00:05Girls United Beautiful Possibilities. Six incredible teenagers were chosen for
00:10this program. They get to create a capsule collection that's actually going
00:13to be sold in Ulta Beauty stores. Welcome to Girls United Beautiful Possibilities!
00:19This is our last episode! Today we'll be going to the Ulta Beauty store in New York City.
00:24And this is so exciting because I can't wait to see what we've all been working
00:28on in person in the stores. So tune in and don't skip ahead. Don't be skipping ahead.
00:33Yes. Growing up I didn't have a lot of people that I could look up to that look
00:41like me and the fact that I'm here working with a project where a lot of
00:46little girls that look like me can see themselves being in my shoes in the
00:49future is very inspiring. Okay ladies the time has come. I'm so excited for you
00:57guys to see your first in-store display. You guys have worked so hard. You've
01:03created this beautiful collection and now we are in an Ulta Beauty store in New
01:08York City. Are you guys ready to see it? Yes! Are you sure? Yes! So on the count of
01:14three I want you to take your blindfolds off and see your first in-store display.

01:26Are you so excited? Yes! What do you guys think? It's beautiful. Are we in Ulta right now?
01:35No like our faces are behind there. That's crazy. This came at a point in my life where I really needed it.
01:43Oh no we're crying now because like college is hard y'all and I'm so glad to have met the
01:51people that I've met and experienced this and I will never forget it. I feel great
01:57right now. You girls are amazing. We're so so proud of them. It's just been an
02:04amazing journey. We thank you so much for your mentorship. We appreciate the
02:07friendships we formed along the way. It's just been awesome. We're very very proud of
02:11that. It's just it's just unbelievable. It's just beautiful. I think I think your
02:18products are amazing and I can see their personalities so vibrant and that's why
02:23this looks so vibrant and full of life and so I'm just so proud of them, proud of
02:28my daughter and all the other young ladies. It's amazing. Thanks mom. You're gonna make me
02:34cry. No mom's cry makes me want to cry. My proudest moment was seeing my mom cry and
02:40actually see that I did something to make her proud as well as everyone else and
02:44seeing how like a regular 18 year old from Texas is actually an influencer to
02:51other young girls so that was my proudest moment. There's gonna be no way that
02:57anyone walks into Ulta Beauty and does not stop. You guys killed it. You were like
03:04what you're not gonna do is walk by. You're gonna pick us up and you're gonna
03:09look and you're gonna swipe and you're going to want to buy this. I mean we
03:13could not have expected it to come out any better. It's such a reflection of you
03:17all individually and collectively and we're really really excited for all the
03:22hard work that you put into it and for it to come together so well. To know that I'm
03:25able to show the younger girls that hey you can come from a small town and have
03:29a collection in Ulta Beauty or you can be black and have this huge opportunity or
03:34you can be a woman and have this huge opportunity to show them that all these
03:37things can happen for them and so much more. I'm so blessed to be able to do that.
03:42Like what we wanted to get across in this palette and just a big theme was
03:47empowerment. We wanted girls to use our palette and feel empowered that's why you
03:51have names like Boss and Unapologetic and Chip Hoppin because we wanted people to
03:57feel good about themselves when they used our palette and seeing it printed out
04:00like when we walked in and actually say like wow like I thought of that and
04:04having it on a palette was crazy. Yes it's for everyone everyone will see
04:08themselves when they look at the packaging which is so important. Like even
04:12the girl with pink hair. She's gonna walk in and be like I've never seen myself.
04:15Pink hair, you have blue hair, orange hair. Everything. I love it. And like Girls United
04:21like the whole meeting like it just means much more to me now. Like it just means
04:25family. Like all you guys are like a fan? Yes. The biggest lesson I've learned during
04:31this journey is how to work with a team. I was blessed to have five other
04:37incredible girls alongside me in this journey and just learning how to talk
04:42with each other and collaborate definitely is just gonna benefit me in
04:45the future and it's a lesson I will never forget.
04:49We had you go through this process. We had you take all these different steps and
04:54then we said when you really committed to it and came through it that we would owe
04:59you all something back. So in representation of finishing off the mentorship program we also
05:09had said there were ten thousand dollars that came along with this process and we're just gonna
05:17say this is our opportunity as Ulta Beauty to present you with the representation of the ten thousand dollars that also cost.
05:28So you did that ladies. Thank you.
05:31So the money got the tears.
05:44I'm sad because this is ending and like I've kind of like grown up throughout this. I'm like dedicated.
05:51I got a tattoo and it's a it's our shade name so like trailblazer. I got it on my ankle. I can't
05:57show y'all because I can't stretch like that. Looking at the person I was then and the person
06:01I am now like it really was the beginning. It was the beginning to a new me, a new start,
06:05a new lifestyle, a new sense of like hope and just a sense of actually having a purpose. Like I feel
06:14like a very strong woman and like I can do anything now. Seeing so many inspiring women that look like
06:21me definitely has opened up like how I perceive myself and just knowing that my opinion matters
06:29and I'm very creative and I can I can do whatever I put my mind to. Being on this journey with you
06:35has been phenomenal and you are the epitome of black girl magic and know that I will be buying these
06:41products for every young black girl that I know and I want to share it with the world because I'm so proud
06:47of you all. Every black girl out there will be proud. We've done it so hug yourselves. Enjoy the moment.
06:53And one thing out of this entire experience I want you to remember and to take with you throughout
06:57your life is that remembering back to the beginning of the program. Getting ready to record your casting
07:03video and you almost talked yourself out of that moment or you doubted yourself but you're staying
07:07here with all of us. Whenever you want to shoot for something big always remember that moment, okay?
07:13Promise me you'll remember it.
07:17We made this for you. We had you the guest in mind and we were making it and we put so much love and so
07:26much heart into it so much soul into it and I know you're going to love it so you should go pick it up
07:32when you can in Ulta Beauty stores soon. We have learned so much from this experience and from each other.
