00:08because after I got over the brain tumor they don't have 10 years of technology
00:13to tell people what to expect so I was like maybe this show I was turning down
00:17all kinds of shows and I kept saying no no no no no this one kind of hit me and
00:21fell on my lap and I was like well this could be a great avenue because they
00:24don't want all the drama I was like I should probably speak up because I can
00:29mesh two things that I love you know music and then helping people so I was
00:35like maybe I'll share my story because I feel like God spared me and I can help
00:38somebody along the way we can laugh because I think laughter is the best
00:42medication and so that's why I decided I'm here in my life y'all can see it and
00:47this is what it is people go through things and I have strong will to live my
00:51daughter and then I have a great mother so just between prayer and being a mommy
00:57really gave me extra strength I've had sickle cells since I was born and in and
01:02out of the hospital so I think that kind of prepared me for this big you know
01:07brain tumor surgery that I just went through and I lost my speech my sight my
01:11hearing and my balance and it was a lot to get it back but the fact was I wanted to
01:16be back just to be a mother so I was gonna do whatever it took I've superseded other
01:21things that the doctors told me I couldn't do and so I had to I had to get
01:25through this I was like big god you don't have time to die come on now you
01:29know come on my faith worked but whoa it was a doozy I'm not gonna lie you know but
01:36you know I'm trying to look at it in a positive way like I said from the begin
01:41that hopefully it'll help someone and I've gotten a lot of tweets and emails
01:46about how a lot of people have gone through it and what they got from it so if I can
01:50even help one person that's good I don't take anything for granted you know two
01:54decades later some doors are opening for me and I've already had that great
01:58career with TLC that haven't you know some people never got to do any of it at all
02:03and it's like I have a new like life of other things you know to come so I feel
02:10really blessed we're doing music TLC is we're doing two new songs we're doing a
02:1420th anniversary package because VH1 is doing a biopic about our life so it's a
02:19movie so we'll remix some of the older songs and then also I've been recording
02:23as well so I'm gonna release a song called champion we had talked about a
02:27hologram but that was years before Tupac was that was called Coachella I felt
02:33some kind of way honestly when I seen Tupac come off the floor I had tears in my
02:36eyes oh my god this is a little too real I don't know if I can take looking at
02:40Lisa next to me in that real form and figure because it's been 10 years and we
02:45just now can look back at the jumbotrons or lead screens or whatever they use
02:49that's hard and that took me 10 years just to look back like oh yeah she's up
02:54there let's rock out without breaking down on stage so I don't know if we're
02:58gonna do it or not it's emotional for both of us and that's something we're
03:01discussing but we will be going on tour this summer
