00:00I'm in awe, to be honest, Ms. Patty, to be standing here with you and to be alongside all these
00:05beautiful honorees that don't for a second take this lightly or for granted.
00:10And when I think about my life just two months ago, it changed forever.
00:16I've done all these great things. I've worked for the White House.
00:19I've been the president of the Grammys, still on their board.
00:24I've worked for Google at the highest level.
00:27I've had a seat at almost every table in every industry.
00:31But today and this year, I just feel stuck.
00:35And in that moment of pride and ego, I stopped myself and I began to pray.
00:43318,000 black women have been forced out of the workforce in just three months.
00:50And God said so clearly to me, just launch the fund.
00:54And I did it because I had the tools. I've learned from Google. I've learned from the Grammys.
00:59I've learned from the White House what to do when crisis comes.
01:05And so I did what I was trained to do. And 40,000 black women applied within 72 hours.
01:10And so I just want to say thank you to those of us in this room for seeing each other,
01:17for recognizing us, Michelle and Rich and everyone here.
01:21And we got work to do.
01:23All right. Like when we leave here, just know there are 318,000 women counting on us to be bold,
01:31to have courage and to not back down.
01:34So you have my commitment to honor them. And I thank you for honoring me. Thank you so much.
01:40And Bevy, the slit is out, honey.
