00:30The goal is to pin down the most voluminous part of your hair, which is your crown.
00:34So take a couple thousand bobby pins and pin around the circumference of your head, just pinning down the crown of your hair.
00:41This will help you fit the graduation cap over your hair.
00:44And then you can pin back any pieces that are sticking out or acting a little bit funky.
00:49And that's the first look!
00:51You should also pin down the graduation cap directly to your natural hair for an added level of security.
00:56If you want to participate in any cap tossing at your ceremony, just slip off the bobby pins on the sly and celebrate with the rest of your class.
01:03If you have super, super thick natural hair like my friend does here, it's really beautiful.
01:08We suggest going with a roll, tuck, and pin sort of style for your natural hair.
01:13So take a couple bobby pins of varying sizes, like we show here.
01:17Part your hair down the side or the middle, depending on your preference.
01:21And start to roll your hair away from your face and towards the back of your head, pinning as you go along.
01:28Do this on both sides.
01:30Continue to roll and tuck these two large sections of your hair, pinning all along the way.
01:37You can tuck any extra pieces underneath each other until all your hair is securely tucked out of the way and pinned down.
01:44This is really a freeform sort of style.
01:47Once again, you are going to have to pin the graduation cap directly to your hair for added security.
