00:00Welcome to the world of a curly girl. In my case, 3C Curly. Today I want to show you how to best use one of my favorite hair care brands, Cantu. I usually co-wash during the week to remove product buildup and maintain moisture. But this time around, my hair is in need of a thorough cleaning, so I will be using shampoo. But, before I shampoo, I like to pre-poo to release tangles and condition the cuticle.
00:26I simply section my hair in four sections, mix two parts Cantu Deep Treatment Mask Cream, and one part my favorite oil. Distribute throughout my hair, and let sit for 15 to 30 minutes, then rinse. Now that my hair is detangled and soft, I'm ready to shampoo. I prefer the Cantu Sulfate Free Cleansing Cream Shampoo because my hair is natural, which makes it more fragile and prone to breakage. Then I'll rinse.
00:55Even though I added conditioner at the beginning, it is still important to condition my hair throughout my styling to ensure that moisture is maintained.
01:04After I rinse, I use about a quarter size of the Cantu Leave-In Conditioner Repair Cream, the number one leave-in conditioner in the market.
01:12To make my curls pop and stay defined, I like to mix the Cantu Define and Shine Custard with the Cantu Curl Activator Cream.
01:18I divide my hair in four sections and apply from root to tip. I either air dry or diffuse to complete my wash and go.
01:27Adding the Define and Shine Custard to the Curl Activator Cream gives my curls the benefits of both products, resulting in more definition, conditioning, and hold than just using them by themselves.
01:37When I need to give my roots some TLC, I apply some Cantu Grow Strong Strengthening Treatment to prevent breakage before it starts and strengthen my weak areas like my temples and edges.
01:48Here's what my wavy and coily friends like to use in their hair.
01:53For my wavy girls out there, I have wavy type 2C hair, so I need products that will give me moisture and definition without weighing it down.
02:01I use the Cantu Moisturizing Cream Shampoo and their Rinse Out Conditioner in the shower.
02:08And then when I'm out of the shower, when my hair is still soaking wet, I apply a tiny amount of this creamy hair lotion only to the ends.
02:16You don't want to put it on the roots because that will make your hair look greasy.
02:19And for me, I like to slick down this side of my hair and keep it close to my head.
02:26So I use just a few drops of the Super Shine Hair Silk.
02:30And then for this side, I like more curl, so I encourage the curl by scrunching it.
02:36And then the last step is I spray the Shine and Hold Mist throughout this side of my head so I can walk in the style.
02:44For my coily girls out there with type 4 hair, it's best for us to use thicker creams to help keep our hair hydrated and soft.
02:53First, I start off with the Cantu Complete Conditioning Co-Wash.
02:57I use this in between shampoos.
02:59After that, I use my Natural Hair Care Leave-In Conditioner.
03:03This is for my treatment and is extremely important for us coily girls to help us keep our moisture.
03:07And lastly, I use Coconut Curling Cream for my styling.
