00:12The Gray Man is getting a sequel at Netflix.
00:15The first film premiered on the streaming platform July 22nd
00:18after a limited theatrical run starting July 15th.
00:21It stars Gosling as a secret agent being tracked down
00:23by a sociopathic mercenary played by Chris Evans.
00:27While speaking to The Hollywood Reporter at the film's premiere,
00:29Gosling said this about working with Evans on the film.
00:32It was fun.
00:33You know, I always wanted to make an action movie.
00:35So I finally got to do it.
00:36I thought it was exciting.
00:38Directors Joe and Anthony Russo are also set to return for the sequel.
00:42They said,
00:43With so many amazing characters in the movie,
00:45we had always intended for The Gray Man to be part of an expanded universe.
00:48And we are so thrilled that Netflix is announcing a sequel with Ryan.
00:52The streamer also announced that a spinoff movie is in the works as well.
00:55As for the sequel,
00:56The Gray Man co-writer Stephen McFeely will pen the screenplay.
00:59When asked about a sequel at the film's premiere earlier this month,
01:02McFeely told THR this.
01:04If there is one, I will be involved.
01:05How about that?
01:06Yes.
01:07But lots of conversations are certainly happening.
01:09Do you hope there is another movie?
01:11For sure.
01:11Yes, I've done too much.
01:13I've had too many sleepless nights thinking about it and writing things down.
