00:00In newly released documents dating back to 2005 from a civil lawsuit, Cosby admitted to getting
00:08prescription quaaludes to give to women he wanted to have sex with. This new admission prompted the
00:12ladies of The View to discuss this as part of their Hot Topics segment. While most of the ladies
00:17felt Cosby was guilty, Whoopi, on the other hand, wasn't quick to jump to conclusions saying, and I
00:22quote, I don't like snap judgments because I've had snap judgments made on me, so I'm very, very
00:27careful. Okay, so does Whoopi slay because she knows what it feels like to be judged and doesn't
00:33want to immediately jump to conclusions? Or do we shade Whoopi because how much more evidence will
00:38it take for her to admit that Bill Cosby was wrong? All right, ladies, here we go. Count of three,
00:43slayed or shade. One, two, oh, that was just like a record time and shade, shade, shade. All right,
00:48Corey, I'll let you go. First of all, like you said, how many more women does it take? You know,
00:54we were talking about it outside. It's not like 20 had a different story, 10 had something else.
00:59They're all consistently the same. And now that it's on record that he did do this, let's take
01:06Bill Cosby off the pedestal. He is a predator and he needs to be accounted for that. And I understand
01:14what Wookiee coming from just a little bit as far as her no judgment, but this is much more serious
01:18because I, you know, we were watching the clip and it was about, you know, it's like she has some
01:22leftover resentment for her being judged in the media. And it's just, this is something
01:27different, right? It's totally different. Sharia? And like Corey said, this is not about
01:30a personal judgment on who he is. This is a criminal that we have protected for so long.
01:34And it's dangerous as women and as black women who are the least protected. We have to be able
01:38to stand up and say, this is a consistent message we're seeing from women saying, this is what
01:42happened to me. And he's saying it out of his own mouth. And as a, as a woman, as a mother of a daughter,
01:47it's dangerous to try and protect these people. And we understand that's her friend. I understand
01:51if she says, I choose not to comment or I've never seen that side of him, but you don't
01:54get to say 40 women are lying. You don't get to say he admitted to it, but I still don't know.
01:58That's true. You ever have one of those thoughts that, you know, you need to work out of your
02:02house and like talk to people in your house before you say it nationally? I think like this
02:07is one of those times. Oh, she didn't bet this back. She didn't, she didn't bet this to a couple
02:10of people at home and then was like, you know what? Let me hold my judgment. It's not even judgment
02:16anymore. If the man admits to doing it, we're no longer judging. We're just going by the facts.
02:20Yeah, that's true. That's true. I think it's going to be very interesting to see how this
02:23evolves and what the next steps will be.
