What Do You Value Most in Life?
Transcript
00:00If no, 3 is to ski a self, what do we value most in life?
00:04This is a question that encourage you to ski a self, not just when you return between two
00:08options, but throughout your entire life.
00:11What do we value most in life?
00:13What do we want to prioritize?
00:15Is it my health?
00:16Is it my relationships?
00:17Is it my work?
00:18So many of us are so busy focusing on our work that we forget about what we're supposed
00:23to do before.
00:24We're supposed to help us live a good life.
00:26We're supposed to help us build other things.
00:28That we value.
00:30And when we get to cut up in our work, we forget that.
00:33And this is a subtle threat that a lot of high achievers fall into.
00:37They focus so much on their work because they think that their work is the most important
00:41thing.
00:42That everything else is secondary to their work.
00:44But once you start prioritizing your work over the things that met the most to you, you
00:48lose sight of why you were working in the first place.
00:51And here's the thing.
00:52You can't value everything.
00:54If you wanted to value everything, if you didn't want to pick and choose, then you
00:58wouldn't be experiencing ambivalence in the first place.
01:01You would have taken the path that had all the things that you wanted in it.
01:05Ambivalence means that you have to make a choice.
01:08You have to pick between two options.
01:10And if you turn between two options, it means that there are two things that you value at least
01:15equally.
01:16So before you make your next big decision, excuse us what do you value most in life?
01:21And then excuse us which option is going to bring me closer to death?
