Transcript
00:00Hello, everyone. Welcome to Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Spring 2012. You are hanging out with Essence.com, front row backstage. I'm Tia Williams, your beauty editor. This is the lovely Xanderlei Blais, our fashion editor. And we're about to go check out DVF, so follow us.
01:00We just saw DVF. I'm so in love. I keep saying I'm so in love, but I actually really am so in love with the hair there. It was very Hitchcockian, Tippi Hendren and the birds, like a chignon with a bouffant in the front. It was really clean and crisp and kind of icy. I loved it.
01:27With a bronzy cheek and this really very matte kind of raspberry lip. It was gorgeous. This is what I want to look like. So what did you think of the clothes?
01:35Okay, I have five words for you. The glamour and the drama. Because she served you style and it was all so effortless and so chic. It was like a woman who oozes so much style that she's not thinking about the beautiful floral prints she's wearing. Lay it over a gorgeous sequined skirt. Lay it over some ruffles and organza. Lay it over a jacket. It was just so gorgeous, so beautiful. I thought the accessories were also really fresh and beautiful, but we know DVF for this.
02:04And let's just get into the front row for a second. Did you see Corinne Bailey Ray? Yes, with the perfect hair. Did you see Oscar de la Renta? Did you see Valentino? It was really just beautiful and so powerful and so classic, Diamond Furstenberg. And the flags were a nice touch.
02:22I'm still weeping. She came out at the finale and handed out these little American flags in the audience. It was so touching. I was weeping. It was just a nice little tribute to what today really is about.
02:31September 11th. It was gorgeous.
02:33We love DVF and we love you and we'll see you next time at Front Row Backstage. Bye.
02:39Bye.
