00:00And although I understand that the run game was struggling this year,
00:04and I appreciate the fact that Sirianni tried to put himself in the mix
00:08to change things with the run game.
00:10I get that. That's fine.
00:13But as a good CEO, one of the main things you have to be able to do
00:17is not only communicate with those who work underneath of you,
00:21but keep those who are A-plus players or A-plus coaches in this case
00:26invested in what you're doing, and Sirianni clearly failed
00:32in keeping Jeff Stoutland, one of the best position coaches in the NFL, invested.
00:37Now, two things can be true, though.
00:38I think it was necessary to make a change.
00:41You look at the first seven weeks of the season,
00:43the Eagles were only averaging 88 rushing yards per game.
00:46After that, I know they played some lighter defenses,
00:48but they averaged 137 rushing yards per game the rest of the way.
00:52But when you've got a legendary coach like Jeff Stoutland,
00:55who is not even a year removed from your team setting an all-time rushing record
01:01for the entire season, including the playoffs and the Super Bowl,
01:05it is on Sirianni, who I like Sirianni and I respect him.
01:09I think this is a failure on his part as a CEO to keep Jeff Stoutland invested
01:13to the point where he still wanted to be a part of the future,
01:16even if you were making significant changes.
