Transcript
00:00Hello everyone, welcome to Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week, Spring 2012.
00:10You are hanging with Essence.com at Front Row Backstage.
00:13I'm Tia Williams, your beauty editor, and this is Andalei Blais, our fabulous fashion editor.
00:17And we're about to go see Tadashi, so come with us.
00:30The makeup and hair was to dye, so it was all very rosy, flushed.
00:38It was just like a very sheer kind of wash of rose over the lid, very dewy cheeks.
00:44And the hair was really beautiful.
00:46It was pulled back on both sides in the tiny fishtail braids and connecting in the back.
00:51It was really, really lovely and sort of romantic and glamorous at the same time.
00:55So, Zandalei, what did you think of the fashion?
00:57Well, I've got to say, if the makeup was kissed by a tulip, then the clothes were kissed by a bakery.
01:02I mean, everything was absolutely delicious.
01:05If you look back at the clothes from the flouncy, gorgeous, draping hemlines to the beautiful, tiered ruffles,
01:11and everything just looked dusted by sugar because he had the sheer panels underneath and just the color over it.
01:16It was absolutely beautiful.
01:18Tadashi's really a favorite of a lot of celebs like Taraji P. Henson.
01:22A lot of socialites like Bevy Smith in New York City love him.
01:25So, he really, really showed why our women and women of color are totally into his clothes.
01:29I loved it.
01:30Vivek is another one that loves him, yeah.
01:32Vivek actually wears them a whole lot.
01:33And if you look in our stargazing on Essence.com, you will see her in a few of those pieces.
01:37So, we love Tadashi, but there's a lot more shows to see.
01:40So, we hope you stick with us at Front Row Backstage.
01:43Bye.
