first and
39:27second
39:28victim
39:28and he
39:30had also
39:30attacked
39:31the third
39:31victim
39:32but police
39:33still need
39:34more evidence
39:34to tie him
39:35to the
39:35knife attack
39:36in this
39:39particular
39:39investigation
39:40forensic
39:40analysis
39:41yielded
39:42finger marks
39:42from the
39:43handle
39:44and also
39:45DNA evidence
39:46from blood
39:47stains on
39:47the actual
39:48blade of
39:49the knife
39:50the finger
39:50marks came
39:51back to
39:52the suspect
39:53and the
39:54blood on
39:54the blade
39:55came back
39:55consistent
39:57with DNA
39:57from victim
39:58one
39:58it had also
40:00shown that
40:01the
40:02victim's
40:03blood
40:03was on
40:04the
40:04shoes
40:05of the
40:05suspect
40:06but was
40:09Inam Qureshi
40:09mentally impaired
40:10at the
40:11time
40:11as he
40:12claimed
40:12it would
40:14be my
40:15perception
40:15that he
40:16did that
40:16on purpose
40:17and had
40:20the
40:20wherewithal
40:21to hide
40:22the knife
40:22after he
40:23used it
40:23you know
40:25that shows
40:26that he's
40:26aware of
40:26his actions
40:27and he's
40:28trying to
40:28hide
40:28evidence
40:29I believe
40:32that his
40:32defense
40:33didn't think
40:33there was
40:34enough
40:34evidence
40:35to support
40:35the
40:36insanity
40:37plea
40:37because
40:38if there
40:38was
40:39they
40:39would
40:39have
40:39gone
40:39for
40:39that
40:40and
40:42then
40:42given
40:42the
40:42CCTV
40:42to
40:43add
40:43that

40:43to
40:43it
40:44we're
40:44able
40:45to
40:45prove
40:45beyond
40:46doubt
40:46that
40:47he
40:47was
40:47responsible
40:57I'm
40:57still
40:58baffled
40:58of
40:58why
40:59this
40:59happened
41:00and
