00:00you're Black and Latinx. And sometimes that argument assumes that we're not talking sometimes
00:07about the same people. That's number one. And the big picture is the wealth gap, right? So
00:13even when people make close to the same amount, the wealth gap is the thing that's the biggest
00:19gap. The wealth gap between Black women and Latinas with respect to white women, the median
00:30wealth that Black and Latino women have is $100. That means that up to half of Black and brown
00:40women are worth less than $100. Wealth is what determines where you live, what kind of education
00:47you can afford for your kids, what kind of health care you can afford for yourself, for your
00:53parents, for your children. So wealth is the most significant indicator of well-being. And
01:00women of color, Black and brown women have almost zero amount of wealth. That is where we really
01:06need to be spending a lot of our energy for agenda setting, for politics. And we just don't talk
01:12about it nearly enough.
