00:00we already know essence brings us together you know i'm so disappointed i think now this is
00:11going to be like the second year in a row where we won't be able to gather as a community but i'm
00:16so excited you know that we just go claim 2022 you know for us to get together um for community
00:26now before i know every i have questions about we already know the decision for you to have gone
00:32vegan um was because you decided to make a lifestyle change because of an illness um before
00:39you went vegan tell us what were the meals like at that dinner table with family honey listen before
00:48i went vegan my favorite things was seafood okay i love seafood and i also love barbecue chicken
00:54those are my things now vegan also means no type of seafood no seafood no no animal products at all
01:02no animal products at all okay yeah no no animal byproducts no animal products at all but i used
01:08to you know i i love seafood um i used to you know always do of course the southern thing of
01:14my greens and yams and mac and cheese and potato salad but i still do those things now
01:19uh just vegan but honey i used to eat good and cook good too
01:23listen and still do um and i'm sure sometimes it's like well it's hard it's like no
01:32well if it's if it's the difference between life and what you want to eat i think i'm gonna pick life
01:39sometimes it's more than just food you know um it is making impact on somebody's life does that get
01:47heavy it doesn't get heavy i think you know i'm living in purpose right and i think when we are
01:54doing what god has called us to do um it's like breathing you know i don't wake up and just come
02:02up with something to say i wake up and it's inside of me right so that's the difference so because what
02:10gets heavy is preparation trying to figure it out okay i need to do this i need to do this
02:15but when it lives inside of you it's a part of you so then that is no weight to carry right and um
02:24i'm just what god tells me to do when i feel it when i hear it you know sometimes i might be up in
02:29the middle of the night going to the bathroom and i'll hear something i have to stop and grab my phone
02:33and type myself a reminder or i'll go in the closet and turn the light on and do a video
02:38oh yeah because some of them seem so impromptu like and that explains it because it hits you at
02:47that moment you got to do it like the other day you're walking your dog blackie
02:51and you you had a word you know you had that phone out you know and and and that's i think that's the
03:00great thing about technology and how you have used it so positively making so much impact um well and
03:09i guess um there was one question on there that's sharing why you chose to to use technology but you
03:14answered it god told you to yeah absolutely but you know the other thing about the world we live in
03:22today if you were in any business you could have a a regular business you know a laundromat and a
03:30cleaning service a restaurant entertaining anything if we're not using this tool then you're not trying
03:38you're not trying this is this is access to the world yeah and a lot of people like to look at the
03:47negative but i said well what about the positive it changed my life this this right here buy it sell
03:52change my life sitting in my car doing a video and you know i and a lot of our older generation
04:01i'm not getting on book face you know right but when i look i i have a personal facebook page and
04:12i see like uh old older church mothers literally having to get on social media because what that's how we
04:20had to go to church now that's right sometimes you can shun this thing but you gonna be forced to use
04:28it or else you will be left behind now i heard about something really really big for you you were just
04:36named an at&t black future maker first of all congratulations to you for that um i think um
04:46the last thing that i would want you to just say is tell me what that means to you well for me you
04:54know i still get mind blown you know when i get these you know recognitions um but for me it means
05:01to continue to walk in my truth and to tell the truth right uh because that is what we need in
05:09the future we don't need a facade we need truth and i want to always do that i want to root everything
05:15in love um but i always want to tell the truth even if it hurts but i want to figure out a way
05:22that in everything i do from this day and in the future to root it in love so that people are willing
05:28and open to listening right and then more people right then the community continues to grow uh but that's
05:36what it means to me to continue to be me and to spread love and and be truthful in everything that

08:01strong enough to say you know what i'm just going to listen to the voice of god and i'm going to go
08:05ahead on and just you know do what he needs me to do and i am more intrigued of the vegan lifestyle
08:13more and more every single day so maybe i'll try maybe go vegan once a week but at the same time
08:21i just go vegan once a week so we'll see and i'm going to keep her up on her offer when those lobster
08:27mushrooms come on in and so i'm just thankful for our time together and i hope you guys um have been
