00:00So when we think about even when Roe v. Wade was in place, access to abortion care in this country was out of reach for far too many people. Right.
00:08And so now that we have Roe out of the picture, which we did not need it out of the picture, we needed it to stay in place, but we knew that we needed to expand it.
00:15We are now seeing that this is now creating an even deeper health care crisis in this country because this is now also affecting maternal health care. Right.
00:25Because we also know the stats there that black women are dying at a rate four to five to 12 times higher than white people, white women, rather, and white pregnant people in childbirth.
00:34And we know what that is linked to. We know that that's linked to racism. We know that that's linked to just not having proper access.
00:40But all of those things are coming into play now. And we are thinking about now we're also seeing how this is connected to criminalization because people are scared around this country that they don't know exactly what's going to happen if they need to go to their health care provider.
00:54Will this health care provider be targeted? Right. Because they are trying to give them access to health care.
00:59Also in that debate, we heard a story. Right. That came from Vice President Harris because she has been on the road.
01:05She has talked to so many people, including organizations like mine, about what is happening around abortion in this country.
01:12And people are dealing with miscarriages and dealing with other health care issues that where they need access to care.
01:19And because of this deep criminalization issue that's also attached to abortion right now, we're now seeing that people are being scared there.
01:27So health care and this branch off that people have like overly politicized abortion access on is becoming a major contributing factor to how people are thinking about what they're going to walk into when they walk into these polls.
