00:24How does it feel to be here at the Oscars tonight?
00:26It's exciting.
00:27I love this, I've been here several times, but it never gets old.
00:30I mean, you know, I'm from Michigan, small town in Michigan, used to watch the Oscars growing up.
00:35If you would have told me back then, like, I'd be hanging at the Oscars, it's crazy.
00:38So I'd never get jaded about it.
00:40You know, it's easy in our business to be like, oh, I've got to do this and that.
00:43I was like, no, this is, this is the best.
00:46I love that.
00:47And for you, what was the box office response to The Housemaid like for you?
00:51It was amazing.
00:52I mean, we're just about to hit $400 million worldwide with it, which is thrilling.
00:58You know, you make a movie.
01:00This is my first, my last three were for streaming, and I've always done theatrical before that.
01:05But getting away from streaming, even though I really appreciate it, I make my movies for audiences.
01:11And to have a group experience.
01:13And so to get this in the theaters, and then have all these people showing up and having fun,
01:16and filming themselves, watching the movie, having fun, that's how we're going to bring movie theaters back.
01:22Give people a good time in the theater.
01:24And what can you tell us about The Housemaid 2?
01:27Well, we're going to start shooting in the fall.
01:29Script is all finished, just doing a little bit of rewrites on it.
01:32But ready to go, and Sidney's coming back, and McKellen Maroney's coming back.
01:37And then some new, very exciting actors are coming in.
01:40Well, we're excited to see it.
01:42And you said, of course, you're rooting for Rose Byrne.
01:45But what other film or performance are you rooting for here tonight?
01:49I love Sinners.
01:51Really love Sinners.
01:52I think that was my favorite movie of the year.
